This place is top notch for vegan food. My favorite in the area. They also serve meat so when we go with our group (half of whom are vegan) there is something for everyone. Their tofu scramble is delicious in their Sunday brunch and they always have really good vegan desserts (so good that I am kind of glad I don't live closer - I would be in big trouble). Love this place for fresh and light meals! The restaurant is decorated with a modern farmhouse style which I absolutely love. The menu isn't overwhelming and has great options for wraps, salads, entrees, acai bowls and drinks. The kale crazy salad is great - it's so refreshing and fresh tasting. The hippie chick wrap is also good - it's filling yet light. The only thing I haven't like to far was the argentine salad as the pickled vegetables it came with were a bit nauseating and left a taste of puke in my mouth. The juice and smoothies are also very good! Service is decent - it does take a while to get a waiter to take your order and to get refills, so they should definitely hire more staff on weekends. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Stopped in for coffee but a large display case of gluten free and vegan confectionery wonders and a foodie forward menu persuaded us to give their breakfast a taste. Wasn't disappointed. Enjoyed a dirty chai latte, tomato gouda quiche, avacodo toast and gluten free cheddar biscuits with guava butter. This place hit all flavors and textures - there wasn't a bad bite! My favorite dish was the avacodo toast - the brightness of the tomato with the complexity of the balsamic - I could eat that dish every day and be happy. The gluten free cheddar biscuits were gloriously cheesy but add in a smear of that guava butter and my taste buds were singing. This place really makes the most of its space and has about the tastiest and most diverse gluten free and vegan options out of any place I've been to. We grabbed some deserts to go, but given the fact they were sold out of quite a few items before noon on a Monday must mean the kitchen knows what it's doing in that department as well. Can see this place being desetvingly crowded on the weekends but it would be so worth the wait and visit! We'll be back! Before our trip to Ormond Beach I had searched for restaurants that fit our vegetarian needs and found this. We went in for lunch. Our hopes were realized with food that met our standards and then some. My wife had a BBQ tempeh banh mi. It was quite tasty and met the definition without the meat. I had a Cuban bowl with carrots, black beans, avocado, mango salsa, plantains, and guava dressing. I will confess that this was not something I generally order, but it is something that we don't make at home, so why not? Glad that I did, the plantains and guava made this, and with Crystal hot sauce this became a complete ensemble for me. So...the next day we planned on going to the Ormond Beach Farmer's Market, and in doing so we decided to stop back at WRB and try their breakfast. This was again an excellent experience. My wife ordered the Golden Coconut Quinoa Bowl, this would not be my desire for breakfast, but it was actually quite tasty and for us, comforting food. I chose the Protein Scramble, you get choices with that and mine were kale, mozzarella, mushrooms, tomatoes, and tofu. A very lovely start to our day. The service both days was superior. We were treated well. Suffice it to say that this restaurant is a place for anyone who happens to be in Ormond Beach to add as a stop. We wish this was in our neighborhood. read more

Visited the Wild Rabbit twice in the past week with omnivore and vegetarian out of town guests! Once we came in for lunch and once for breakfast. Overall I am glad to support a restaurant with a vegan predominant menu, since I myself eat vegan. Food was presented nicely and the menu had a wide variety of choices. Some menu items were better than others and of course we only tried a handful of the options. Waffles are fantastic! Service was friendly, however our server seemed stressed on both visits, which did reflect on our overall experience (Had the same server both times) Also had some minor mistakes on our order... My real complaint goes to the establishment itself. It is so frustrating that a mostly vegan restaurant would still charge the "vegan tax" on menu items. Like upcharging for plant milk for coffee drinks but whole milk no extra charge! The coffee drinks aren't terribly large and to be charged extra is so disappointing. It certainly doesn't encourage people to try plant milks when there is an upcharge on an already somewhat pricey drink. I am personally tired of paying extra because I am vegan, especially at a vegan restaurant. I will be back and I will stick to black coffee!!! read more

Let me start by saying I will give this place another try. We may have just ordered the wrong things for us. There were other things we were interested in trying. I will NOT be trying their sweet tea again...yuck! It was bitter, weak and definitely needed more sweetener. Bland and bitter and left a bad aftertaste. The apple, lentil, cauliflower soup was the best thing I ate from here today. We all liked the soup. My man ordered a vegan burger. It was tiny for a big price. It was cooked to very dry and the burger had no vegan mayo or dressing to help him choke it down. It came with a tiny dab of BBQ sauce and he hates BBQ. I ended up using the sauce to flavor my cardboard tasting pesto tofu wrap. After adding the BBQ sauce, it was palatable. There were a few chunks of tofu along as I ate the wrap, but when I got to the bottom of the wrap, the tofu was all piled up in a soggy very spicy blob that probably would've made the entire wrap taste better had it been more evenly distributed. My son wanted the avocado toast. I expected at least 2 pieces of toast but what came was only one piece of bread smothered in 3 big soggy over ripe tomato slices, topped with a few slices of browning avocado. Some kind of brown sauce lightly drizzled over that. No butter. It was like no avocado toast I've ever encountered and my son did not like it. He also didn't drink the nasty tea, opting instead for the mineral-tasting tap water they set in front of us. So I highly suggest getting bottled water or a bottled soda, if they offer them. And just don't try what we had, they might have something worth eating, but this meal wasn't it. Cost over $55 for 3 people to have a barely edible lunch. I have eaten worse though, so... I'll go back for the soup and grill cheese though. I mean c'mon, how badly can you fuck up a grill cheese?? read more

