I googled "wings near me" after getting off of work on a friday night and Wild Wing popped up. I thought it was A Buffalo Wild Wing franchise at first until I visited the website to see the menu. When I walked in, it was welcoming. The hosts reluctantly greeted me and I headed to the bar area...this is when I realized it was a smoking bar. Lately I haven't been feeling well whenever I visit a smokefilled bar but I was hungry. I sat down, the bar was half full, good mix of people. I was acknowledged by one of the 3 bartenders and she greeted me, asked if I wanted a drink blah blah standard protocol. I asked the bartender if this was a normal Friday night volume and she said it was slower Friday because of the holiday weekend. I could imagine how packed it would be on a non holiday weekend. I ordered the Boss wings and this is where an average wing spot went below average. The wings came out black, and dry. I can understand if it was spiced heavily and thrown on an open fire and charred to a crisp. I've had that before and it's delicious, but this was black and bone dry. Here's my theory: Friday's are usually busy, wings fly out the kitchen every 30 seconds, to stay ahead the cooks precook wings in all 33 flavors to stay ahead and don't fall behind and on this slower Friday they expected it to be busy, precooked everything and stored it under the heating lamp for up to an hour. When I took my first bite I spit it out, couldn't find the bartender, but I was hungry so I ate ab oooout 7 of them. She asked me how it was and I said it was ok...I lied. I bet the wings are good, I'll probably give it another try on a busy night of a normal night. If I do I'd get it to go because the smoke killed me. read more

Flash back to 1995...walked in and was hit with the smell of smoke. I didn't even realize there was still businesses that allowed smoking inside anymore. I ordered their boneless wings and nachos. The chicken on the Nachos was cubed, not breaded, and plain. The boneless wings were so soggy the breading fell off and was almost not worth eating. I've been to a wild wing in Statesboro, pooler, and Savannah and all 3 were significantly better than this location. read more

As a beer drinking, cigar smoker this place gets my vote, as a vegetarian not so much, but then again, the name is Wild Wing Cafe, not Wonderful Watercress Cafe. This is a good local watering hole, not a dive bar, but give it fifteen years or so. The crowd is a hodgepodge of suburbanites, made up of Alpharetta locals, nearby hotel guests, and the after work white and blue collar types, all getting along for the most part. Ages range from fake ID to AARP members. Bar is smoky, I always leave smelling of smoke, but then again i was the one smoking that annoying cigar. Servers are attentive, beer is cold, live music. I have been to many wing restaurants...and, while Wild Wing is a chain, that gives it some consistency! Wifey and I like our wings (but, of course, cannot have them while on our healthy kick)...and Wild Wing consistently delivers. We like many of the flavors...as opposed to go HOT, HOT, HOT. We like the Ranch and Big Boss combination. But, we have tried many of the others and really liked them. This particular Wild Wing has good food and good service. Never a real disappointment and have probably been here 5-6 times. The "outdoor" part does allow smoking, which, as another observer indicated, "leaks" into the restaurant part...and, thus, one star removed. So, I'm a type of person that would rather prepare food, in particular wings, however- my friend wanted to go get wings, so I obliged his request. The atmosphere reminded me of an abbreviated BDubs (BW3s for those who are from the north). There were a vast selection of wings to choose from- being a lover of slightly spicy foods, and cautious of the combination of grease and spice with my sensitive stomach, I chose the lemon pepper wings and the honey mustard wings, and an order of the Hot-Lanta Fries. The lemon pepper wings were slightly tangy, salty, and spicy, all perfect combinations. My honey mustard wings were the equivalent of an all too perfect mushy mess, too much mustard, too little honey. The fries, were interesting (think Checker's seasoned fries, and the shoestring old school chips that come in the can). It took a LONG time for us to get our wings, but I have to say, i was slightly grossed out, ok well, really grossed out that instead of napkins, they dished out wash cloths! Yes, wash cloths like the one you wash your body with. After sheer desperation of having to wipe the grease and sauce from my lips I gave in and wiped my mouth on the wash cloth that I PRAY to GOD was sanitized well. Over-all, my server, Matt, was attentive and friendly, and I went home with a full belly, and not a upset stomach. read more

