I should have read the recent reviews first. I will say the portion sizes were was the best thing about the food. Everything was super bland. No flavor at all. It tasted completely Americanized. Where were the Asian flavors? I ordered house special Singapore noodles extra spicy. There was NO SPICE. The honey back ribs were the best part of my meal. Pork Gyoza, fried rice, pad thai, bok choy all lacked any flavor. I am not a fan of soy sauce but everything we ate needed it. I spent $134 for a family of 5 and the price was not a problem. But put the love back in the food. It was so bland. Service was good, friendly and prompt. I am not sure if I would order again. read more

Good service, everyone we interacted with was very kind. It did take a while for food to come out but the place was busy so I understand. Ambiance was ok. There were a couple of dead flies on the wall next to our booth, so not the most appetizing thing to look at, but it happens. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp and they made it gluten free for me with the sauce. It was good but a little greasy. I think it would have been more flavorful with the normal sauce, but that's no fault to them, it's part of the GF life haha. I also got the avocado rolls which were very tasty. Yep my family continues to use them for take out because of their sushi choices. I got to heir won ton soup even though I do not like the Boc Choi that they put in the soup that the say on the menu is Seaweed Won Ton. I also don't mind the spring rolls with hot sauce even though I prefer egg rolls that they do not offer. I tried Chicken and Shrimp in a Honey Walnut sauce with brown rice. I order the same food from this restaurant for years and the last two times the food has been cold when delivered. Today, the Thai red curry chicken barely had chicken in it (more tofu) and I had written "spicy" on this online order and I got "not spicy" and bland even though the menu lists this entree as spicy. As you know, there are few good, dine-in Chinese restaurants around here. Lots of take out, but I long for the days of House of Lee and South Seas. If you know, you know. The decor is pleasant and it's fairly quiet. Wild Ginger's bar with the TV I can do without, but where it shines is its food and service. The General Tso is light and all white meat. A nice surprise: green beans in the stir fry. Usually all you get is broccoli. That's ok, but green beans are a nice change. Their Gyoza have a light wrapper and nicely crisp, not one side cooked and the other raw. The little things but it shows someone cares. Mango stir fry is another standout. You can choose your proteins with different sauces or flavor combinations. I don't get their sushi; that happens elsewhere. Stick to their Chinese and have not been disappointed. I also don't get sick from it later. I can't say that about other places. In addition, there are restaurants in our area that were very rude, or made mistakes and still wanted to charge me. They will remain nameless. Even though the food was good, I will not eat there due to their affect. Not once but twice, there was attitude and unwarranted pretense. Honestly this restaurant has gone downhill so much. It used to be excellent, and consistently so at that. Lately, food has been arriving late, orders cold, and extremely inconsistent. One day it will be good and the next day not only will the quality have gone down but the recipe will be different. Almost like they have multiple new chefs. Bronxville is a nice area with meter parking. This restaurant is nice and has seating on the inside. I ordered a lunch special to go for my gf and I and we LOVED it. At one time Wild Ginger was my go to place. However, in the last 6 months the quality of the food has been a disappointment. In August the vegetables weren't fresh. I don't enjoy being served yellow broccoli or old yellow string beans. The portion size was disappointing. The price didn't equal the portion size. We waited several months to return. This past weekend we decided to give Wild Ginger another try. The dishes were NOT hot, green beans were yellow and tasted old. The restaurant wasn't busy. Whether you pay $25.00 for a dish or less you expect the food to be fresh and served hot. Tired of being told the kitchen had a bad night or was very busy. Too many excuses!! This Wild Ginger Has Been Tamed Japanese, Sushi, in a bar. My only beef is the ambiance. It feels like a bad bar. Where there should be tables is a bar with tvs blaring prank shows from trutv at dinner time on a monday. On a packed block this place was empty. We chose high top tables near the front, which was surrounded by nearly taken care of plants and also Scallions it looked like they were growing for the kitchen in a dirty soup container. Look if you're going to regrow all the veggies after cutting them, then I should pay less. I'm all for farming but if the kitchen is trying to save a buck, don't display it for the customers. The front was a little dirty and spiders kept catapulting down to check us out. They have basic level sushi dishes done mediocre well. I got the 3 roll dinner, $17 with a miso, and we shared the bbq ribs and another "fancy" roll. Good enough for sushi if you already like it. Not good enough to impress a date. Never had experienced such bad customer service ever! The waiter and brought over a miso soup and put it right next to my child, where he immediately grabbed the bowl and spilled. They came to clean it up and took it away- and when i asked for a new soup they said i had to pay for another one because the baby dropped it! Both of our meals today were uneditable. The Sushi did not look or taste fresh and went right into the garbage. I don't like to leave negative reviews, especially because the service was good. We got takeout: two house salads and two rolls for $27. They were kind and quick and I was pumped for some sushi and happy with the price. The salads were pretty yummy! Super ripe mango slices were a welcome addition. My friend took a bite of his tuna avocado and immediately spat it out. I thought he was being dramatic. But he wasn't it did actually smell terrible. It smelled like the tuna was on its last legs which is really not something you want when it comes to raw fish. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm still kinda queasy thinking about it the next day. The main girl who service me is always great but a few days ago (11/09/23) there was a different lady serving me and let me tell you I would not want her serving me ever again. I ordered a pyramid dessert which is suppose to be a cake dessert. She brings it to me and it's frozen as hell and has ice crystals on it. I refused to eat it and told her to take it off my bill and she's going to try and gaslight me talking about that it's a frozen dessert. Ma'am please go f yourself. It's the audacity for me. I love the chicken pad thai here! It's mildly spicy and full of flavor. The chicken is tender, and they used onions instead of the usual bean sprouts. The peanut garnish was finely ground and the staff were very welcoming and had everything ready when I arrived for pick up. Can't wait to try some of the other things on their menu! read more
