We love this place, just wish they had a location in Simpsonville. The first time we ate here we were in the area from out of town and wanted to try a local place. The pizza was great and the beer was cold. The kids got cheese pizza slices the size of an adult head and they loved it. Now that we live here we eat here quite often and usually bring our out of town guest to try it, always a hit! If there were a location in Simpsonville, we would definitely frequent. read more

Came here for dinner one night with my wife as we had received a coupon in the mail for a free medium pizza. The place was packed so we sat at the bar and the bartender was quite friendly. We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated which they seated us outside without even asking if that was ok. Our waitress got sick an apparently didn't get anyone to take on the table so we had to track someone down and ask about our waitress. We didn't get served till an hour after we had ordered and of course our food was cold!!! We don't complain much but told the manager about this and he simply said ok.....not sorry, not let me make it right, but simply OK. Walked in, 7 open tables, told 45-hr wait. Ended up getting sat in under 10 minutes. It's like they were trying to push people away. Ordered pizza & wings extra crispy. Pizza was ok, wings were soggy. Advised waitress of issue and was told by the manager "when you order wings extra crispy, you have to order sauce on the side". Celebrated our son's HS graduation there last night. Called about a week and a half ago to reserve a table for 16. When we arrived, they had no record of my call, but in spite of a large crowd they pulled together several tables to seat our family. I have been eating here for the past 3 years or so and it has always been one of my favorites. However tonight Aug 18, 2020 was not a good dining experience. Our server although friendly and polite was not very good, could not get her to even refill a glass of water and tea, etc. But that can happen and I can overlook that. Here comes the "fun part" We get our check, first because of this pandemic I guess, you cannot see the detail of your bill on the little machine they hand you for you to put your credit card in. You see that after you pay and they print it out for you. Wild Ace Pizza should be renamed the "Spirit Airlines of Restaurants". You are nickle and diming your costumers for everything! 25 cents for water, 50 cents for HOT SAUCE for my pizza, 3% credit card surcharge....are you kidding me???? And before you say "you are hurting as a business" because of this pandemic, well so are we, the diners. We are hurting too. Why don't you just raise your prices a dollar or two across the board instead of ridiculous and tacky charges for things like water? And when I inquired about it, the server was pretty much like "oh well, everyone is doing it". No they're not! I've been eating out since restaurants reopened and this is the first time I have encountered this. And of course there was no manager around to inquire about this. Very disappointed. read more

I have been coming to wild ace for years- even before it moved locations. We came on a Saturday night, after two big football games and sat outside. I'm not sure what has happened but the service was terrible and the food was not all that great. After waiting 45 minutes for food, our waitress came back and the bottom of my calzone had gotten stuck in the oven (???) And they had to redo so I took mine to go and didn't even eat with my party. Another person got a sandwich and it came prepared wrong also but after waiting 45 minutes he just ate it. When we told the manager about the calzone, he didn't even seem apologetic- it was just oh I'll take it off your check. It made it seemed like it happened a lot more often than it should. We had first time visitors with us and I can guarantee they won't be back. Many servers who were there in the past are now gone and most of the new servers are young and seemed inexperienced. I used to come to here every Wednesday and hadn't been back in a little while and now I know why. The food is decent but we were really disappointed especially in comparison to a year or two ago. read more

They have several TVs to watch sports...about the food: You can also build your own and they have gluten free options but you have to then order a bigger pizza...which is also ok! Make sure to check your credit card receipts and bank statements! We split the bill and my brother in law tipped $10 in addition to the $25 cash we left (for a to go order). We were their no longer than 45 minutes (waiting on food) and had drinks while we waited. I checked my bank statement that Monday and our waitress Brittany had put an additional $10 on my tab as well. When I called about the issue the manager (Dawn) did make it good and refunded the $10. Dawn did not seemed to worried about the waitress and said mistakes happen. I clearly had a zero with a line through it (for tip) on my receipt. It is a shame that we thought we over compensated (bill total was $100) the waitress and then to have that happen. First...big crowd for 2:00 PM on a Saturday afternoon, so I was feeling good, and you know what -- it was pretty good. The beverages were fine, well-carbonated, tea not too sweet. We started with the pimiento cheese appetizer which I really liked. It was very cheesy with a grind that was not too coarse and not too fine, and it was spicy. It had a very nice kick. My wife got some wings and a slice of pizza, my mother-in-law had a salad, and I had an Italian sandwich. Starting with the mother-in-law she was not impressed with the salad...the chicken was frozen, the lettuce was "boring" and so forth. My wife liked the wings pretty well, but she didn't like the sauce that was on them. She also didn't care for the pizza too much. She doesn't like when the toppings are underneath the cheese, and she thought the pepperoni was too thin. I like when the toppings are underneath the cheese, so I was pleased with the pizza. I would have preferred, I think, that the sandwich have a little more meat on it. So there you go. I did like the decor and look forward to going again sometime. read more