Cute little place. We ordered the turkey sandwich. It was very good. It came with kettle chips, a pickle, lettuce and tomato on the side. We had the peach tea and an apple pie cookie. The peach tea was extremely tart with lime, and we could not drink it even after stirring in sweetener. The cookie was somewhat tasty but not for the cost and there was no apple detected. The cookie did have marshmallow cream between two cookies. If we had just had the sandwich, this review would have had a higher rating. It was the extras that cost a lot more money and were not worth it at all. read more

Great local café with vegan options but includes meat dishes, healthy and nicely inclusive of all diners. I lucked into a window seat. I chose the $11 sweet potato & quinoa burger with wine caramelized onion on an artisan roll with rutabaga slaw, dill pickle and beet catsup. It was not a REAL long wait, but so worth it. The flavors were well balanced, layered and unique-- and the meal was filling. I enjoyed a carrot-beet-ginger-turmeric raw juice drink ($5.50) that was also well-balanced and refreshing. Couldn't pass up their vegan oatmeal cranberry cookie ($2) for dessert. I understand the tastes and blends are due to an owner with a biology background. Kudos to her palate and scientific knowledge. We were so excited to have found this gem that we went 2xs during our 3 day trip in Ormond! Support local businesses-- especially this one! It has a beautiful atmosphere and its menu is inclusive for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Customer service is amazing and they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and satisfied with your meal. The first day we both had the Ultimate Quesadillas with Blackened tofu (Vegan), which were full of so much flavor!! It was hearty and filling but at the same time left us feeling light and satisfied. We also had their Oreo Cake (Vegan), and it was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday! It was sweet and moist. The next day we came back for lunch and both had the Caribbean wrap with blackened tofu (Vegan) with a side of hummus and a sweet potato spud basket-- which was an item on their dinner menu but we ordered it. Everything was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. We finished off our second day with some smoothies, but the wild rabbit (left) and the monkey business (right) again light and refreshing and bursting with flavor. I've been coming to Ormond Beach for years and I'm so glad hip little places like Wild Rabbit Bistro are finally starting to open it. It used to be just old crappy looking diners and run down beach side restaurants. The Wild Rabbit Bistro is definitely the cool spot to be. The food was fresh and there were tons of healthy options. The service was great as well. The place is small so It was a little loud inside for me but it was fine. The inside is decorated super cute with an obvious rabbit theme. Even the guava butter for my sweet potatoe biscuit was rabbit shaped. I got the classic omelette and thought it was pretty darn good. The bacon on it was . I also got a latte with oat milk that was delicious. My mom got the Caprese Omelette and it was super yummy. I actually liked that better than mine. We also ordered the turmeric latte and matcha latte and both were yummmmmy. Lastly, we ordered an orange turmeric muffin (because why not) and that was also delicious. So this place is an obvious 5 stars! read more

When we first moved to Florida, one of my first missions was to find a restaurant like this, and we did! Recommended by a server in a different restaurant we were at, we gave it a shot and quickly realized we'd become regulars. Excellent vegan/gluten free options. The food is fresh and the service is excellent. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend you try their Buddah Bowl with either Samon or Tofu, the salmon sandwich, any of thei acai bowls, the kale salad and avocado toast. I have a gluten allergy and the waitress (Kristin) double checked every ingredient I asked about (bacon -safe and granola - not cerfified gf). Very nice little cafe. We stopped in for a coffee and ended up ordering a sangria and a broccoli white cheddar with chicken soup and I must say everything was very delicious! The sangia that night was an Apple cranberry which was ONLY $5! Wow you really can't beat that price and for the amount they give very good portion size. As for the soup I will definitely go back everyday if I could. The flavor was so good it had us wanting more but the soups change on a daily basis. I'm pretty sure I would enjoy any soup they have. The atmosphere was very nice and cozy and the the woman who assisted us was very welcoming and helpful. We don't live in the area which is sad because I would definitely go on a daily basis but I will travel an hour again just for the amazing hospitality and delicious food and drinks! read more

I mean look at the photos they filled the box with veggies and chicken the soup was chunky and delicious. I wish I had a picture of the quesadilla it was huge and packed with veggies and hummus absolutely perfect! My kid had a grilled cheese and a soup and grilled cheese tasted way off. Soup was good but needed seasoning. Service is very slow!!! Chai late is very strange tasting..
