Sushi quality was really good and the price reflect it! The salmon & Ikura bowl was good however, for $45, you would think they would give you a little more Ikura. The scallop carpaccio was phenomenal! The nigiri were really good grade sushi and flavor, however, be ready to pay a heavty price. Good place for date night, girls night, or family night. We got there around 5pm when it was not so packed but it got busy quick, even for a Thursday night. They have a wide variety of alcohol drinks. Service was good. Private parking lot, next to the outlets.

This ain't on the menu, but it's an expression of how talented these chefs are.

This is, without a doubt, the best sushi place in central Oregon. It may be the best in the state. It's in a bit of a strip mall, but the staff is almost all Japanese... the service is impeccable, and the food is remarkable. We asked the chef (via translator) to make us something special, and he blew our minds. You literally cannot order wrong at this place... everything is next level.

Ryoshi is one of two new(ish) Japanese places in town, the other being Yokocho Izakaya, which I haven't tried yet. It joins quite a few fine sushi places already established here in Bend. Based on social media, Ryoshi seems to have been favorably received by local foodies. - Very nice ambiance with comfortable seating. Ryoshi certainly has fitted the space out much better than previous tenants (Wild Oregon Foods, for example). This is a restaurant where you can have a pleasant dinner chatting with friends. - Service is efficient, polite, friendly. Our food arrived very soon after ordering. - Food: Sushi cuts are very good. We had salmon, tuna, mackerel and two off the specials board. I won't get into whether the fish is 'fresh' (an overused term on Yelp) - they all seemed fine to me. Hamachi roll was also quite fine, not too much sauce or seasoning, rice was cooked properly. Edamame appetizer was perfectly done. - Drinks: plenty of choices including cocktails, sake and a few beers. Plus NA drinks. If you're here to drink and eat izakaya-style, you probably won't be disappointed. Didn't notice any wine. - Prices are probably what you expect these days. All in all, a good addition to Bend's dining scene. The only minor negative was the grill portion of the menu - already maybe not the most expansive of the izakayas I've been to - had numerous selections blacked out (unavailable). Still, plenty of good choices were offered there and in other menu sections, including quite a few fish 'specials' on the board near the sushi bar.

Not as modern as advertised online or in the Savor magazine, but good presentation and portion sizes. Hamachi kama was gifted to us on the house. Just watch out for the bones when you tear into it :) highly reccommend. Very friendly.

Ordered one of the lunch specials. High quality fish, great sushi, nice atmosphere. Servers were attentive, kind, and friendly.

Loved the fish here! The sushi tasted fresh and the menu has a great selection of Japanese food like sukiyaki, yakitori, nigiri and even sushi rolls. My partner and I shared the Kaisen Bowl that was topped with a fresh salmon, tuna, uni, and salmon ikura! The karaage was juicy, crispy, and flavorful. Creamy scallop handroll was one of my favorites - can't wait to try out the other handrolls. The ambience is casual and elevated (at least to me.) I liked how they play modern j music cause it added to the vibes. Really looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu!

We got to try out RYOSHI SUSHI ISAKAYA on Friday night. Food was delicious, and drinks were good. Staff was very attentive, even though they were quite busy. Can't wait to try again. We ordered the garlic edamame, rainbow rolls, and the sunset roll. Everything was perfect.

Food was seriously bad each item had its problems. Service was ok I guess as they were busy but just seemed like they didn't care at all after our food was served. We actually had 2 apps but forgot to take a pic of the vegetable tempura that was soggy soaked in grease. Rolls were just bad period in all areas

Between the exceptionally good food at Hook and Plow, a most pleasant hotel experience, and a memorable trip to the High Desert Museum; our trip to Bend turned out to be a pleasure instead of the miserableness I expected. We had the Steak Tartare, the Chef's Board, the Blackend Crabcake, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Bone-in Pork Chop. We each got the cheesecake for desert and split the other dishes. This was more than enough for the three of us and we left full, happy, and with three large to-go boxes. The flavors of the various dishes were amazing. While all the dishes were vvery good, the standouts to me were the steak Tartare, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Cheesecake.

