Terrific dinner savored here on a return trip. Always look forward to a visit at Ryoshi. Now they have scan QR and order dining at the table from your cell phone. Makes everything efficient and convenient for all. You are able to make any comments for substitutions or eliminations on a dish. I did that on about half of what I ordered, and everything came as requested. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's definitely getting to be a popular place to dine, even outside normal meal hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Worth the wait, and hope to see them again soon!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The servers were great and the overall atmosphere was very chill and the decorations were beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was very good, some of the best crispy rice I've had in a while! And I've never had a hot pot meal before so this was a great first time! The only thing I'd say that made me take one star off is although the service was nice, getting the food took a bit of time. Also the drinks were lackluster. Maybe the drink wasn't my cup of tea, but I'd be willing to give other drinks a t

Sushi quality was really good and the price reflect it! The salmon & Ikura bowl was good however, for $45, you would think they would give you a little more Ikura. The scallop carpaccio was phenomenal! The nigiri were really good grade sushi and flavor, however, be ready to pay a heavty price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good place for date night, girls night, or family night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got there around 5pm when it was not so packed but it got busy quick, even for a Thursday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a wide variety of alcohol drinks. Service was good. Private parking lot, next to the outlets.

Ryoshi is one of two new(ish) Japanese places in town, the other being Yokocho Izakaya, which I haven't tried yet. It joins quite a few fine sushi places already established here in Bend. Based on social media, Ryoshi seems to have been favorably received by local foodies. - [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice ambiance with comfortable seating. Ryoshi certainly has fitted the space out much better than previous tenants (Wild Oregon Foods, for example). This is a restaurant where you can have a pleasant dinner chatting with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - Service is efficient, polite, friendly. Our food arrived very soon after ordering. - Food: Sushi cuts are very good. We had salmon, tuna, mackerel and two off the specials board. I won't get into whether the fish is 'fresh' (an overused term on Yelp) - they all seemed fine to me. Hamachi roll was also quite fine, not too much sauce or seasoning, rice was cooked properly. Edamame appetizer was perfectly done. - Drinks: plenty of choices including cocktails, sake and a few beers. Plus NA drinks. If you're here to drink and eat izakaya-style, you probably won't be disappointed. Didn't notice any wine. - Prices are probably what you expect these days. All in all, a good addition to Bend's dining scene. The only minor negative was the grill portion of the menu - already maybe not the most expansive of the izakayas I've been to - had numerous selections blacked out (unavailable). Still, plenty of good choices were offered there and in other menu sections, including quite a few fish 'specials' on the board near the sushi bar.

This ain't on the menu, but it's an expression of how talented these chefs are.

This is, without a doubt, the best sushi place in central Oregon. It may be the best in the state. It's in a bit of a strip mall, but the staff is almost all Japanese... the service is impeccable, and the food is remarkable. We asked the chef (via translator) to make us something special, and he blew our minds. You literally cannot order wrong at this place... everything is next level.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Not as modern as advertised online or in the Savor magazine, but good presentation and portion sizes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hamachi kama was gifted to us on the house. Just watch out for the bones when you tear into it :) highly reccommend. Very friendly.

Loved the fish here! The sushi tasted fresh and the menu has a great selection of Japanese food like sukiyaki, yakitori, nigiri and even sushi rolls. My partner and I shared the Kaisen Bowl that was topped with a fresh salmon, tuna, uni, and salmon ikura! The karaage was juicy, crispy, and flavorful. Creamy scallop handroll was one of my favorites - can't wait to try out the other handrolls. The ambience is casual and elevated (at least to me.) I liked how they play modern j music cause it added to the vibes. Really looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu!

West Coast, includes vodka, pineapple, and coconut.

Between the exceptionally good food at Hook and Plow, a most pleasant hotel experience, and a memorable trip to the High Desert Museum; our trip to Bend turned out to be a pleasure instead of the miserableness I expected. We had the Steak Tartare, the Chef's Board, the Blackend Crabcake, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Bone-in Pork Chop. We each got the cheesecake for desert and split the other dishes. This was more than enough for the three of us and we left full, happy, and with three large to-go boxes. The flavors of the various dishes were amazing. While all the dishes were vvery good, the standouts to me were the steak Tartare, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Cheesecake.

Service was lovely - warm, friendly and attentive. Shout out to Logan for being great with my daughter as well. I ordered the lunch combo special and highly recommend - you can 2 items off a list of 5-6 for $18. I had the tempura battered fish tacos (2) and a cup of seafood chowder. Tacos were well portioned but still handheld and well seasoned. Chowder was delicious and the croutons were perfectly crunchy and buttery. My daughter had the kids fish and chips and the portion was excellent - fish to batter ratio was great and she loved the fries. The restaurant is clean, airy and well decorated. My daughter loved the cow print wallpaper in the restroom too. Highly recommend if you are in town, lovely meal.

Outstanding, excellent, creative, exceptional are all descriptions of my meals. I love the ambience and service too!! Josh, Nathaniel, And Jason were all helpful for our menu selections, gave us taste of wine to select the best one, and were attentive to every aspect of our dining experience. I can't wait to go back. I'm already dreaming of the zucchini appetizer, the beet salad, the caesar, the filet and seafood platter(lobster too), the scampi and linguine and the best prepared steelhead with vegie ragu. Amazing!! Amazing!! I never mind spending for dinner when it's first class all the way!! Thank you Brickhouse. See you in September.

The food was decent but not as good as the price point reflects. I ordered the steak pasta which had good cuts of meat but was overall underwhelming. If you're going to spend $35 at a minimum, the food should blow you away. The ambiance is my main complaint and I honestly have no idea how to fix this but I could not hear my partner from across the table. The restaurant was so loud that we spent most of our meal either not talking, or asking what the other had said after trying to talk. Brickhouse I really want to like eating in your restaurant, but I just cannot see a reason to dine there when there are 5 other restaurants that have similar pricing for a significantly better overall experience.

I have reviewed in the past but now upgrading my review to reflect this fresh direction, well my opinion, and no Brushwood Country Club vibes here. Seems professionally casual in a Bend kind of way, after ski, after golf, fun place but not crazy loud. Location: Perfect on the boarder of the Deschutes National Forest with GC and mountain vistas that are stunning all the time but especially as the sun goes down. Great parking, Build Out: Very nice, professional looking, and quiet enough for a romantic evening. Seating is well spaced. For the Sports Bar kind of thing, next door The Row is fun. Menu: Excellent Farm to Fork options with staff that knows what they are serving, menu attached. Food Prep: Well done, everything seemed perfect in its place on purpose. Food/Cook Quality: Enjoyed a 8oz filet which was truly cooked as good as it gets MR with a great sear. Some beefy competition in town but here great options but not overwhelming options. We also enjoyed the Pork Chop which was excellent. Portions: There was a lot of food, too much for us as we indulged in two appetizers, mushroom toast and Ahi Tartare, two mains, and to sides each, yea my bad. Ahi is a must. Waitstaff: From Sam the at the door greeting and seating us to our waiter, everyone was positive and well informed on the menu items and gave great recommendations. Libations: We enjoyed a cocktail then a bottle of wine with our dinner and martini was well done and wine was reasonable in price. Better than most in Bend. Overall Value: On par with Bend's best but better location and history connected to this property. It is not inexpensive but it is not overpriced, we will continue to support and enjoy.
