We came over from Illinois for a weekend getaway the weekend before Christmas. It was almost noon and we were starving. We stopped in around 11:45 AM and they said it would be about a 20 minute wait. I gave them my cell number and they texted me a link. It took me to Yelp and showed me our place in line on their waitlist. How cool is that! On to the food... I ordered an omelet with bacon, cheddar jack cheese and mushrooms. They use four jumbo eggs so the thing was massive! It came with some skillet potatoes and wheat toast. I also got a side of bacon as I usually do at every breakfast place. Everything was delicious! One of the best omelets I've ever had. I couldn't go there without trying their freshly squeezed orange juice. It was $6 but was good. We also ordered a water and they brought out a pitcher. That way we could refill at our leisure and not have to wait for someone to bring refills. Very smart concept! I have been coming to Wild Eggs or ordering carry out or delivery for quite a while now. Today I ordered something new the avocado toast and a cup of fresh fruit. The choice of fresh fruit was excellent. But the avocado toast needs some help. I hope you don't mind my suggestions. First off: thin out the amount of avocado on the toast. I like the use of tomato's and Balsamic vinegar. But it needs something more to make it pop. My first time trying Wild Eggs was a couple years ago, shortly after the Mass Avenue location opened. I ranked the Hoosier Bennie, which featured a tenderloin, corn salsa, and dijon hollandaise, as one of the best Bennies I'd ever had. Most recently, I visited the Carmel location on a Saturday around 1 p.m. The restaurant was much less busy so we were immediately seated. Unfortunately, the Hoosier Bennie is no longer on the menu, but there is a new Bennie called the Black and Blue - cajun seasoned steak topped with hollandaise and bleu cheese crumbles. I usually avoid ordering steak from any restaurant that isn't a steakhouse, but I took my chances and was pleasantly surprised. The steak was tender and flavorful, and the eggs were perfectly poached. The seasoned potatoes that came with the dish were also delicious. My friend enjoyed the french toast. There are lots of other mouth-watering options on the menu for both breakfast and lunch. The servers and hostesses were friendly. If I lived nearby, I would come here more often. read more

What a great way to start our day. We found this place totally by accident and were so glad we did. We were promptly great and seated. Once seated we were greeted by Edgar R. Who introduced himself. He took our drink orders (2 unsweet teas) and also brought out a pitcher to leave at the table. This was a nice touch as I needed a lot of caffeine, I could refill my glass as needed and not have to wait for someone to do it for me. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Wild Eggs; this breakfast / brunch / lunch restaurant fully deserves all five stars. I've been trying to eat more vegetables, so I got the Farmers Market Skillet, which was bell pepper, onion, zucchini, yellow squash, wild mushrooms, skillet potatoes, broccoli, oven-roasted tomato, melted cheddar jack cheese, two basted eggs and an Everything muffin. So many vegetables! It was just what I wanted. The veg was all cooked perfectly -- not at all mushy, but not undercooked either. I opted to have my eggs cooked scrambled, and that was a good choice. The only thing that made the dish better was a sprinkling of Cholula hot sauce. The Everything muffin was amazing, even though I'm not quite sure what was in it besides poppy seeds. It was definitely a savory muffin, and not very sweet at all, which was good. My dining partner got the Hoosier Bennie, which was a pork loin breaded and fried, buttermilk biscuit, two poached eggs, fresh Dijon hollandaise topped with corn relish and salsa. He said it was excellent. We went on a Sunday around noon, and there were people waiting outside on the sidewalk. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes, but we didn't wait any longer than 30. They are very quick here, considering! We were also waited on promptly, and we got our food quickly, and the server was friendly but not overly chatty, and the coffee was amazing ... My spouse had the chicken crepes with spinach, mushrooms and also had that wonderful Mornay sauce and said his meal was top notch as well. We ate at the first-come first-serve bar and our waiter, Jake, did a wonderful job. No waiting for a table if there's space at this bar. SECOND VISIT: Hubby had the breakfast tamale and said it was good except for the tough-ish chicken. I had the Bennie's Gone Wild, eggs Benedict with wild mushrooms and a lovely sauce. It wasn't the best, eggs had runny whites and they were supposed to be cooked medium. Just not crazy about this dish, my personal taste. Both of our meals were a little cooler than