Went to Wig Warm on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Entered , no customers inside , bartender behind bar with absolutely no hello or acknowledgment. First time there so we didn't know the ordering procedure. Found a table, bartender was busy ignoring us so we figured we must order at the bar. Nice beer selection... we ordered, she said 16 it 12 oz? Thought about it" hmmmm... think I will go 16 " to which she replied passive aggressively or perhaps just sarcastically " you think? Kinda of set the tone for the dinner. Took our order and the food was good, had the brisket beans and coleslaw. We got another couple small beers. No interaction, acted bored and like she resented us being there. Perhaps we ruined their closing early plan due to it being slow? If so a friendly " we are about to close up early folks " to spare us a unfriendly dining experience. You have heard of a hostile work environment? How about a hostile dining environment. We finished and I went to mid bar to pay with a card. Saw me standing and snarkily said you have to come here.. I can't bring this to you ( meaning the pod terminal. She was awful. The Wig Wam catered our daughters covid wedding in Kingston and we are so grateful they did! The meats were the best barbeque we have ever had and all of the sides were also superb. They delivered exactly on time and were so friendly and helpful. The pickles are out of this world. Even though we live over an hour away we will become regulars as it is more than worth the drive. Finest brisket I have ever had, tender, juicey and you can cut it with a fork. Oh yeah, I'll be back! Baked beans slightly spicy, but a nice bite that you can easily get used to. Mac salad was great. Chili has a slow back bite, but once again, it goes away quickly. read more

Some of the best bbq my family and I have had in a long time. My kids had the pulled pork sandwich with beans. They devoured them. I had the fatty brisket plate with double sides of beans. Each meal came with a pickle that didn't taste like a pickle at all. Delicious! So here are the reasons for the 4 stars... portion size on the brisket plate was small. The side selections were limited. Mac n cheese or mashed potatos, etc would've been nice. Not everybody likes mayonaise-based sides. Finally, it was weird that my kids couldn't eat in the pub but had to go and eat in the brewery. Oh well. We will definitely go back for the bbq. read more

Don't blink! Or you'll miss Gorst. While missing Gorst might not be the most heartbreaking thing in the world, missing out on the Wig Wam Pub in Gorst will be. I'm not a bar person, and quite honestly I'd rather spend a Friday night at home with my favorite bottle of booze on the comfort of my own couch. In recent weeks some girlfriends have been attending the bingo sessions the pub has on Wednesday nights and I figured I would go along with them once. I have been going back to the Wig Wam on a regular basis since then, including trivia nights on Sundays. For being a little pub in Gorst, the place has a lot of charm. The employees, including the owners, are extremely friendly. The main bartender that is there when I am there has gone out of her way to learn my name and treat me like part of the Wig Wam family. I've not had much interaction with the other bartenders/waitresses, but they seem really friendly and helpful. They have a pretty extensive list of beer (and they always have great cider on tap), and their barbecue is awesome! I love that they have some different type of dish on Tuesdays (with leftovers to last throughout the week in case you can't make it in on Tuesdays). Their pulled pork nachos, pulled pork sandwiches, and beans are the best. I'm definitely glad I gave them a try. They're a lot of fun. read more

My coworkers and I come here about once a week and we are never disappointed. As an IPA lover I appreciate that they always have 1 or 2 on tap and at just $4 a pint $12 a pitcher I'm sure these are the best prices around. But wait there's more. Never in my life have I had such delicious bbq. Whether it's smoked ribs or pulled pork it's done right. My final prop to this place is their no drunk driving policy. This is a review for Wig Wam's catering. We had our wedding catered, with smoked brisket, ribs, and pulled pork provided on the John Deere smoker. Really, you can't go wrong with delicious smoked meats, good friends, and delicious beer. Everyone loved the food, so much that I (the bride) had to go back to the pub a week later so I could try some of the brisket (it was gone by the time I got around to eating on our wedding day). We stopped in on our way up to visit family in Sequim, being in the mood for BBQ and having heard from Yelp that this place was worth our time. It turned out that Yelp was not wrong. You order food and drink at the bar when you come in, then find a table. I got the brisket plate, with baked beans and potato salad as my sides, while my partner got a pulled pork sandwich with baked beans. While we waited, I ducked into the ladies room, which is adorned with art from the "Perfect Guy" calendar (it was just over the top enough to be charming). When I came out, we got our food and yeeeeeaaah. That brisket was legit. Fall-apart tender, perfect taste... it came with some BBQ sauce on it and we got a squeeze bottle to add more... but it was done so well that I really didn't need any extra flavoring, the meat was doing the job all on its own. The beans and potato salad were also great--my partner remarked that the potato salad might be better than her grandmother's, which is high sacrilege but was not wrong. She also really liked her pulled pork sandwich, although I didn't try it myself. The brisket plate also came with a sweet, spicy pickle that was a nice little touch. We washed it down with some ice cold lemonade (for the driver) and crisp, delicious cider (for the non-driver). Overall an amazing meal, we were really glad we stopped in! read more