What to say. Great bar for drinks and crappie okie on Thursdays. As for the restaurant don't bother with it. I have to say after several tries over the last 18 months the entries have yet to be edible. Appetizers are less than average for bar food. Not to mention there is always a dull noxious order that has persisted from visit to visit. The restaurant is non-smoking; bar is 100% smoke friendly. The staff is 16-18 typically not too cute, more annoying than helpful and never too bright. If service is important to you lower your expectations significantly. My tip - buy Proactiv; it might work, it might not but it can't make it any worse. On the plus side it the best meat market outside the Perimeter. So if your looking for Mr. or Ms. Right now this is the place. Demographics are mostly white; more men than women; 30% straight; 25% GLBT; 20% swingers; 25% WTF don't care gotta have it now any hole will do. Two points of caution (in addition to the food). First don't even think about drinking without designating a driver. There are usually police stationed inside, at the door and in the parking lot. Yes they are making certain the roads remain safe. Taxis are typically waiting in the parking lot and the Hampton Inn across the street offers what I call a "sleep it off" or "bang bang" special if your really bad off, simply can't wait, get caught with too much PDI or will get killed by your other half who is waiting at home. Second do not use your credit card, take cash. One of the worst incidents of credit card I've ever heard of in a retail or restaurant establishment I've ever heard of. It's possible you could still be victimized and if you have contact the Milton Police immediately to file a fraud report. You will need it, trust me on this one. read more

I just went here for drinks, so I'll give my review from the bar's perspective: this place is a meat market. If you're a girl, there are plenty of guys keeping their eyes on you. The place is packed on weekend nights, but the bartenders kept up with the crowd and provided awesome service. I used to frequent the wild wing cafe in Marietta on a pretty regular basis until they sold. I was pretty excited today when I discovered there was a wild wing only 4 miles from my office. I sat down and looked through the menu. 10 mins later a server. I order my wings and no celery due to an allergy. 15 mins later food comes out covered in celery. I send it back and munch on the fries they brought out with wings. Finally after being at the table for 40 mins they bring out my wings to eat with my now cold fries. Did the manager come by to see why after 40 mins a customer was not eating? Nope not a word. Last visit for me. Too many other places that want my business. read more

We go for the wings. We've tried the wings at Taco Mac, and now we only get wings at Wild Wing Cafe. They have a massive selection, but we stick with the lemon, medium-hot, and/or teriyaki. The chips with blue cheese are yummy. We usually get okay to good service when we go. We're usually there on a Sunday afternoon (football) or a weeknight, so it looks like it's a family place. I know nothing of these Def Leppard cover bands which so many people tell me about, but if the karaoke guy came in and set up, I'd probably get ready to be entertained (I would not be DOING any entertaining, you understand). It's our go-to place when we're in the mood for wings. This will be our go-to place until we can find somewhere magical that does other worldly things with chicken wings. read more

putting my review back to 1, i complained about the actual location and how the smoking is unbearable with that i can only order to go, then i went on about the staff and how they are never around when i want to order or come to pick up my order. after i was contacted by someone that represents the company on how sorry she was about my experience with them has been and how she wants to make it up to me but guess what.....nothing!! she sent an email saying "how she wants to right things between me and the company" i sent an email back thanking her for acknowledging my experience (and trying to right it) but i have heard nothing back from herself or anyone at the company. being in the south now you have to have "your spots" for food and sadly, i have to say i think have to find another wing place. if you have any suggestions, please let me know. read more

I've been here before. Their food is decent and I've never been disappointed. Now it's been a long time since I've had good nachos. I ordered theirs and I was blown away! It comes out with nachos how you'd expect them. Then they throw in an order of chips and salsa with it. I'm not going to go into minute details but that salsa is out of this world! It's literally bursting with flavor. The nachos were also excellent and seasoned well. My only gripe is I wanted a little more salsa so I had to pay for an order of chips and salsa to do that. I am one of those people that once they find something they like at a particular Restaurant, that's pretty much what they eat every time they go there. If I go there enough I may get adventurous but I hate to waste the trip realizing that this new dish I ordered is not as good as what I usually get. That being said, I have not tried very much on the menu. Because my USUAL at Wild Wings is GARLIC, GARLIC, GARLIC Wings and a baked potato. The BP is ok, nothing to write home about but it helps the digestive system after eating a lot of Garlic or Spicey wings, if you know what I mean. If you like wings even just a little, I am sure they will have something you will like. There is A LOT to choose from. The name says "Cafe" but in reality it is more of a Sports Bar and a Meat Market. If there is any game on worth watching they will have it showing on one of their vast number of televisions. On Thurs, Fri, and Sat - Meat Market. This is the Party, Dance, and Pick-Up joint to be at in Alpharetta. A word of caution - The police frequent this establishment so be sure to bring a designated driver or Cab-It home if you plan on HAVING A FEW. I had to remove 1 star due to smelling cigarette smoke from the supposedly contained smoking room part of the restaurant/ bar. Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with my husband. He ordered a Yueling Yueling (I still don't pronounce this correctly) I had my favorite drink, water. (Really, I'm NOT kidding!) We ordered well done wings half HOT and half Crazy Daisy Asian BBQ. Both flavors were spicy but well seasoned and lick your fingers yummy! We ordered the sweet pototo fries as a side dish, they were nothing to write home about. The service was good and I like that they offer many healthy options like grilled chicken breast on skewers that you can coat with any wing sauce you like. We will be back! read more