they should have been but we just weren't in the mood to send them back. They have a wide variety of egg dishes prepared in whatever fashion you would like them prepared - omelettes, frittatas, bennies, standard preps, etc. My wife ordered the cinnamon role and was very pleased with the large portion and nice preparation. While on the subject of portions, all of the portions are very large so come with an appetite or be prepared to take some home. My wife also got the roasted garlic and mushroom omelette. There is a large portion of chèvre in it so if that is your thing then go for it but if not stay away. Service is also great. Restaurant is very clean. We were coming from all over Indiana and Illinois, and this was the only restaurant that would reserve a table(s) for us. The servers were friendly and fast, and the food - every order - was delicious and made correctly. Looking for a decent breakfast and brunch place in Carmel that includes libations? Look no further than Wild Eggs. This egg-centric chain brunch place has everything from omelettes to bennies to steak and eggs. If it has eggs in it or on it, they probably have it. We visited the Wild Eggs location in Carmel. It's conveniently located right off Meridian St. with ample parking in the back. This place does take reservations and I highly recommend making on if you have more than 2-3 people in your party. Our server, Molly, was very pleasant and promptly greeted our table after we were sat. She made sure to point some of her favorite menu items and informed us of the delicious libations the restaurant offered. Wild Eggs boasts its own coffee (no GFS or SYSCO blends here) and it was pretty decent for drip coffee. Not too acidic and not too stiff that would require you to add several packets of sugar and creamer to drown it in. They also have a lovely espresso menu. I ordered the Foster Con Panna, which was their take on a bananas foster espresso drink. I was expecting a small espresso shot style of drink, but this place likes to go big or go home! They presented me with a large hot cocoa-sized mug with a mountain of whipped cream and dried banana slices to top it off. The drink itself was good (albeit a little too sweet for me with all the foster syrup in it, so I added some regular coffee to cut it a bit.) My dining mate ordered off the libations menu and got a pomegranate mimosa to start. He wasn't overly impressed as it didn't have much pomegranate flavor in it. His second drink was a screw driver and it definitely packed a much better punch. As with my espresso drink, this came out in a tall pint glass. That's a lot of OJ and vodka bang for your buck. I went with the Surfer Girl omelette per my server's suggestion. It had cream cheese, spinach, and green onions cooked in it and was topped with a pile of fresh sprouts, pico de Gallo, and choppped avocados. I love sprouts, which is why I ordered this omelette, but I think they could have lessened the amount of sprouts and given me more pico avocados (though the pico didn't add much flavor truth be told.) On the side I got an "everything" muffin. It's like it's brother bagel by the same name, but in muffin form. Quite good! Had a lovely cornbread-like texture. I also had their grits of the day -- turkey sausage and Swiss. Not a huge fan of grits by themselves, but the addition of sausage and cheese sounded interesting. It wasn't bad, but wasn't super amazing to where I'd have it again. I think it need a tad more cheese. My partner got the steak and eggs, and as with Everything else we had ordered... It did not come in a small ha ha! The steak was nicely breaded and fried with a very tasty gravy on top. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and came with some nicely roasted potatoes. We have tried a lot of different breakfast joints in the area. We keep coming back here! The food is good. The service is excellent. The staff is well trained and the get the food out fast. I always try to tip in cash even when I pay with credit card. These days waitstaff gets robbed by the establishment they repurpose their hard earned tips to other employees so they don't have to pay them. Simply put your tip subsidies other staff so the restaurant doesn't have to pay them. Seems un-American! When you tip cash the power shifts back to the server. read more

