The owner came up to me. I was browsing. The owner was very an aggressive sales person. I didn't say I wanted to buy. I said I was browsing. She said this is what you need. She had me sit down. I am totally frustrated. This shop owner is not honest. Five months ago my Best Friend sister purchased an expensive wig (from Esther,) Because her sister had stage four brain cancer (the chemo left her with significant hair loss) shame on this wig shop for switching her expensive wig for a cheap wig that doesn't fit. I got a charming wig from this store and I've had so much positive feedback. It was pricey, but it was needed. Very large selection. I was waited on by a very kind, blond haired girl who was filling in for the owner and she was very sensitive to my situation. I would recommend this shop. I chose this store for my first wig, in spite of the negative reviews and I'm glad I did. Esther is very experienced and knowledgeable and she went out of her way to help me. It's clear she has seen every "hair" situation that exists and she guided me to the right decision (a human hair clip-in piece) at this time, even though the cost of a full wig would have been much higher. I have received many compliments on my "new haircut" and could not be more pleased with the results. Wow! I am really shocked at the negative reviews! I came into this shop last week because I wanted to check out the wigs for myself, and had a friend with me that was interested in one as well. I am a 3 time cancer patient, and have a few wigs already, but upon trying the first one on, I could tell the quality was much better than any I already had (and the ones I have are NOT cheapo wigs). Anyways, Esther told me right off the bat that the one I had on was not for me, lol! I loved her honesty!! I had bought a wig a few months ago from a guy who told me everything I tried on was great, even when they obviously looked like crap. She was not out for the easy sell, but helping to find the one that worked best. She's is a straight shooter no doubt, maybe some people confuse that with rude, but no way! I first had witnessed, (and experienced) Esther's kindness with clients. I will be retuning back to Esther's shop for another wig, she's got a great selection, so why limit myself. read more

Despite negative reviews, my mom still wanted to visit this wig store. She is a business owner herself; gave benefit of doubt. She had seen inventory briefly in passing and hoped to find something. Online closing hours posted as Saturday's until 6pm., Mom called at 2pm to confirm. Ester, owner says she just left going to store and will return in 30 mins. Meanwhile, in route, under 30 mins Ester called Mom on her cell and ask where she was, Mom tells her close. Apparently, Ester captured her cell number because it was not provided. ODD. We arrive, initially Mom was excited and Ester was nice. Ester didn't allow Mom to browse, she rushed to show her what she wanted instead of trying to understand Moms desires. Mom has thinning on top and long hair on sides and back due to medical condition. Ester inquires, Mom explaines her situation....immediately Ester turns to me, ask if my hair is real, when I say no, she insensitively blurts out in poor tone and taste, so are you bald like your mom? Wham! Insults us both! I walk away refusing to dignify with an answer. Mom quietly explains I am currently undergoing chemotherapy and had a lot of hair. Without apology or hesitation, Ester instantly focused her attention on me by trying to get me to try on a 900.00 wig...I refused. The nerve! Meanwhile, Mom was eager, but struggling to find a proper fit and style she felt comfortable in. By the 3rd wig, it became obvious Esters disposition had changed. Her body language and attitude reflected she was annoyed that Mom wasn't happy with either of the 3 wigs tried. Each time Mom asked my opinion Ester aggressively answered for me or was insistent on over talking me. Eventually I insisted she let us talk to one another. It became clear to us Ester did not care whether Mom had a comfortable fit or desired style, she wanted a sale. Finally, Mom acknowledged she had not found anything this visit....OMG! Ester instantly turned on her heels and abruptly began the cleanup process, her body language signaled she was angry. As Mom got herself together, Ester told us in rude indignate tone that she left her home to meet us and that it was an unlucky day for her!! I walked out of store in disgust during her comments; Mom told her each day she was blessed and fortunate to wake up was a lucky day! We summed OUR experience as a negative one. We found owner to be solely interested in the ultimate sale, and disinterested in the customer satisfaction or the overall customer experience; owner was insensitive and lacked empathy for the hair loss and health condition of the customer; owner used insulting comments and exhibited disrespect and lack of class, tact and judgment during consumer interaction; owner did not commit to posted and established business hours, then lied, ultimately blaming the customer for the inconvenience of operating within business hours after a sale was not achieved. Based on OUR experience, a zero rating would have been provided had it registered appropriately. We will not return. read more

