As most decent sushi place pay close attention to their rice temperature, this place gives you rice straight out of the fridge. I have had my fair share of sushi, from kura to 300pp omakases, and I can confidently say this rice is extremely subpar. Undeserving of price and your appetite. As for fish, not sure because only had one piece and the rest returned untouched. Another thing is when I asked about the rice, lady simply said that's what they serve to everybody. They took my plates to the chef and came back saying chef said that's how the rice is done. No comment. I was disappointed. I'd heard good things about this restaurant. Let's start with the service. The servers were pleasant, friendly and efficient. The seaweed salad was good and a good value. We ordered 2 rolls ($19 each) and vegetable tempura. Rather than the fried crust being light and fluffy, the tempura was more like a McDonalds deep- fried version of tempura. The surface was dark (probably old oil) and clung like McNugget to the vegetable. We ordered the wrong rolls. Rather than light and fresh, they both had been fried or rolled in fried batter, and we now know the fried food here is not good. Other than the seaweed salad, we did not finish any of the three other things we ordered. The people seem nice and I always wish the best for small business. However, we will not go back.
