We started coming for breakfast and had a good experience. Then, one day we came for lunch. I had their ruben sandwich and when it came out it was soggy and fell apart. I've never had to eat a ruben with a fork before. I would expect a restaurant to take pride in every meal they prepared. Much to our dismay, this was not the case with Wild Berry Diner. Well I am very glad that I stopped in for breakfast . The staff is very nice and courteous . The biscuits and gravy is delicious . I had the French toast plus and it was great . Home-style breakfast with very generous portions. Reasonably priced. And *so* good! We love the Eggs Benedict so much, we didn't order anything else for awhile. But when we did, we tried the waffles with fruit and whipped cream, and they were equally excellent. Then we tried the blueberry pancakes - same thing. Pretty sure that they make their own sausage patties, which are also excellent. Service is very attentive, even when they're busy. Our orders came out perfect every time, too. My wife, kid and I on a whim embarked on a trip to Mesa for V-Day. Knowing well that most of the restaurants at Superstition Springs would be booked to the hilt for dinner, we ventured down Main Street instead and found this gem. We ordered take out. We live across the street. By time we got home food was COLD. The meat loaf and potatoes were drenched in salty gravy. The meat loaf was not your typical meatloaf but more like a processed frozen TV dinner. We also got Ceasar salad The lettuce was more on the wilty side. Big disappointment. read more

Eh...it wasn't as good as what the reviews said. My Denver omelette was a little over cooked, kinda tough bland eggs. Hash browns were not homemade, I think it was frozen potatoes. This is not the 1st time I've eaten here which has always been very good. Yesterday my wife and I stopped in for an early dinner and my wife had the fish fry which she was very hay with but I on the other hand was very disappointed. I asked the waitress if the Gyros was cooked on-site on the spit and she said it's cooked in the kitchen. When delivered the pita was great the sauce had great taste but needed cucumber and please no lettuce. What was a shock was that the gyro meat came in 3pcs of paper thin square meat that did not come off a spit but was processed and tasteless. It's not what I'd ever expect from a restaurant with a Greek flag on the wall. I'm from Chicago and anywhere we go for gyros have never had a gyros with so little meat and NO taste. Lastly I asked the waitress if they had any baklava for desert and was surprised when she had never heard of it! I will still come back for breakfast but can only hope they improve. We eat at the diner at least 3 times a week and usually order from the breakfast menu. We've never had a bad experience. The reasonably priced food is always good. I love the french toast...because it's the way I like it. Not a ton of sugary sweetness! You could 't find a better staff, even if you tried. Most of servers have been there forever and are wonderful people. I obviously love the place and the people and Christina is doing a great job of remodeling and redecorating the place. Came in for a quick bite due to appointments we only had 30 minutes... Asked of it was a possibility and they welcomed the three of us with open arms! We ordered three different breakfast options...all delicious mmmm the sausage links were so good and their breakfast red potatoes mmm mmm mmm. This is a fun Mesa Diner. It is a Greek Diner and everything that comes with it. One thing that was a little weird was the proprietor grabbed my wife by the hand and led us to our table. Never had that happen before, and was a little off putting. The food was solid diner fare. My wife got a bbq sandwich that was chopped and had lots of fat in it, and her browns weren't that crispy. Our amazing waitress, Maureen, happily replaced my wife's order to her liking, and took terrific care of us. We'll be back! read more

I came here for biscuits and gravy at a friends suggestion. The service was great, but the biscuits were just ok. They were rather large biscuits, and kind of dense. The gravy was bland and didn't have a lot of sausage in it. A couple shots of Tabasco took care of the blandness. Have dined at Wild Berry many times and never was disappointed in the food. Went today and lousy cook. Ordered a chicken sandwich with teriyaki sauce. Got a bland piece of chicken (does he not understand what seasoning can do) with a glob of gooey teriyaki sauce spread on the bun. Bun became soggy and sauce was dripping out. My husband ordered chicken fried steak. Meat was again bland and gravey was lacking seasoning. They desperately need a new cook. Will not recommend this place again. read more

My family and I were looking for a place to eat and saw that this place had 4 and a 1/2 stars. They should have been 4 and a 1/2 falling stars. I've never had a worse pancake in my life and the biscuits and gravy were fresh out of a can. The biscuits could have been used as bricks to build the restaurant we were eating in. The French toast was horrible. The only people eating in here where geriatrics that knew no better. I didn't complain I just will never return as I could have eaten better at St. Vincent de Paul in the soup line. Save yourself some money and get the big breakfast at McDonald's, it'll be a 100% better and cheaper. We live in the county and will be feeding the pancakes, the biscuits and gravy, and the French toast to our wild bird population. I took my mom here for Mother's Day. They had an all you can eat buffet that was amazing, live classical guitar music, and they gave my Mom a white rose! It is a very cozy and homey atmosphere and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. Great experience! read more

The six of us had a really nice time at the Wild Berry. It is a Greek restaurant that also has basic American food on the complete menu. I had the Greek spaghetti with a mild sauce and a unique flavor. Some of the others had other Greek style dishes which I cannot remember how to spell! One had the senior turkey, mash potatoes and dressing. Alas, the gravy was too salty for her taste. It was a large portion for a Senior plate. The waitress, Michelle, was a delight but being from Boston still spoke "pretty good "English. She was very entertaining and kept our group laughing as she interacted with us. All in all it is one of our favorite restaurants especially for small parties who have different tastes. With the good prices to go along with everything else, you will not be disappointed. My favorite is the Aunt Sarah's Omelette with their crispy hash browns that I believe were sent from heaven. The dessert case is full of really good stuff that's all made fresh! The price is hard to beat, too. I came in for lunch with some coworkers around 11am and there was plenty of seating and great service. You're able to order breakfast or lunch and they give you a free "soup of the day" with your lunch entrée! We were all given the lentil and bean and couldn't be more pleased. I ordered the BLT on toasted bread with a side of fries. I really wish they served avocado, but it's not an option they offer. The fries weren't my favorite so I'd choose a different side, but not a deal breaker. My meal cost me about $10 with a drink included so it's definitely priced right. read more