The owner, Esther, of this shop is a complete and total crook. She has outright taken advantage of my mother who is suffering from stage 4 cancer. My mom bought an expensive wig from them-Esther complimented her on what a very, very nice wig she had;She returned to the shop today to learn how to wash it properly. Esther said she would take care of it for her-boy, did she. She actually SWITCHED her wig with a thin,cheap synthetic one with the tag actually hanging out!! My mom is devastated. We attempted calling her, only to have her deny deny deny. To take advantage of a sick cancer patient is beyond disgusting. This woman needs to be put out of business. My recommendation? Do not buy a wig from this woman. She's very dishonest. She takes advantage of cancer patients. How very disgusting and sad is that. Patients who are diagnosed with cancer are emotionally vulnerable. In my case, I went in and she immediately tried a wig on me. She said it looked great on me. She asked about my insurance and told me that the insurance co. would pay for it so I had nothing to worry about. She began cutting it without asking me if I wanted it. So guess what? Yes, the wig was mine because it was already cut. When I went to pay her she told me I really needed two wigs one to wear and one to wash. She said, "I will give you a good deal on two wigs.". Well I was able to see through that and only bought the one wig. I'm so glad I didn't buy the other wig. When I brought the wig home it didn't fit right. I took it back three times before she told me the back of my head was flat and the wig would never fit right. She made me so upset that I finally went to a lovely gentleman that has a wig shop in Long Beach. He repaired it and cut it beautifully. He charged me only forty dollars. It was worth every penny. He told me the wig should have been ordered in a petite size. He also shaved my head and was positive, uplifting and professional. STAY AWAY FROM ESTER!!!!!! I went into this shop about a month ago and purchased a wig from a lovely girl named Christina.. she was very knowledgeable and friendly and helped me find the perfect wig for myself. It was something I was dreading doing and she made it enjoyable and very comfortable. I assumed she was the shop owner so I went back again thinking she could help me find another back up wig. I was greeted by a different woman, Ester, who apparently owns the shop. I told her that I was looking for a wig, and she immediately started criticizing me and the way I looked. Not only was she extremely condescending and rude but she made me feel ten times worse than when I walked in. I guess I was in shock by what kind of woman she was and continued to still give her a shot. She didn't listen to a word I said about what I wanted or was looking for. I read the bad reviews and went ANYWAY.... Completely humiliating and depressing....I have temporary hair loss from stress and the way she grabbed at my hair telling me "oh your hair so thin".... then put on a wig then she said "looks good" and I said looks so shiny and maybe too thick, and she said "well your hair is so thin that's why you think so this wig is actually thin too"... Then she said I should wear a piece that clips on. I told her I don't like clips they hurt and I've tried before when I had hair loss 2 years ago and the clips are damaging. Nevertheless she continues putting it on and I am telling her no and she is hurting me. So we finally get it off and she is PULLING OUT MY HAIR WITH THE CLIPS and she says, oh your scalp is so sensitive, you are going to lose more hair look here. THEN she says I should be happy because I just have hair loss and a lot of her customers are DYING and losing hair. Actually, I have thought of this myself in an effort to stop thinking hair loss is the end of the world and I've lost a close friend to cancer and she was in such great spirits the entire time and just KNEW she would get better and KNEW her hair would grow back. Wow the prior reviews were not good BUT i wanted to stop in as this is the closest wig store to me that i know of without going up to long beach so i figured I'd start here. I'm recently in need of a wig but i was out of town for work and was very depressed about my hair so i bought one while out of town a few days prior to my visit here. Anyway i wanted to compare from the place i had been. I was greeted and immediately helped by Sunny. She said the wig i had on wasn't right for me. She showed me better how to wear mine, how to place it on my head and position it and pin it on. She told me how to care for it. She did some different styling options with it for me. I was open and interested in trying on more wigs. The first one she brought to me was perfect. Also i will say their prices and are decent and reasonable , way less than what I paid for my first one out of town a few days prior, which was in las vegas by the way, so i was pleasantly surprised and sort of wished I had waited but ok with having 2 options now. The one she picked out for me, she also showed me different ways to style it. She also trimmed the bangs and sides for me a bit so they weren't in my face. I hate hair on and in my face/eyes. Anyway she wasn't pushy or anything she was genuinely helping me see how to wear and care for my wig that I came in wearing and to show me something that complemented me better. So yes I bought the one she chose for me as I truly did like it a whole bunch. Then another women walked in while Sunny was ringing me up. She was Esther. The one in all of the prior negative reviews. She was super nice to me. She did something, I don't want to say what so people don't go in asking her or expecting it, but she did something that was very nice as well. Sunny also told me to bring my wig back before I wash it so she could explain it to me but she and Esther both explained very well how to wash it and care for it. But I feel like they will be there to help me if I needed to go back for any assistance in caring for or wearing my wig. Sunny said she is new there but has 30 years in the biz styling and I could tell , she was good. So I had a good experience. I wish the others before me had. I hope everyone else will now as well. They must get alot of business being there by the hospital and such. When I went I was the only customer at the moment so it was good to get all the help.
