Topic: Wild Flour Bread Date: 4/18/26 Quality: 10/10 Value: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Timeliness: 8/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Total: 45/50 Came by for an early morning breakfast at 8:30am, 15ish people in line but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. We planned to try everything once we got home, but the fougasse smelled too good and we caved and tried some in the car! Absolutely amazing... Best bakery we have ever tried! Fougasse (Mushroom): 10/10 Myer Lemon Mango Scone: 9.75/10 Maple Bluberry Pecan Scone: 8.25/10 Peanut Butter Cookie: 9.75/10

The fact I haven't written a review yet shocks me. I've been coming here since the early days of cash only and the left side of the current set up was where you walked in and ordered and oh that play cash register- core memories. The gouda flat is my go to. The scones are delicious. The sticky bun is huge and a must. Everything is just so fresh and yummy which is what keeps me coming back. Everyone is so nice. I recommend having your order ready before getting up to the counter- keeps things moving along smoothly. Grab your tea/coffee and bread of choice and head out to the gardens. So peaceful and beautiful gardens.

Wild Flour Bread is a national treasure. Truly. Anyone giving this place less than five stars either needs a wellness check or a raise to properly support this habit. Once you snag a parking spot, you'll find a line- but it moves. One tip: if you're a visual learner like me, it's tough not being able to see every item up close. Take a photo of the menu before you get in line so you can game-plan and ask questions when it's your turn at the counter. They take card or cash (and don't forget to tip- these folks are doing important work). On my last visit, I confidently asked for the sourdough "wonder," only to be told that all their breads are made with sourdough starter. By girl math, that makes everything here health food. You truly can't go wrong, but let me advocate aggressively for the cheese breads. I think they're better than pizza. The fougasse is not to be missed, beautifully chewy with crisp edges- and it freezes surprisingly well if you have the restraint. Potato, garlic, rosemary, Swiss, Jack, cheddar: Basically an elevated grilled cheese in bread form. Shiitake mushroom, caramelized onion, Swiss, Jack, gouda: Deep, savory, and rich, though the mushroom definitely takes center stage. Gouda flat (goat cheese, aged gouda, onion, herbs): Also incredible. Don't make me choose. I throw all of these in the toaster to get them extra melty. For hearth breads, I've tried the Wonder and the Olive (mixed Greek olives, nigella seeds, topped with za'atar). Both outstanding. I haven't fully explored the sweet side yet (most of those items were sold out), but I did branch out with a Meyer lemon berry scone. Flavor was lovely, though it leaned a bit on the drier side. My long-term goal? Eat my way through the entire menu. I wish Wild Flour were closer to home, but maybe the distance is what keeps it special. Some places are worth the drive, the line, and the carbs. This is one of them. And check out Bohemian Flowers farm stand next store too.

Just do it. Go...wait in the line...don't complain about the parking...you'll be fine. Plan for it. WONDER: our go-to! crusty bottom! :::enjoying a toasted slice as I type this review:::: Pumpkin: tried for the first time, not sure I'd get again as it's VERY dense and did not have as many additions of cranberry or walnut Sticky Bun: Cinnamony, messy goodness.

Amazing bread!!!! Grabbed a couple Meyer lemon mango scones!!! A hot chocolate. A small coffee and some loaves of bread. There is absolutely nothing wrong with just biting into a loaf of wheat bread and fougasse bread in the parking lot. Plain and simple the best!!! A couple of porta pottys and a hand washing station also available. Great stop!!

The best sourdough I've ever had! Very dimensional taste and aroma. Their garden is also very lovely. I enjoyed everything about this place.

Fougasse - Shitake mushroom, carmelized onion, swiss, jack, smoked gouda

We went here on a recent trip. We have been going here since 1999, when they had the kids plastic register. There were times within the last coupled years I felt that it wasn't as good. This time however it was very good and it feels like old times when we were super excited to go there. Service is super fast and organized since covid. The line forms outside and winds around but it moves very quickly. They have an herb garden which they use in their baked goods. Their baked goods are amazing. We went in the morning around 10:30 and everything was warm and yummy. We had the following: Fougasse - shitake mushroom, carmelized onion, swiss, jack, smoked gouda - 9/10 - this was so good warm and the cheese gooey Scone - jalapeno, cheddar - 7/10 - nice jalapeno flavor Scone - blueberry, raspberry, and cream cheese - 7.5/10 - the more I ate this the more I enjoyed it Scone (gluten free) - pear, ginger, almond - 9/10 - I loved this. the flavors were very nice Scone (gluten free) - artichoke, red onion, feta - 9/10 - nice and savory, Wild flour really has the gluten free scones down. The scones are light and delicious. I am so glad to have visited this bakery and we might make a special trip up there just for the baked goods.

The line wasn't too bad when we went at 11 and they still had everything available. My sister really liked the bread but I thought it was just a little dense. The flavors were really good though. We also got a couple of scones. I would just make sure to check your order before you take off because even after they asked to confirm what scones we ordered they still gave us the wrong once which was fixed since we were still there.

