Went here for a graduation dinner. We started with the lychee martini which was strong and on the sweet side. The Thai spring rolls were delicious, and for 4 dollars can't go wrong. My family enjoyed the coconut shrimp (I don't eat seafood so didn't try). For an entree I got the beef lo Mein and it was tasty. The soy sauce flavor was a bit much but I enjoyed it. My mom had the wild ginger chicken and that was the show stopper. It was SO delicious. I ended up eating half of her entree. It's a solid spot, not the fanciest if that's what you're looking for but definitely had some good food. read more

Wild Ginger in RVC a restaurant on the corner of Sunrise Highway. Entering the man was friendly. Sitting by the sushi bar the place was very noisy. I ordered pan fried dumplings which were just ok. The water given in a glass was not purified and I ordered a bottle of water. I then ordered a meal to take out. I had seen on line a picture of Honey Walnut shrimp and chicken. I asked the waiter for scrimp only and showed him the picture as I did so. (See pix) what I got was good ; with a few pieces of honey candies nuts , but nothing like the picture I'd seen. The white noodle things in the container seemed like plastic filler and I didn't eat them. Near the entrance is a fish tank with a grumpy fish , catfish and a few other colorful ones. The restaurant has a bar and is nicely decorated. The staff was observant and appeared to work hard. If I was in the area I would stop by again. read more

Wild Ginger may seem like a regular restaurant from the outside, but it's an extraordinary experience to dine there. They have an expansive menu ranging from Thai to Chinese and Japanese cuisine and all served in great quantities and at a very fair price point. The service is so fast and extremely friendly! Even though we came within an hour of closing, our waiter kindly let us know but still was patient and not at all rushing us. We ordered shrimp pad thai, general tso chicken, 2 sushi rolls (and it was my boyfriend's first time trying sushi and he loved it here), which was also a memorable moment, and we had more than enough pad thai and chicken to take home and eat for lunch the next day! When in doubt, Wild Ginger to the rescue. Always a fav of my mother and I. Walk ins are always available. They are doing a good job with social distancing them tables. Even though they are always full, the wait is never very long. Food is prepared in a reasonable amount of time. My moms favorite is the Pan-pan Noodles with Chicken and Shrimp. I usually try something new each time. I tried the mild mango sauce with scallops. Although it has a spicy sign next to it, it's NOT spicy. The name should've told me that tbh. It wasn't my favorite. Very sweet. But the mangoes were good. Scallops were large and plentiful. But a little chewy. Order hot oil on the side or just ask to make it spicy. 4 stars because the server messed up my mom and aunts order. He may have been new and confused with inputting the order. We'll be back though. I appreciate your professionalism and the way you responded it's very difficult in today's day and age when you and I both know people read these reviews and take them to heart I personally live my life eating outdoors and I know this establishment has changed hands a few times, but I've always loved the staff here and the food was always Paramount I'm sure there are off days and depending on what chef is working that day, but I will give you three stars until my next dining experience at your establishment. I don't want anything for free. I just want the food that I pay for and that should always be fresh. I never order lunch specials I always order from the menu. I wish you the best of luck. My friend had the calamari hand roll and the spicy tuna roll. The calamari was good but had a lot of rice and not much calamari. The spicy tuna was very tasty. I had the shrimp dumplings which was great I also had the wok grilled garlic shrimp which was surprisingly really really good and I will be ordering soon. Visit Date: March 12, 2022 I came here with two girlfriends for dinner before we went out to two music shows. I had the sesame tofu with white rice, green tea and we shared an appetizer of scallion pancakes. The sesame tofu was delicious. I was gluten free for awhile so I haven't had sesame anything for so long and I loved it. The scallion pancakes were also very good. The atmosphere here is very elegant. Our dinner was served fairly quickly and our meal was over pretty quickly. Sometimes depending on circumstance I appreciate a faster dinner but I was hoping we could all linger because we had time to kill before the first music show we were going to. Excellent hot and sour soup! So flavorful. And the chicken with string beans and black bean sauce is awesome too. This is the second Wild Ginger I've gotten take out on Long Island-- the other is in Great Neck-- and they are both great. My favorite is the black bean sauce here. read more

I went to Wild Ginger tonight for a going away dinner party. I've been before with friends years ago. I'm not a huge fan of dining here due to the food selection. Nothing personal just not my thing. However the family style apps including California rolls, dumplings and vegetable spring rolls were delicious. There was also a selection of soups to choose from. I had wonton soup that was good as well. The main entree General Tso Chicken did not do it for me , bland in taste , but many enjoyed there meal. Wildly disappointed with Wild Ginger. You are OVER CHARGING for your entrees, taking advantage of the pandemic to DOUBLE your prices. What has now happened is you have made your portions so small that we were still hungry after finishing. You still have three stars because your food is good, but if this trend continues, you're on the way to one star and then we will order no more. Fix this! Shame on you! I received a response from the owner. His response was generic at best. So I'm going to respond right here. We understand that you had to make price change based upon what happened during the pandemic. But here is where we differ. 1) you doubled your prices. I am in business too and that response is uncalled for. 2) you made your portions drastically smaller even after the doubled price. When you order a meal and you were still hungry at the end of that meal, something is wrong. Your response to my concerns now makes me say I will probably not order again. The restaurant is very beautiful, the staff is generally friendly , but you do get the servers that kinda forget half the stuff and don't come back 10% of the time. The food is delicious, but as with the service it's not super consistent. Most days it is incredible, then 10% of the time it's just the complete opposite and is very off flavor wise. Still worth it as the Gyoza, and Rok Shrimp tempura are phenomenal 90% of the time. The pork lo mien is fantastic. Very fun place to be though, great bar, great seating! read more

