Spontaneous trip to Williams on a holiday weekend and room prices in the area were a little ridiculous and then we remembered that we'd stayed at Drover Inn theme rooms inside of DJ's Wild West Junction and loved the guest rooms. We called and they had availability and the price was extremely reasonable so we booked. Last time, I rated Wild West Junction just three stars based mostly on the saloon and food on that previous visit but now I'm really just talking about the room experience. I really love staying the night here. The rooms are comfortable, fun and so well priced. I would say they're kind of basic and the TV service sometimes gives you trouble and there is no coffee in the room but it's SO not basic. The decor in the rooms is absolutely amazing and fun. We were in the Movie room and really enjoyed the old west movie feel. The bed is comfortable, the room/bathroom clean and well taken care of. I have absolutely zero complaints. read more

Tourists beware. Looks can be deceiving. We stopped at Wild West Junction during our family trip to the Grand Canyon. From the outside, it looked like the perfect spot -- fun Western theme, charming decor -- but from the moment we walked in, things felt off. No greeting, no welcome, just blank stares. We had to ask if they were open, and were told to grab our own menus and seat ourselves. Once we sat outside, the cold energy continued. People nearby kept staring at us like we didn't belong. We were just a family with kids, trying to have a good time -- but we felt judged the entire time. Our server was the only bright spot -- she was polite -- but the food didn't help. My wife's burger was undercooked even though she asked for well done. The mac and cheese was ridiculously salty. Ribs were dry and needed hot sauce to be edible. The fries and tots were the only decent part of the meal. We paid nearly $70 for a disappointing experience and food we barely ate. I still tipped $7 because I'm not going to stoop to the level of how we were made to feel... but honestly, I wish I could get my money back. This place depends on tourism, yet made us feel completely unwelcome. We won't be back. Save your money and go somewhere that actually appreciates your business. read more

We passed a local who recommended this place. As soon as we walked in we noticed at least two customers in the bar area with dogs. My husband is allergic and has asthma, so we chose to sit in the back dining area. Our server was great; she was super busy but friendly and checked on us a few times. My pulled pork sandwich was good. Didn't care for the seasoning on the fries. Others in our family said their food was just ok. My son could not eat the mac and cheese with brisket. It was served lukewarm and the cheese was like a processed (Cheese Whiz or Velveeta) product. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a small-town saloon (which I actually like), it just didn't hit the spot for us. read more

One of the locals who kept emphasizing that it was "his" bar was so obnoxious (and loaded) that I left. I will come back to Williams, but NEVER this place. Tourists beware. Fun little old fashioned place to stop and stretch your legs. The Saloon has a good variety of food and friendly staff. 1. Get a cup of chili...it's delicious. Not spicy. The whole family likes it and we all have different tastes 2. I got the loaded baked potato without meat and it was delicious and filling. 3. Hubs got some Mac and cheese with brisket and he really enjoyed that. The brisket was a great flavor and not overly Smokey. 4. Daughter got medium rare New York strip and it was the steak she has been craving for a couple weeks. Highly recommend this place. read more

Visited 2/19/2022 Gave this place a try because it was my lady's birthday and she wanted Prime Rib. Sadly Rods Steak House was closed and this was the only place serving Prime Rib on a Saturday Night. Unfortunately the cook way way way Over-salted everything. Won't be trying The Prime Rib Again. Now for the good. The Fried Shrimp although a bit overpriced was 5 Full Stars and among the Best we have ever had. The MixedDrinks also, Jack & Coke we're done very well. 4 Stars. The real mashed potatoes and the Country Gravy were excellent. Wish I could give this place a better rating but not this round. We will visit again for Appetizers and Cocktails and maybe a Burger A did only give 2 Stars because of the disappointing Prime Rib Dinner. Perhaps the steaks might be better. I'm really not sure if my review is for Wild West Junction or the Long Horn Saloon. The full menu was being served out of the saloon, so here it goes. The place was packed and loud because the D-backs were playing game 3. We had to select our own seats and then compete for attention at the bar to get menus. The bartender was trying to do it all - host, bartend, bar back, and be a waiter. She also seemed to enjoy socializing as a bartender the most. The experience felt a little odd. It took a bit of time to get our drink order. The local hazy IPA is really good. The chicken sandwich was excellent, and the calamity Jane was well made, but it could have been toasted a bit more as the bread was a little soft by the end. Overall, it's a decent place that caters to tourists and out-of-town visitors, but it seems best suited for locals. This is good for a bar but maybe not so good for a restaurant. read more

