This is not your typical grocery store as they are cater towards adventurous eaters. Since one of their selling point is all the exotic meat selects here. This also means the price for the grocery here are a bit higher. But never-less it is cool to see a grocery store where you need beef liver or escargots. You can find them here. Guys, what the heck? Never heard of wild fork until a yelp event and I may be addicted!! We got the A5 Waygu for my husband's birthday and made sushi at home with it. Damn! Is all I can say. We cut them into small pieces and seared it with a torch and placed it on sushi rice.. (nigiri, duh)... and put some salt on it. What?? The best thing on heaven, truly. I am debating about getting it again for my birthday which is around the corner because that's how delish it is. Fiance gets butcherbox and i wanted to bring him here so he could compare it price wise and see the selection. He ended up buying 3 different things. Mea checked us out and was super nice and helpful. There was another young gentleman today there but i didn't catch his name(update- DAESHAWN was the guy). But he was super helpful too, we asked if he had any suggestions on how to cook/marinade/season venison and he took the time to explain how long/temp/oven vs stove cooking and also suggested a blueberry marinade. Really wish I had caught his name! I'll have to update this review whenever we go back if we happen to see him again. I highly recommend you check out this super cute all flash frozen grocery store. I ordered meats online from Wildfork long before they had this location. Wild Fork has a great selection of game meats as well as standard cut of chicken, beef and pork. They also sell seafood, prepared sides, fruits, and vegetables, and desserts. I prefer the non-marinated items as I've noticed sometimes the marinated meats are too salty. This location has great parking and the staff is super helpful. They will pack your food on dry ice if you have a long commute. They also deliver locally. You should definitely check this place out. read more

Been getting my meats here! The only downside is that the store is basically a gigantic freezer! All the meats are frozen but found them to be better quality than the local grocery store and paying about the same price. The service is good and the cashiers are helpful giving food prep advice. If you're looking for a specific cut of meat for a recipe at home, I'm sure Wild Fork has it. They have a massive selection of beef, pork, chicken, seafood and MANY exotics. (Alligator, deer, elk, boar, emu, kangaroo, etc.) All the meat they sell is frozen, which is how they have such an extensive selection. If you're an "I only buy fresh" type customer it's important to remember that a significant portion of meat sold at butcher shops is likely to have been frozen at some point during processing and then thawed for display in the butcher case. Not everything and not always, but I'm just saying don't use that as the only reason not to give them a try. I was very impressed with their customer service. Employees greet you upon arrival, ask what you're looking for, and then walk you through their available selection. We were looking for quail and the employee helping us even checked the back and was able to find the number of boxes we needed along with answering a bunch of side questions we had. They also offer a delivery service that I haven't tried out yet but the employees were telling us that the majority of their business comes from that side, so they must be doing something right. I prefer picking the meat by hand, but will probably use delivery for ground meat and other generic cuts. Overall, we had a great experience on our first visit and I look forward to using them again. read more

Found this great new market from Yelp that opened recently in the Memorial area. Came early for their Grand Opening and found their customer service to be exemplary from Matthew who walked me around the market .He took time to tell me which meats were the best for a Philly cheesesteak that we planned to make later that day. Waited for my Yelpie to join me for the event and within 30 min. The market went from 3 to 100 customers. We met Ricardo from Key Biscayne Miami area corporate who spent a good amount of time with us to explain which cuts of meat were the best for what. We ended up buying items for smoothies, short rib meat, and frozen arrancini for later. They have a wide selection of entrees and even had some smoked salmon flavored with gin & tonic. Definitely worth a visit for their friendly, helpful service and items that would be helpful for your next backyard party . It's were I come to get my fancy pork, Duroc, Berkshire, etc. Well stocked. Of course it's all frozen but that's fine as you get the best meats at any time. If you're not familiar with the Wild Fork market, they sell only frozen items. It's mostly meat, poultry, seafood, alongside some frozen vegetables, ready-to-eat meals, and desserts. I prefer to buy fresh and freeze myself so there isn't a tremendous amount of appeal for me here. The biggest draw is that they sell some exotic meats. Saw alligator, elk, and boar, among a few others that I'm forgetting. You can also buy a whole pig here, if that's what you're looking for. I was a bit disappointed in their sausage selection. I didn't want to buy ground elk or alligator filets because I have no idea how to cook that. I was honestly hoping to find some exotic meat sausage but the selection was very plain. We picked up a few food items to try. The truffle bratwurst was very tasty but the best thing we bought were the $5 macarons. Hard to believe but they were great right out of the freezer and didn't need thawing at all. The most disappointing purchase was the shrimp/scallop skewers. The scallops were small and the shrimp was a bit fishy plus had some dark discoloration which was unpleasant. Prices seemed pretty reasonable. Staff was friendly. Easy parking in the lot. read more

This is the spot in Houston to buy frozen meats. I can vouch for the baby back ribs, ribeye steaks, squid and organic seasonings. If you're only a fan of fresh and despise anything frozen, then this is not the place to you. However, their prices might change your mind. I picked up two amazing slabs of ribs for around $16. I am a BBQ guy, and heard about Wild Fork on YouTube. I drove 30 minutes and bought a 12lb Prime brisket for an event I was having at my home. It sat in the freezer for a couple of months. When I finally defrosted it, I could see that the flat was only about 1/2". Uh-oh. Had no other choice. Put it on the pit and took it off 10 hours later. The entire flat was bone dry. We didn't even eat it. I felt like I would've been better off just buying it from HEB. I guess my point is that because everything is frozen, you can't really get a good look at what you're buying. Nice people there, and tons of selection. Just hard to judge what you're buying. read more

Wow, I am shocked at the positive reviews of this butcher. I was short on time for a party and so decided to give it a try by having the steaks ordered for delivery. The process to order and the delivery were perfect. The product itself was absolutely the worst steak I have ever seen. With that being said, the wagyu New York strip was normal and we'll see how it tastes. The T-bone had almost no fillet on it at all. See attached picture who sells a steak like that. And the cowboy I wish I would've taken a picture of it before I cute it, but it was just a 4 pound cube of meat. Why/how would you grill a steak like that? I would never order from here again.. spent about 200$ , had to run out and go to central market to replace. Also, when you call them, there is no answer because it's some chain.
