My review is not based on their food. It's based on their wait policy. We came and put our name in the list and showed up 40 mins later as told. We then got offered a seat at the bar and told it would be another 20 mins if we wanted a table. I believe they should of been forthcoming from the beginning. This gets them a bad review on my end. He said "wait", then he left(he walked back and forth in the restaurant take other people's order but us. We waited another 15 minutes for the sencond server come to help us. This is just a simplified version, the entire experience was terrible. The portion of papaya salad is Ridiculous, not even a size of a small aptizer. It was a bit for $9. It was our first visit to this restaurant so we asked for some suggestions, but the server/owner's answer was that everything was good and kept telling us that he would just come back when we had decided. We asked for the manager, and her excuse was that he was her father and owner and that it was "an Asian thing" and that he was short with everyone. I will begin with stating that Wild Rose is a Fantastic Restaurant, I have had many wonderful meals there. I will still continue to refer any carnivores I know to eat there but for my fellow vegans, I fear that sometimes you hear stories about things being found in the food and unfortunately I fell prey to that. I ordered vegan Gang Om, the menu clearly states what dishes may be veganized and this is listed as one of them. I took part of it home with me and when I opened my container I found a shrimp tail swimming in it...now there was no shrimp pieces in the soup, but just the tail? That kind of grossed me out. What happened to the rest of his body? How did the scraps from someone else's meal make it into my dish? Anyways, if you are a carnivore....Don't miss it!! Paid our bill then asked to leave to make way for a party to be seated in our area. We were the ONLY 2 people in the restaurant asked to leave. How unprofessional. The manager was too chicken shit to ask himself so he sent over a random waiter to do his dirty work. It would have been more appropriate to send the eaitress who served me and I tipped heavily if they wanted to throw me out. What a terrible experience we had! It started out rocky...we got sat at a table that looks like a kids table and is low to the ground. Took forever to get service and when we did the waitress didn't even say hi and was in a rush. We got another waitress who was more pleasant to take our order. Food came and it wasn't very good. Super bland and disappointing...our entire table was disappointed. And to top off the entire visit we only saw our waitress 1 time. We had to track her down to get a check and when we told her how terrible our experience was she was so rude. She actually told us that we should've said something sooner, but how could we do that when she never came back. She was so annoyed by our feedback and expressed it verbally to us. Fourth time eating at Wild Rose. We've had lunch twice and last night was our second dinner. We are a family of three- 2 adults and a 7 year old. The service at lunch, particularly in the bar is great. The service in the evening is good if you like a bunch of plates crowded onto your table in a rushed manner without regard for anything but putting plates down. I get it, it's busy and fast paced so we tolerate. We shared three dishes last night, a wide noodle dish, a glass noodle dish and rice dish with sausage. I've been ill since.... and whatever I ate wasn't intended to be in my dish I am sure. I will visit a medical professional today, thinking antibiotics. My wife just doesn't feel great, stomach cramps and rumbling stomach all night. Our son, I hope dogged a bullet here but he's still asleep. We won't be back. read more

Just like other reviews in here, food is great, service is the worst I have ever experienced at any restaurant ever. Clearly these people don't know Bend's motto, "Be nice, you're in Bend." I have been here at least a dozen times and food is great. But the food isn't so good as to be treated the way they treat people and after my last experience there, I won't be back. It was the week after Christmas and they were very busy. We had friends visiting for the first time and we wanted to take them here. Went in on a Sunday, they don't take reservations and it was an hour wait so we came back on Monday. They said it would be 40 min so we went to the bar to have some drinks. After being ignored by the bartender for 15 minutes (no greeting, no menus) she finally acknowledged us, and we grabbed some seats at the bar. 20 minutes later, the host asked us to give up our seats at the bar so people could sit and eat. Never had that happen, but ok, we accommodated. Right before we have them up, I asked the rude bartender for another drink and she said NO!!!!???!?! She said she was too busy making drinks for the tables and was obnoxious about it. WTF!!!! Hire another bartender if you are that busy. Wait, it gets worse. So after 50 minutes, standing amongst tables cause there is no where to go inside, clearly we couldn't sit at bar and it was freezing outside, my friends began to wonder why it was taking so much longer than they said. The hostess heard them and basically called them liars, arguing that it hadn't been that long and if they wanted to be taken off the waitlist, they would be happy to do it. Again, WTF??!!! These people do not care in any way about customer service. I mean, truly nasty. I've been to Thailand, they are so welcoming and gracious, was never treated this way. I was outraged that I brought my guests to such a horrible environment. They food isn't that good. We eventually get a table and cause we had been there so long, I had written down our order. The waiter came over and saw my list, asked what we wanted like we were bothering them. Oh and told us the kitchen closes in 20 minutes. My husband made a little joke and this jerk rolls his eyes and walks away. We eventually ate. When we left, I went up to the ride waiter, figuring they were all stressed cause they were so busy and I used to work in restaurants (though working fine dining in NYC, u would be fired if you did even one of these things). I said thank you and he just turned away. Needless to say, I won't be back. I'd rather eat Taco Bell than to pay these jerks to be abusive. read more

Always very impressed with this place.. it's probably one of my favorite in Bend right now because it's so reasonably priced and it so good! I took my family there for my birthday last year and they became instant fans. We also took a friend there last year who lives in Thailand and he really loved it. He actually spoke with the waiter in Thai and ordered a dish not on the menu that only someone from Thailand would know how to make well. When he got the dish he was very impressed and said it's exactly how he would have eaten it at home. This year we went again for my birthday, but this time with coworkers, and they loved it so much they had it again the same week. The only issue I have is my stomach gets a little sick when I have their Thai Sausage (which is so unique btw) but I think that's a personal issue as no one else who's eaten it seems to have that problem :) read more