Chicken was dry, the Buffalo chicken dip used old dry chicken. It was really quite bad. Bad enough that I won't order from here again. I know it's only wings but damn I spent over $60 on this quality. The flavors were good but quality was lacking. Sorry. The bar area has lots of TVs and I could see people enjoying themselves at the bar. An Alpharetta staple known for a variety of wing flavors and sauces, as well as a lively bar scene at night. For mid-week work lunch crowd, the wing bar is a favorite. Though over the years, the overall quality of the food, dining room, and staff has declined - taking the lunch crowd with it. I still long for the days of old - fresh food, friendly staff who knew their regulars, and a clean and up to date dining room (and bathrooms). Beh. I fail to understand how the management of this place can let the sound guy continue to work here. I mean, just because my car CAN go 140 mph, does that mean at I should??? I geeked out more than usual tonight and put an SPL meter on my iPhone. For those don't know, this is the measurement of sound at distance. For example, a normal conversation with someone 3 feet away runs between 40 and 60 dB (decibels). Hearing damage can occur instantly at 120dB. The reason I say this is because Wild Wing had maybe 50 people in it tonight. The sound pressure levels when the band came on were measured by my geeky app at 102dB. I was about 20 feet from the stage. Another fun fact: a jet engine on a Boeing 777 produces about 115dB at 300 feet. So, if you're 500 feet behind a jet as it takes off, that's probably not as loud as it was inside Wild Wing tonight. /rant I still really love the people here though. Amy is very cool. Jen is awesome. Mac is very cool. So, a shout out to my peeps, but please please please do something. There were people at tables cringing and ultimately leaving because it was so loud. A review of Wild Wing's night scene: Wild Wing's is a crack addiction without the first high. Zombies pour in on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday despite the smoke, grime, and mixed crowd. There is simply no where else in Alpharetta that can claim to be a true night life spot, except Wild Wing Cafe. That said, why can't we do better? "This bar plays host to more cougars than the Big Cat Exhibit at the San Diego Zoo." One of the first things I noticed upon walking through the swinging doors into a half wasted crowd at 10pm (mind you) is the average age. People in their 20's are the minority while the late 30 and early 40 year olds dominate the room. The best pros I can offer are the cheap drinks and great bands. While the type of music can change on any given weekend, the cover artists always manage to get patrons tapping their feet and onto the dance floor. At the end of the day, Wild Wing Cafe remains the only true night life in Alpharetta. Let's hope the Prospect Park development off Old Milton and 400 is reinstated along with the hope for something better. read more

This is the best wing spot in Alpharetta and possibly Atlanta. #1 they have the best bleu cheese I have ever tasted. The wings are amazing and I strongly recommend the cajun flavor. Along with a great staff, the bar area provides for excellent entertainment and is by far ad away the best bar in Alpharetta on week nights. read more

Came here last night on a Tuesday for the special 2 for 1 wings with friends. Been here couple times not but never ordered the wings. Usualy just some drink and apps while I watch the game with friends. We ordered 152 wings. So total of 19 diff flavors to share. They have a very big selection of sauces. (If u ask for the hottest wing there they will give u a sample of it for free so u can taste it and maybe order it next time) We went down the line and ordered what the server recommended and what my friends wanted. Okay first things first the wings was dry. I couldn't tell if it was because they was over cooked or have been cooked multiple times bc of the sauce. Also some of the wings didn't have enough sauce. They do have some funky taste to some of them for sure and some of the sauces are unique. Not a very big fan of the wings for sure and wont be ordering any from here again. read more

Spotty service sometimes, but good food. They are known for their wings and have a heck of u lot of flavors. I prefer the boneless, but they are all delicious, We usually can be found up there on Tuesdays for their 2 Fer Tuesdays, You order 8 wings or nuggets, get 16, add a basket of fries and its a done deal. and CHEAP! Their wraps are also super tasty. the fried mushrooms are spot on. For being bar food its pretty dang good. and they have incredible blue cheese. not the typical chunky bitter gross stuff. They also have trivia, and live music. There usually never a dull night up at wild wing. and always a good drink special to get ya through the night :) read more
