I thought I had published my review but, well, oops. Here I am now telling y'all that breakfast was yummy: the Canadian eggs benedict were delicious, and cooked to perfection! The hash browns were good, but I like mine quite crispy (crunchy food and eggs go so well together). Coffee and orange juice all around, and a temptation for pancakes made me taste a good chunk from the plate I thought we were 'sharing'. They were very busy, it was brunch time, with all tables occupied but still smiles were seen on the staff's faces. I hadn't been back here in a long time, but I think Cozy Corner will be on my rotation now See you next time! read more

Don't order the hash browns unless you like mashed potatoes. There was not one strand of grated potato that was brown. And there was no seasoning from the kitchen. The seasoning you see in the pic is from the customer. The coloring of the picture was not altered, that's the actual color of the potatoes. read more

I ordered the double hamburger. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion. The lettuce was fresh and crispy. The meat was plenty and tasty. They offered breakfast potatoes which were better choice than fries . The service was quick and efficient. Plenty of free parking. For a small place the menu was huge. read more

Me and my girlfriend love this little diner so much, any time we can't decide what to have for breakfast we just head to cozy corner. This little hole-in-the-wall Diner is by all means fittingly called the Cozy Corner Café with good reasons. Its cozy, its quaint, its comfortable, its folks are nice, its homey and by all means its tasty. We were there for breakfast and right off the bat I have to say, they put out one of the best grits in town. If you were raised in the South, you know how hard it is to get decent grits in Phoenix. Come and get them here! After getting our orange juices and Coffee, our breakfast consisted of simple dishes of a smooth and silky scrambled eggs, crispy soft hash browns and Grits and my order of perfect eggs over easy, with grits also and a side of ham. Marvelous! Simplicity is at its best, and they do just that. I tried something a little different today. Had the three meat skillet with raisin toast, which was awesome. Kris was my food service. She did a beautiful job as usual. From the moment we walked in the door to receiving our check, the food, service and ambiance was STELLAR at the Cozy Corner Cafe!! Tiffany, our server, was fast, efficient and very friendly Also, owner Lou and his manager are happy and welcome everyone with open arms!! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I traveled to somewhere in the Midwest. I love their classy diner style decor. Food is also reminds me of my Midwest days. I tried their country style steak for my breakfast. I loved the flavor of the gravy. I also liked the fact they had apple butter jam for my toast. It reminded me how I used to love my mother in law's homemade jam and breakfast, and I felt like I was back in her house. Service was exceptional. My server was friendly but not only that, the entire staff worked so hard to take care of all the customers. In fact I couldn't remember which one was my server was because so many others stopped by to refill coffee or something. Price was very affordable. In fact, I felt like they haven't raised price for 20 years! They accept credit card but since I saw many other customers leaving a cash tip, I did the same. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this diner for breakfast. read more

They were lying to people about wait times to get us to stay. They told me 15 minutes and an hour later I asked the host where we were on the list. We still had 4 customers in front of us. We left and went to Waffle House but they wasted a whole hour of our time on my 1 day off. I don't mind waiting but I don't appreciate them lying about wait times. I think they do it on purpose so you stay. If they told us it would've been over an hour I wouldn't have waited so I think they lie on purpose. Very dishonest and disappointing. Food looked good but I guess I'll never know. Please do better. read more

Cozy Corner Cafe is such a great spot! We came in as a baseball team and had an awesome experience. I ordered the Two Eggs Any Style with two strips of bacon and a pancake, and everything was absolutely delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy, and the pancake was fluffy and flavorful. The food came out hot and fresh, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Definitely a great place for teams and groups. Can't wait to come back! read more

I came back after a long absence. Things haven't changed much. Still great food still crazy busy. I had a short wait before being seated and got my coffee a couple minutes later. 10 minutes I placed my order. I got a half order of biscuits and gravy, a scrambled egg, and hashbrowns. My food was out in 15 minutes. The biscuits were homemade and flakey. The gravy was thick and creamy. It's been experience that a lot of places use too much salt in their gravy. This was not the case. The eggs and hashbrowns were good. It won't be such a long absence this time before I return. read more

We don't live in the area but were nearby for an event. Based on the reviews, we thought it would be worth checking out for brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is charming and the staff was warm and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a bit of a short wait, but we didn't mind. The menu offerings were ample, but my husband & I thought the food was very average. The fries were also flavorless and disappointing. I mention fries because most places easily get this simple menu item done right. I'm guessing this is a place for locals/regulars that value the convenience and lower prices, over taste quality. Everytime I drive by here always looked busy.. So decided to give it a try. Breakfast and lunch place and I was in the mood for breakfast.. Always in search for good chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy. Ordered the chicken fried steak with hash brown, eggs, half order of biscuits and gravy which was up charge (which was not bad). Ordered standard breakfast with pecan pancake which was also up charge. Biscuits and gravy side dish was pretty big. It was pretty good... Except I tasted little bit too much of the flower. It lacked in some flavor compare to some of the other places I've tried. But it was still pretty tasty. Chicken fried steak was very yummy, nice and crispy outside. Hash brown was one of the better ones I've had.. Eggs were cooked perfect to my liking.. Over all the portion was very good and tasty was also very good. Pecan pancake was pretty darn good. Slight chewy and doughy at the same time.. One of my top 3 pancakes.. Considering I'm not a pancake person but I couldn't stop eating it. Over all this place was well worth the visit.. Very friendly and attentive staff. Price is also very good.. 2 breakfast with upgraded sides and coffee cost $33 after tax. I would definitely come back here and try some other dishes. read more