The food is not good, do not recommend. Most of us ordered baked potatoes and they were not fully cooked, We were the only ones in the restaurant which was not a good sign probably. One of us got pulled pork and there was a large piece of grizzle in it, so gross. The service was fine so I feel bad leaving a bad review but feel like I should help others choose a better place. Look in the dictionary under dive. There is Wild West Junction. Giant cat occupying a barstool, bar is closed for seating. The cat is exempt. Friendly bartender, strong drinks. Stayed in the Movie Room. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower was also fine. TV channels were Average. Don't expect any amenities. Had to get ice from the bar. For the Drover's Inn: Do not go. Made reservations with pet. Host failed to write down pet (for the fee.) It became my problem when she repeatedly called me and wanted my credit card info to charge me the pet fee after we had left. No fridge or microwave, poor heating, and run down. The room was no better than a motel 6 in Wyoming. The level of effort put in to collect the $25 you all failed to get due to your own incompetence screams of greed. Upon walking in me and my girlfriend were immediately greeted with an awkward setting. It is very unclear what to do when entering, no where indicating where to order/sit, and no one to greet you and help you. I had the prime rib sandwich and my girlfriend the fried cod. My sandwich was actually very good, 8/10. The cod on the other hand, was was lackluster, 4.5/10, the onion rings carried. Went to this place for dinner after a long road trip. The restaurant was closed but a sign said we could order at the bar. The bar had loud music playing but we decided to stay to have burgers and fries and a beer. The waitress was extremely rude and lacked any sort of manners and kindness. I wasn't sure if this review should go under The Longhorn Saloon or The Branding Iron restaurant, so I put it here, under Wild West Junction, which I think encompasses both of them? In any case, this is for-sure a "must visit" place in Williams for my husband and I! We had been here once before, about 2 years ago, and ate outside while watching an awesome live band. We had a fantastic time, and although I don't remember what I ate, I remember liking it. This time we ended up going two nights in a row. Many places in Williams were temporarily closed and after our great experience the first night, we were happy to go back the second! The first night we sat outside, and we both had the special, the "Oink Burger." Oh wow, I had no idea what I was getting into- a burger topped with pulled pork topped with bacon. Probably one of the unhealthiest things I've ever eaten but it was absolutely delicious! I have no regrets. The fries that came with it were really good too- perfectly crispy and seasoned. I had a couple Jack & Cokes too, which were perfect- strong but tasty, and a very good price, especially since it was larger than I expected. The second night we ate inside, and split their special- this time it was 1/2 lb of baby back ribs with BBQ sauce, and 1 lb of dry-rubbed baby backs. Holy crap, they were incredible! Both were very tender and meaty. The BBQ sauce was delicious and of the sweet & smoky variety (with just a touch of heat). I'm not usually a huge dry-rub fan but these were perfectly seasoned and not salty at all. We also had the fried green beans, which were nice and crispy- even the beans themselves were al dente and flavorful, which makes me think they must use fresh green beans. On top of all this, everyone we've met there has been kind and welcoming. We met the owner who was super-nice, the chef (who said they had smoked the ribs for 14 hours- wow!), and spent quite a while chatting with the bartender and a couple locals. We even met the resident stray cat. Everyone was so friendly and easy to talk to- even moreso than many of the places we frequent where we live (and even after finding out we're from Southern California, lol). Sad to leave a review after a few good trips to Williams and the branding iron, I plan large ride for groups of motorcycle riders and have made multiple trip a year to Williams Arizona with our groups, this trip we did our normal days ride to Williams and stayed at the normal hotel America's best across the street from from wild west junction, Once checked in we always start at the long horn for a drink and dinner at the branding iron "wild west junction" this time the experience was horrible and iron wasn't anything the serving staff did but rather the manager John, First he treated his own team member very poorly before turning on the customer's due to a mix up on the order, After receiving our food a couple of the steaks were ice cold still so they were sent back with no question of a refund we were just gonna move on when the so called manager John came back out and just lost his mind over the whole situation, His behavior was poor at best and we all felt sorry for all the team members that have to work in those conditions, Our groups will be looking for other places to enjoy next month when we return, hopefully the owners can figure things out and get the staff a manager that will lead by example and treat the customers and staff like humans, read more

Came in for an early dinner, we were recommended this spot by a local. She said this was where all the locals go. No one was in the restaurant. Food was decent, the service was bad. She didn't ask us what we wanted for drinks when we sat down...and did not really care to check on us in general. The only person that was attentive to us was the gal that brought out our food. We had some trouble on our visit. We scheduled a group of 16 in advance. When we arrived we got seated pretty quick, the atmosphere was great and the live music was good. Great atmosphere! Unfortunately it took an hour to get our orders placed, we got drinks and waited. Once we placed the order it took 40 minutes to get our food! When it came some of it was room temp and was sent back. I spoke to the manager, she did a good job of making it up by slighlty discounting our meals and we got a free drink from the bar. The only room open was the saloon. A sign at the entrance read, "see bartender for menus and to order." My bf got the menus. I went to the bar to place our order. The bartender told me to "sit down" she'd "come over." She spent the next 10 minutes bs'ing with a bunch of her friends. She was incredibly rude and standoffish. Never cracked a smile. Worst service (or lack of it) I've ever had. Leaving one star as no stars is not an option. Go to the Historic Brewing Company. Great pulled pork sandwich. read more

Since new ownership, this is my favorite place to eat in Williams. Last night didn't disappoint! If these aren't the best beef ribs I ever ate, I don't remember what are! Absolutely delicious and lots of them. I got the half-order and still took some home. They were out of baked potatoes, but it was past 8 on a Friday night, so that's to be expected. Fries worked great. The chef was good about dicing up the plate for my special needs son. Service was on the ball, and the owner paid a visit. We really enjoyed dinner last night! read more

Went here for dinner and was told after ordering it would be a 40 minute wait. We went back after 50 minutes and then they told us it would be ANOTHER 35 min wait. Once we got our food our mash potatoes were cold. The portions of food were good and the waitress and bar keeps were friendly. Ordering food was very disorganized and the entertainment was good. Would've rated this place higher but the wait was TERRIBLE and when we asked what happened and why other tables that order after us got their food first, they had no answers. So I ordered a New York Cut and received something that was an about 3/8" thick piece of trash, probably a flank or skirt steak - uneatable, but still they charged $23. There is no waiter service - you have to order inside. And since I lost my glasses I trusted the girl at the counter to enter an appropriate tip for me - she added 23%. The town is a tourist trap of the worst kind, but this place tops it all. read more