We ate here for the first time tonight and had a horrible experience. We had a party of 11, but we weren't complicated. Mostly waters and salads and pizza slices for our kids. It took over an hour to get our food and it wasn't packed out. We were sat on the patio and waited 15 minutes before even receiving menus. Our waiter was courteous enough, but never provided any reason as to why our food took so long. We were there a grand total of two hours for sub par food. Don't waste your time here. There are lots of better places to eat in downtown Greer and Greenville. We won't be back. read more

Wild Ace Pizza Pub...I really used to enjoy this place. Since the new restaurant has opened the quality of the food, service and staff has severely diminished. The past three times my wife and I have visited our orders were prepared incorrectly, intertwined hair in our food and it took forever to get our meals. The wait staff will claim "we have a large party" or we are "under-staffed right now" as their excuses. The reason for my review is this past weekend my wife, several friends I visited Wild Ace for an adult night out. When we arrived we were greeted by a hostess that was stoned out of her mind. She sat us quickly and we were greeted by our waitress which seemed "thrilled" to be working. We ordered our drinks and meals. The food was returned to the table in strange shifts, I ordered 6 chicken wings and salad. When I politely asked the waitress if my food was ready she would glare and make some dumb excuse why it wasn't on the table. She would scurry off to the kitchen and never return to the table with an explanation. 39 minutes later after the entire table was almost done eating their meals my food arrived and the waitress never offered an apology or compensation for the delay in food service. My wife asked for a to-go box, the waitress never returned with a box, I went to kitchen and got one myself! We as a group decided to stick around(giving the benefit of the doubt) for a few adult drinks after we ate, we went to the main bar inside, it was busy but had empty seats. We stood their for several minutes and were never acknowledged by the bartender. Apparently you have to be a "regular" to get bar service anymore. In closing I really hate that this is the type of service to expect from Wild Aces. The restaurant is in walking distance to my home and usually has a great atmosphere. The past few years I've noticed that the staff is getting worse, they are frequently intoxicated which I think accounts for a good amount of the issues the restaurant is facing currently. We liked the old " hole in the wall " feeling of the old wild aces better! This new one is too generic, too big too noisy. Can't enjoy the "old bar feeling". Bartenders are slow at best. Last night was maybe my 3rd time to eat here. We had a group of 8 and this seemed like a good Friday night choice. I ordered a burger and Parmesan chips. The burger was just barely ok. It was thin, tasteless, & had come apart in the cooking process, but was put on a bun and served anyway. My granddaughter ordered spaghetti & meatballs, and the noodles were full of water as if they had not been drained. The waitress brought our checks & we all provided our cards to pay. When she brought the receipt back to sign, she did not include the printout of the itemized bill. I included a tip & signed the receipt. My SIL was doing the same thing, but my sister was questioning why her bill was so high. She asked the waitress to bring the printout & we discovered that tip had been included in the bill. The whole thing felt a little underhanded to me as the waitress was about to get tipped double. We all made adjustments to our receipts, but this is not a place that I want to go to again. read more

I have previously always enjoyed the food and atmosphere at wild aces on my frequent visits to Greer. My business partner and I drove in last night to work for the week and I figured I would grab a beer and pizza at wild aces upon arriving, being that it's a pizza joint and bar and Monday night football was on I figured it was the perfect spot. I googled to make sure they were still open and said closes at 11....perfect, plenty of time for beer and a pizza an some football. I arrived at 940 football was on we ordered a pitcher walking to our patio table under the tv. She brought our beer and we immediately ordered a pizza. Moments later in the middle of the game the tvs cut off, and were talking maybe 10pm. I asked the server who was mopping and stacking chairs around us if she could turn it back on. She said no the tvs couldn't be turn back on they close at 10 (google says 11) so we are out pizza and drank our beer to the sound of mopping sweeping and chairs being stacked. Wild Aces SUCKS !!!!! That's right... I said SUCKS !!!!!!! They are more concerned about watching a Clemson football game than they are about treating customers fairly. Any sports fan that comes to this establishment to watch any sports event that conflicts with a Clemson football game will likely be disappointed. True, they do have at least seven television sets. However, if the Clemson Tigers are playing at the same time as a different game you are interested in is playing then you may be out of luck. They would not even leave one television open for an alternate game. A group of 5 of us experienced this treatment first hand on 10/7/2016 during the Indians vs. Red Sox ALDS playoff game that we had already been watching for 2 hours. Wild Ace management went so far as to welcoming us to leave when we politely asked to watch the remainder of the baseball game. Please keep in mind we were causing no problems whatsoever and had already spent a fair amount of money on food and drinks. If you were planning on watching Game 4 of the World Series here I would recommend calling ahead to find out if Wild Ace will continue to disrespect REPEAT customers as they did with our group. The Clemson vs. FSU game and Game 4 of the World Series will be in direct conflict with each other this Saturday night. On top of all this, Wild Ace management has still not replied with an explanation or an apology of any kind. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews easily found online. You will find complaints about slow, shoddy service, poor food quality and even a reference to drug abuse by Wild Ace staff. read more