On a roadtrip from Napa to the coast (Bodega bay) stoped here for the bread, scones, sticky buns, cookies and more. A bakery in the countryside near the dairy lands of Sonoma County, the sticky buns were huge and delicious, everything was so fresh, absolutely fantastic place!! Love

Will be back! Their olive bread was SOOO good! I also got the garlic rosemary and hazelnut chocolate chip cookie. Both of those were, ok. The cookie was a little more cakey and crumbly than a normal cookie. I appreciate that they have vegan options! Next time I'll try the scone. I was there a weekday and there was only one person in front of us. Loved the garden! Even in February it's nice. Beautiful kales, lemon trees full. Hopefully next time I come back it will be in spring or summer! I bet it's gorgeous. Get the olive bread :)

Cute little bakery on a cute little rustic road. Cute little garden on premises. Very delicious baked good offering; thankfully it wasn't too busy when we arrived. Wildflour: The eponymous bread. A really rustic sourdough. Great with butter or as an avocado toast. Fougasse: Loved all the cheese and onion baked into this crusty loaf. The mushrooms though had a really weird squishy moist texture that I wasn't feeling in my bread. Sticky Bun: Probably the best thing I had here! It's like all the greatness of the inner rings of a cinnamon roll, but in a large loaf format. If you have a sweet tooth, this is for you! Bohemian: A tad fruitier than the sticky bun, but still quite sticky. Probably my second favorite, great for your sweet cravings. Jalapeño Cheddar Scone: The least impressive item I tried. It kinda tasted like dry corn bread. The cheddar and jalapeño weren't that dominant. Meyer Lemon & Blueberry Scone: Much more scone-like. A nice refreshing pop of lemon and blueberry.

GF savory herbs and cheese and choc strawberry (this one was drier and crumbly)

Best scone in my life was here. Blueberry apricot ricotta. Worth the short 15-20 min from Bodega Bay or Sebastopol! I stay in Bodega Bay to avoid the fireworks in the East Bay. A lot of the food is catered to visitors. But this amazing little bakery is such a breath of fresh air. Yes it is not cheap but neither is running a bakery and in this economy I am happy to support them. I've paid $7-8 for laminated pastries that are so mediocre in San Francisco and while these aren't laminated pastries so the comparison isn't the same, I still feel like it's worth it. The long lines go by fairly quickly especially because the line is filled with locals and visitors and everyone is friendly and open to conversation. During our few days out at BB we went twice it was so good and can't wait to try them again one day in the future when they have their wood fire ovens again. Scones (even GF ones were tender and so good), Gouda flat, fougasse, Egyptian, and more we liked them all. Having dogs we couldn't enjoy the garden but found grass to hang out on to the left of the garden. So happy we came here and can't wait to go back!

got here later in the day, unfortunately they were basically out of sweet scones. jalapeno cheddar scone is fragrant and gigantic - enough for 3 people. would try to get here in the morning next time!

Underproofed Wild Flour Sourdough round. $10.99. Dense. Tough. Not edible.

    Is the bread organic?

They advertise themselves as "Wild Flour Organic Bakery and Gardens" I've found that an "organic" designation doesn't really mean much. I would ask the owner where they source and how they handle their products...IMO they have over the many years… Read more

    Is it cash only?

Do they have a sit down dine in?

Does Wild Flour trade for Meyer lemons year round?

As of 9/10/21, there is a small sign that says they no longer take fruit for their scones in exchange for bakery credit.

There are tall ceilings and a good number of tables/seats indoor and some smaller tables outside. On a Saturday late morning while we were there, we did notice that there was pretty constantly a line. However, it is pretty fast moving and took us about 10 minutes to get through ourselves. You'll start by seeing some merchandise and online orders before getting to the baked goods, drinks/cakes, and the cashier. The staff was super friendly and helpful in answering our questions and offering suggestions. Once you order, you get a number if you're eating in and can grab cutlery, water cups/water, and look for a seat. There is also a good restroom that was clean. We sat on one of the bigger tables/benches and our order came in about 7 minutes. Here's what we ordered: +Veggie quiche: One of the best items we had. Loved the flaky pie crust and how big it was. The quiche was delicious and came with a small side salad. +Ham and cheese croissant: A good croissant. Loved the everything bagel-like seasoning on top. I think this being warmed up would go the extra mile. +/-Ricotta and jam toast: The toast was good here. But the ricotta/jam were a little bland. Would have benefitted from a little more of a bold flavor to help give it a distinctive taste. -Iced matcha latte: We also ordered the iced matcha latte. They didn't have almond milk so opted for oat milk. Unfortunately this was the weakest item we had personally. The oat milk was a bit too strong and combined with the matcha used, it left with a bit of a strange aftertaste. Parking wasn't too hard as it was in a pretty big parking lot. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and would come back!
