We then went to look at the treats aisle and noticed a handful of dog food bags that were on the bottom shelves had an accumulation of dried urine on them. Just something to note and advise to perhaps not purchase any items from any bottom shelf. In our entire visit, we also noticed no one greeted us, asked if we needed assistance, etc. We ended up leaving and headed to the Petco just down the road and had a much better experience there.

The store is full of toys but these dogs don't have ANYTHING in their kennels to play with. Several of the dogs are in desperate need of bath and grooming. The 4 mo. Golden Retriever has been in kennel for TWO months. Asking price is now $1,495 down from $1,895. I can't imagine who would pay this amount from a pet store. What happens to the dogs if they're not adopted or get too big for the small kennels? Pitiful situation.

If you're coming for cat products, you have some options, but not as much compared to the big chain stores. They even have a dog wash station! The self wash stations are available by appointment and also on a first come, first serve basis. The stations close at 6 pm Monday through Saturday and close at 4 pm on Sundays. Wash and dry time is limited to 30 minutes total per dog and costs about $15 per dog. Add on's (de-shed, for example) are available too. A rewards program is also offered in which you can obtain points and use them for a discount when a certain threshold in reached. Also, check their website for monthly promos, too! Lastly, we were also told they have two sister stores as well: Play Wash Pint (barks and brews) and Play Wash Stay (boarding and daycare). We look forward to checking out each one. We walked in and first noticed no foul odors and then were quickly greeted by a friendly staff member. We came in looking for harnesses. Their merchandise is well stocked with organized, clean, and cute displays. They have a good selection of harnesses, leads, collars, and flotation vests for dogs. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a good clearance section too. While walking around the store, we stopped by the small animals for sale. Happily, they all looked healthy. We appreciate how clean and tidy this store was kept as well as how friendly and helpful the staff were. We'll definitely return to this Petco for any future needs for our dog if we can't find it first from a mom and pop store and need the selection. Highly recommend.