Came in here while looking for brunch with the family. I was honestly very skeptical about this place as the decor leaves a lot to be desired, it is pretty barren. After seeing the menu, you notice it is very typical in terms of eggs, bacon, hash browns, pancakes and the norm for breakfast foods but they have certain variations on a few things such as the eggs Benedict. After looking through the menu a bit, I landed on something that sounded pretty good, which was the Mr. Potato Casserole. Basically it was hash browns formed into a sort of round cake, then topped with all kinds of toppings like tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, cheese and then an egg (I choose over medium) it was freaking delicious and would recommend it to anyone and everyone who comes here. A little tip: i subbed out the sausage that comes with it for corned beef as I think that works better with the hash browns. My wife got the Bennies Gone Wild which was a mushroom sauce Eggs Benedict and she loved it. It was not as good as mine, but it indeed was good. The other two in our party got very basic breakfast dishes (think just eggs and potatoes) and were not impressed, but hey...what do you expect if you get something you can make at home in five minutes. First time here and was recommended by my physical therapy place. Since I don't live in the area I always like to try new places in this area. I ordered Lox and a poached egg on a small bagel benedict. It has cream cheese, red onion, tomato, capers, and hollandaise sauce. Grits changes daily. The one in the picture has chorizo, and green chilli. Very good they should have it daily or have a few choices. Apparently, they change the flavor of the grits daily. My boyfriend ordered the French toast and added candy walnuts which cost .99¢ extra which was ok. It was a good choice addition. They give you syrup which is warm in a bottle. Another great addition. The ham looked and tasted dry, so I wouldn't recommend that item to order as a side dish. The staff is very nice and attentive. They were not very busy maybe 15 tables of customers. The reason for 4 stars and not 5. My poached eggs came out with the whites runny, which was raw. The manager told me they are poached soft. I told her I wanted the yolk runny, but the whites cooked. Which the whites should always be cooked with any eggs Benedict. She told me next time to order them poached medium. Hmmm. Ok. They remade the dish and the yolk was poached hard. At that point I would rather have a cooked egg than have it be raw. A restaurant should know how to cook a poached egg that is serving eggs. Inconsistent takeout service. My family loves eating at wild eggs, it was actually our go to for breakfast since moving from Hawaii to Indiana. The price is affordable and customer service is always outstanding. I recommend dining in. Due to the lack of the inconsistency of ordering takeout. I've ordered pancakes and specifically ask for extra butter, just to home to find out there was no butter at all in the bag. Just tried this place for the first time and I enjoyed it. I met my friend for brunch but we didn't indulge in the normal boozy brunch. Even though they had $2 mimosas we just weren't feeling drinking, but everyone else in there was. I got the wild berry crepes and they were good! I also got the fried potatoes and they were okay but not my favorite kind of potatoes. My friend got the breakfast nachos and they were massive and she said very delicious. The cinnamon rolls are the main reason to have breakfast here. They have to be made fresh. they come out hot and gooey in a skillet right to the table. One if big enough to share, but I could eat an entire one myself. They have a wide variety of food choices and I have a few favorites so we always share the cinnamon roll to leave room for the actual breakfast. The Huevos Rancheros and breakfast burrito are my favorite entrees. I also like the Yellow Submarine when I feel more like lunch. I'm way overdue for writing a review of Wild Eggs since my husband and I eat here almost weekly. Of the three Indy locations, this one is my favorite. The staff is nice and attentive, service is quick, and the food is consistently great. Being able to get on the waitlist through the Yelp app ahead of time is convenient and a must on weekends when the waits can be long. We usually get on the waitlist as we head out the door and have very little wait time when we reach the restaurant. Thanks, Yelp! I'm not sure you can go wrong on the menu. My husband has ordered many items and liked them all. The one thing we felt was a miss was when he ordered crepes one time. They tasted great, but the size of the meal seemed much smaller compared to what you get with all of the meals that come with side items. My tried and true is the "Wild Western" omelet. I absolutely love it. I have always been a "western" or "Denver" omelet orderer, and Wild Egg keeps me from ordering them much anymore because their "wild" one that subs out the green pepper for fresh jalapeños and serranos is top notch for someone who loves spicy food. I also really love their pancakes, which they let you sub for a muffin for $0.99. I do ask them to not powder sugar it however. They go heavy with the stuff despite the picture of pancakes on the wall not having any. We are pretty much regulars at this location, with many staff members recognizing us, saying hi, and some remembering our orders and bringing out drinks right away.