We were greeted by the host and seated quickly. We started our meal with a delicious non-alcoholic drink and the Chef's Board: a charcuterie with an assortment of cured meats, rustic bread, and various spreads. That came out pretty quickly. Unfortunately, our main courses came out much, much later and lukewarm. Luckily, the food was good enough that it made up for the temperature. I had the NY strip steak. The steak and the Boursin mashed potatoes alone were very good. The pickled onions and chimichurri complemented the meat very well. The meal was supposed to include brussel sprouts but came with a grilled broccoli cauliflower assortment instead. My wife had the Scallop Risotto which was also a great recommendation from the server. In reality, The Hook & Plow deserved 3 1/2 stars but that's not an option on Yelp. It may have been an off night for the staff, so I will give them the benefit of doubt. We would be open to trying it again sometime in the future.

At least that's what they imply with all this larger than life architecture. I had a few drinks at the bar, testing various cocktails while we waited for a seat. Then my family and I were seated by a 16 year old somewhere dark and moody with riverside views. Kinda romantic if you were on a date. The Gen Alpha waiter didn't understand humor unfortunately and probably thought we were all unc. For some reason the menu seemed to lack variety and I felt forced to pick finger food instead of gluten and or giant meaty dishes that cost 50+ ...I can't ever finish those anyways. The Hawaiian nachos were not nachos, but some poke on little tostada things with some crema on top. Kinda underwhelming for 15 dollars. They were nice but more of a sharing dish, too much fishy flavor and lack of variety for one. I wonder why the menu is so boxed in and uninspired, like can we get a bit of creativity outside of appetizers? For a place with such a powerful presence, I expected more.

My family loves to come to Anthonys for special occasions and we've always had top notch experiences until this visit. My family came here recently for my elderly father's special birthday. Our group got seated on time, but that's where the promptness ended. It took a very long time for someone to check in with us and take our drink order, no biggie as we all like each other and don't mind spending the time. Drinks came, except for my sisters wine, that came 25 minutes later. It took another very long time to get our order taken. And you guessed it, a very long time to get the food. I will add that the resto was only about 1/3 full on this particular evening, so not busy at all (this was not a Friday or Saturday night). So something was amiss for sure. 2/3 of our group ordered salads to enjoy before the main course. Only they didn't come out first. After much time, all the food came out at once (2 hours after getting seated at our reservation time). What's the point of an appetizer when it comes out with the dinner? We all had our food, except for the birthday boy. By the time dad's food came out (at least 15 minutes later), everyone else's food was cold. Errrrr. When questioning what was happening everyone was again very nice, but the answers were pretty corporate (I can sniff this stuff out pretty well). The Anthony's staff is SO nice, but there's definitely an execution/timing problem at this restaurant, at least lately. I understand that a 6 top isn't going to be a speedy execution, but this was different and we definitely weren't anticipating a 3 hour dinner - no exaggeration. They comped us desserts and 1 entree which was very kind, but I really hope Anthony's gets the service together so that we can feel good about coming back here again.

I have reviewed in the past but now upgrading my review to reflect this fresh direction, well my opinion, and no Brushwood Country Club vibes here. Seems professionally casual in a Bend kind of way, after ski, after golf, fun place but not crazy loud. Location: Perfect on the boarder of the Deschutes National Forest with GC and mountain vistas that are stunning all the time but especially as the sun goes down. Great parking, Build Out: Very nice, professional looking, and quiet enough for a romantic evening. Seating is well spaced. For the Sports Bar kind of thing, next door The Row is fun. Menu: Excellent Farm to Fork options with staff that knows what they are serving, menu attached. Food Prep: Well done, everything seemed perfect in its place on purpose. Food/Cook Quality: Enjoyed a 8oz filet which was truly cooked as good as it gets MR with a great sear. Some beefy competition in town but here great options but not overwhelming options. We also enjoyed the Pork Chop which was excellent. Portions: There was a lot of food, too much for us as we indulged in two appetizers, mushroom toast and Ahi Tartare, two mains, and to sides each, yea my bad. Ahi is a must. Waitstaff: From Sam the at the door greeting and seating us to our waiter, everyone was positive and well informed on the menu items and gave great recommendations. Libations: We enjoyed a cocktail then a bottle of wine with our dinner and martini was well done and wine was reasonable in price. Better than most in Bend.