People consistently came in and they had a great system that definitely works for them. I was also impressed at them getting our drinks, orders and food out in a timely manner, I didn't feel like we waited long at all, and like I said, they were busy. Food was good, and the kids definitely enjoyed theirs as well. I can tell their food is consistent which I appreciate in a restaurant. Back in town and of course we had to visit this place. My favorite - the breakfast burrito- is still on the menu and that is what I got. My dining friends all got eggs and chorizo because, as all the locals know, they have the best chorizo in town. Everything lived up to what I remembered. This place is still an amazing hidden breakfast/brunch gem. Although judging by the crowd, maybe not so hidden. Maybe pretty well-known and popular. read more

It was a cute little cafe and the service was great. I got the Breakfast burrito supreme and the salsa on top had a funny taste. Other than that it was a great experience. My boyfriend loved his chicken fried steak, but the potatoes were a little funky. Its very cozy and feels like the staff is close with each other which makes the environment so much better. The service was polite and efficient. I'll come again and just order the chili burger now that I know their chili is up to snuff.

So we stopped here for lunch on a Friday about 12:30 with our 3-year-old granddaughter. Our initial server barely said two words to us and we felt like we were an imposition. When we ordered my wife asked did they have Pepsi or Coke products he said we have bottles and cans of everything, so she ordered a Coke. It was Mexican Coke which is fine, but $5, and it wasn't until we noticed other people had cans of regular Coke and realized he did not give us a choice. When we ordered our burgers, again he barely said two words and did not ask us how we wanted them cooked even though the menu says cook to order. When we got them they were very rare, see the picture, which we're okay with although we would have ordered them a little more done. My wife said no onions on hers, and of course there was onions on her berger. Later we were served by a waitress who was much more friendly and we realize was probably just not there yet when we sat down, so the initial waiter didn't really care what we thought since we weren't going to be his customers at the end. So sadly what could have been a very pleasant lunch was spoiled by the initial waiter, even though the food was good we may not be back.

I had heard of Haidilao from their other locations, so I was excited when it was announced they…read morewere opening a location in AZ! Of course, had to wait for the hype to die down before checking it out. Once there, the server explained the process - basically you just place all your orders through the iPad that's on the table. Very convenient to scroll through the different categories and everything has pics to help you decide what to order. Once you have your selections in your cart, you just send your order to the kitchen. You can do this for multiple rounds, basically just small to medium sized orders until you feel like you're at a good stopping point. The first thing to select is the broths. You can choose 2 broths or 4 broths. For our group size, the server recommended 2 broths so everything can heat up and cook quickly. We got the tom yum soup and the three delicacies soup base (seafood, mushrooms, jujubes). We also got an assortment of meats, veggies, etc. The tom yum soup was by far our favorite. The other one was too bland. Honestly I didn't know what all meats we ordered, just that they were delicious. Some other highlights were: pork dumplings, potato noodles, etc. We also got the signature dancing noodle, which I thought was purely for show, but the noodle itself was really great - super chewy. Haidilao is great for groups, especially so you can try a little bit of everything. It's not exactly cheap, but it's for the experience and meats are naturally on the more expensive end. Our total per person ended up being around $50. If your group orders more high end option, it could easily skew closer to $75. Had a great time here, would come back!!

The restaurant definitely leans heavily into the entertainment side of dining. The dancing noodle performance is genuinely fun, especially if you have kids, and the service is attentive. That said, I'm super disappointeed. The biggest issue is the value. By the time you order your broth, proteins, vegetables, noodles, and extras, you're spending the same amount you could spend at a James Beard award-winning restaurant, yet the quality of the food isn't even anywhere near equal. What Haidilao is really selling is the experience, not the flavor. As an Asian woman who regularly makes hot pot at home with family, I came in excited and left sooooo underwhelmed. The ingredients were fine, but nothing stood out as exceptional. The broths lacked the depth and richness I was hoping for, and overall the meal felt more focused on presentation and service than creating memorable flavors. And even then, the service wasn't great. I frequently had to flag down the waitress for a refill or help. If you're looking for a first hot pot experience, celebrating with kids, or want the novelty of the noodle show, you may enjoy it. But if you're already familiar with hot pot and are coming primarily for the food, you may find it hard to justify the price. For us, the experience was memorable (and only because it was our first time trying this place). The meal itself definitely wasn't.