Went to Wild Ginger for the first time last night with my BFF. We've been planning to try this place for years and now we're sorry we didn't do it sooner. The place is spacious and our server Thomas was excellent. He answered our questions and made recommendations. We started with the tempura shrimp and the spicy tuna gyoza apps. Followed with Crispy duck and Curry Thai seafood. Everything was fresh, served hot and delicious. I had to add more heat to my Thai curry but that is my preference. I was going to give 4 stars but just changed to 5 stars because I don't have any complaints. It isn't fine dining but exactly what it should be at this price point. Give it a try. Unfortunately, I was met with more than a few issues. Firstly and mainly, I can't believe I was charged a dollar for Chile and plum sauce, which I kept trying to ask and clarify with the hostess if it (plum sauce) was already in the bag, she said no (and when I got home I saw it was). It's not the dollar I'm upset about it's witnessing her boldly take the dollar and put it in her tip cup! So rude and deceptive. My intention was to tip her $5 but when I saw that happen, I was so turned off and thought why lie about the sauce cost just to put a dollar in your pocket?! This made me wonder how many other people this has been or it gets done to. Then, I get home and the ribs I ordered have to be days old because they were extra dark, dry and tough (see pics). read more

WARNING!! Well...I gave in an placed an order for take out after a few years. NEVER AGAIN. The ribs I ordered WERE NOT FRESH. What's worse is they attempted to cover the dark spots on the meat with the honey sauce. It was clearly deliberate because only certain areas had the sauce on it, as opposed to covering the entire rib in sauce. Anyone who's cooked or has eaten pork before, knows the meat isn't brown or spotty, but they tried to pass it off anyway. And with the high prices they charge, they ought to be ashamed of themselves, but they're not. If I didn't live across town, I would have returned the food, but I didn't bother. Also, because I was annoyed and I didn't feel like arguing with anyone if they didn't agree to return my money. (Lucky for them, I've changed my ways...) I also wouldn't trust the food if they provided a replacement as an option. So, I just took pictures to share with the public about their bad food/business practices. We came to Wild Ginger for the first time. We started with the Dim Sum (4 types of dumplings), vietnamese summer roll & miso soup. The miso soup was delicious, it was hot with lots of tofu and seaweed, yummy. The vietnamese spring roll was good but the mango could have been riper... the slightly spicy chili sauce was delish. The dim sum had 4 kinds of dumplings ( 2 of each kind) .....3 were meat and 1 was vegetable. These were so good and served with spicy chili sauce, hoisin sauce and thickish dumpling sauce. For the main entree we had the Thai Red Curry Chicken with white rice which was beyond delicious. We also had the Szechuan Peppercorn Chicken with white rice that was scrumptiously delicious. Now for the service, let me just say I'm sort of critical when it comes to waiters/waitresses being attentive with their tables. BUT the hostess, waitress & waiters in this restaurant were very kind, helpful and extremely attentive. We've never had a waiter coming over to refill our water glasses as fast as these waiters, (it sort of felt like they were watching us, lol) The appetizers came out really fast which was great because we were starving. We couldn't decide on the entrees until we're half way through the appetizers.......but this restaurant is really fast and in less than 7 minutes (yes I timed it) our entrees were on the table I highly recommend this restaurant and rarely give 5 stars but this wonderful restaurant definitely deserves the 5 stars read more

I was warned by a couple when I walked in that the service was horrendous, but I was hungry and couldn't be bothered. I wish I listened. The food was so bland. It tasted like microwaved food that didn't even match the description. The alcoholic drinks were strong so it helped me stay calm. The plate that they had on the table for us to eat appetizers were sticky and had some droplets of some kind of oil. I'll never come here again. I suggest you run if you see this place. Can I add that it's expensive too... You would think when the manager heard that we didn't eat hardly anything on the plate he would visit our table. The restaurant is on a busy strip and parking can be difficult at times however It was a Sunday afternoon, and I quickly found one in front of the location. As we entered, being greeted and seated immediately was a huge plus. The table was clean, and the waitress was very friendly! There was a Prix fixe menu which cost about $15 which is a good pick. It included a Soup or Salad as well an Appetizer, Entree and a Glass of Wine or Soda. I have never got a deal like that EVER! The menu was pretty basic as you would get from local Asian cuisine. I ordered red curry chicken, and my girlfriend ordered chicken and broccoli. The food was ok nothing crazy however for $15 I didn't mind it. The flavor, however,​ was pretty bland and had very little taste. I am surprised a dessert didn't come with it, but I guess I would be asking for too much for that price! The entrees are large portions and very filling. The bill for two people came out to about $35 with tax.