This bar has a very small town welcoming feel and dedicated locals. I think everybody knows everyone else by name. It feels like the owners just wanted a safe & public place to hang out with friends everyday, and if you find your way inside they will welcome you with the same energy and warmth. Out back they use an old John Deer tractor that's been converted into a smoker to prepare the daily special. It reminds me even more of a neighborhood BBQ because of this. Today I'm serving brats.... brisket.... whatever it is its guaranteed to be delicious! Don't come looking for an extensive food menu, but there will be no reason for you to leave hungry! They rotate about 12 or so micro-brews on tap chosen by the owner. A great selection! It's also fun to see the 100s of tap handles hanging from the ceiling to get you in the mood for some good beer! And don't forget to try their home-brewed ROOTBEER! A fun, family-friendly hang out. I think this place isn't as widely appreciated because it's a little off the beaten path. We went to Wig Wam for a business lunch based on it being suggested by the guy I was having lunch with. He had tried their brisket at some sort of fair or something. He was excited to get me to try it knowing how much I love BBQ. First issue, no brisket. Ok, let's try the pulled pork. I asked about the side dishes being home made and they said yes. So I ordered the potato salad and chili. So the pulled pork had no color that would indicate that is was in a smoker. A slight hint of smoke flavor but not nearly enough for me. The potato salad tasted store bought. The chili was probably the best part of the meal. And the BBQ sauce was good. Visited in February. Do not know how things are during Covid stay at home. I see the post regarding tipping for take out. Please note I believe during Covid take out should be tipped equivalent to sit down. Just saying, and I do tip to support local at sit down normals during Phase 1 and 2 take out. I wish yelp allowed 1/2 stars. This place deserves 4.5 stars when we visited. They did an awesome smoked Cornish game hen. I mean AWESOME. It rocked. My hubby had the brisket. We switched as the portions of the brisket were small (my only peeve) . Tremendous flavor. The green bean side was awesome, but the potato salad was probably bought at Safeway lol. Planned a graduation party around Wigwam smoking an 80# whole pig. Delivered on time, but due to an error by the butcher (hog partially frozen), it was not pull-apart tender when delivered. Called Mike up, he came right over to carve 'er up. Guests all enjoyed it, Mike did everything he could to make it right, even ran back to the pub to deliver a smoked whole beef brisket and a jug of sauce & buns to help compensate. Also offered monetary compensation, though it wasn't ultimately his fault. Wasn't what I paid for, but it got the job done. I will use them again, and I do recommend. BTW, their price was quite reasonable compared to the regular whole-hog-roast guys. Quite quite reasonable. read more

As a former bartender this was a bad experience. Great food, great beer, the beer brewed by them is great but the attitude was very unwelcoming. First time there so I found a seat at the bar, which happened to be across from the brewer and owner sitting and talking with a couple. It was relatively slow with a couple people coming in to pick up orders, 2 people to sit down, and another leaving. Didn't get greeted so I figured the bartender was working on orders, no big deal. Got up to grab popcorn, met eyes with the bartender who was directly across from me and she walked away with evening saying acknowledging me. Not that difficult to at least acknowledge a guest... saw her cleaning tables and stacking glasses, talking with others at the bar, as I sat there at the bar still not greeted. After over 5 minutes on a slow night, as she approaches me with dirty dishes I ask her, "it's my first time here, is there a preferred way to order here?" She says, "yeah people will order right there at the bar." No sign posted that says, "order here," or directs people to order there... just suppose to know I guess. Instead of taking a few seconds to tell me, "please order over here and then find a seat" or even, THE FUCKING OWNER WHO IS SITTING ACROSS FROM ME AND SEES IM NOT BEING SERVED BECAUSE I'M NOT AT SOME UNEXPLAINED LOCATION AT THE BAR, TELLING ME OR THE BARTENDER TO AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGE A GUEST! They simply choose to ignore some one. Don't care how good your food or beer is, if you don't treat the people buying your food and beer well then it's meaningless. Moral of the story, don't go here, there are other places that have great beer, great food, AND great service. read more
