Customer Service was decent. We were one of the first customers who of the day and they were out of many items. We ended up with a bunch of add on items on our bill because every time we asked for something they were out of they countered by offer another item. Very disappointing experience. The loaded potato used to have a candied bacon which really was the star of the show. They no longer have that and the potato was just bland and fell flat. Upon getting out check, we hand the waiter our card, the receipt he bought back showed he ran out card for a higher price. We got the manager and the waiter had charged an additional salad to our tab after bringing the receipt for our correct order. I honestly don't have a need to return. Clean establishment very spacious. Helpful staff. Underwhelming experience. I've dined at most Pappadeaux locations throughout the US and this location was the least pleasant experience. Garlic bread and fried food was good. The fried oyster were tough in some spots. Brownie appeared over cooked in texture/taste. Dirty rice had no flavor. Stuffed shrimp and stuffed crab were amazing.

Late lunch at Pappadeaux which was my first time here. Came for the chargrilled oysters and they were out, which was a bummer. Calamari was good and crispy. The crab & spinach dip was just okay.I can't remember the name of my entrée (it was a specialty item) but the crusted sea bass over spinach and tomatoes in a buttery sauce...A winner! Bartenders were super nice and made me a custom drink that hit. I'd come back.

I took my friend here for her birthday. At first, I almost suggested going somewhere else because of my previous bad experience.. But I am so glad I didn't because this was an amazing dining experience. The server Kenny made it amazing! We ordered the Pappadeaux Seafood platter and it was so delicious! I had everything we wanted: Fried shrimp, fried clams, stuffed crab and popcorn shrimp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area we sat in was sunny and a nice quiet corner so we could hear each other and catch up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We are thinking of going back for MY birthday!

Amanda has definitely been one of the best servers that I have come across in such a long-time. Refreshing customer service, top tier and she has definitely raised the bar. She is an, excellent representation of the Pappadeaux's brand! Somebody give this lady a raise as soon as possible! Her recommendation for the snapper was simply amazing! The service was top tier, the food was top tier, and the drinks were delicious. You can ask for much more everything was cross t and every I was dotted. I highly recommend this location. And if you don't do anything else make sure you ask for Amanda!! You will never be disappointed with her I promise! She has such a beautiful spirit and she provides an amazing customer service experience. We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience from the time we walked in the door until the time that we exited everything was sheer excellence! Thank you Amanda and Pappadeaux for an amazing experience.

A group of about 10 of us went in last night, we had reservations and were seating right away. We had Niiya as our server and she was awesome! Very friendly, and fun. She was fast and very attentive without being overbearing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone had a great time here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the filet and it was ok, not the best steak ever for sure, but everyone that had a seafood dish absolutely loved it. They're still talking about it this morning, I just don't eat seafood.

Pappadeaux is NEVER a bad idea. Never. Yet, we rarely venture to this Alpharetta location. We did this weekend, however, for my daughter's birthday dinner. She was turning 4 and wanted to wear a fancy dress. After considering plenty of other restaurants in the metro area, we landed on old faithful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pappadeaux has food the whole family can enjoy, a dedicated children's menu, and offers an atmosphere where one could safely dress up or come more casual without feeling out of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The experience did not disappoint. Our waitress was great and everyone enjoyed their food. We were offered a free dessert for the birthday girl and chose the banana pudding. It comes in a large mason jar, so everyone was able to get a small serving that more than sufficient for our party of 5. As a note, for anyone who has been a longtime Pappadeaux customer: the menu continues to shift while keeping several popular staples. The seafood Cobb salad is one of my go-to menu items. So, I really happy the waitress let me know of the changes so that we could customize my salad if needed. The big changes are (1) this served with a wedge instead of a lettuce mix , and (2) comes with a French dressing rather than the creamy vinaigrette.

Love Pappadeaux! We always get the same thing everytime we come - the mozerella sticks and fried shrimp with French fries. It is absolutely delicious everytime. Definitely recommend reservations, but depending on the day you may be able to get away with not having one.

My 2nd time gracing the bar at this location. The bartenders are always nice and attentive. The food is always good per Pappadeaux's... Everything came out hot and we went there late so of course I was expecting an attitude and did not receive any at all. I so appreciate you all. I'm sure I will be back and will be justice, please. The baked potato's are HUGE lol side note

Many say that Pappadeaux is over rated but that'll never make me not like them! I love them! The food is always prompt, tasty and of great quality! I love this their seafood. The salmons are always my favorite. The salads are the best, they never disappoint. The drinks are always made perfect. I love their bake potatoes. Customer service is always top tier.

The stuffed grouper was cooked to perfection and the savory carrots were a plus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was nice and quiet[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the staff were all very friendly. I throughly enjoyed the brownie. Would definitely return.

Sunday brunch, easy in and out. Parking was a breeze...we were seated immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were able to grab one of the booths in the bar, which is always preferred.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Cobb salad, skipped the creole dressing and opted for their creamy vinaigrette (a favorite). Salad was a touch wet, I imagine as a result of them washing the greens which is always a welcome practice. Primary issues is a watery salad has a tendency to dilute the flavor of the other ingredients. I recommend ensuring your greens are at least dry before you add the other ingredients. Mom had the Atlantic salmon and a baked potato, both which were delicious and flavorful. Service was excellent, it's always better in the bar;) [[HIGHLIGHT]]While we enjoyed the playlist, the volume made it difficult to carry on a conversation without continuously having to repeat ourselves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] An overall decent experience considering Pappadeaux's is chain restaurant.

I was recently here with my best friend and her mom for a late Saturday lunch. We had a reservation so when we arrived, we didn't have to wait long to be seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is nice and really large! I loved the open views especially during our rainy visit[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Our server, Taj was ok. Not the greatest service but it wasn't the worse. I felt like he was just going through the motions and not really present in the moment. For starters we shared the fried calami and octopus. This was a good dish but slightly salty. We also shared a brownie dessert which was yummy! We all ordered something different for our entrees. I really enjoyed my trout and grilled shrimp dish. Served with truffle potatoes. I also had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Very overpriced for 8 oz ($20)!!! The food portion size was huge and I definitely enjoyed leftover once I got back to Alabama. I haven't had Pappadeaux in a number of years. I can see myself eating here again. Hopefully with better service.

Food was good. Service at bar was mediocre at best. Would definitely recommend the one in Marietta instead.

Ask the Community - Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

Do they take reservations?

YEP

Why are the portions so huge?

It's a restaurant that caters to families. Most times serving sizes are big enough to share and perhaps take home for leftovers. The food is always fresh and yummy. Options are endless. Enjoy.

Does this location serve brunch? If not, which Atlanta area location does?

I don't know if they have Monday - Saturday brunch. But I've been to the Sunday Brunch Buffet and it's delicious and it's so many options.

Big Easy BBQ - Do Not Waste Your Money or Time Eating Here A…read morefew days ago, I watched a well-known BBQ show that offered a simple rule: if there's no smoke coming from a BBQ restaurant, keep driving. Today, I ignored that advice and regretted it. A friend and I decided to try Big Easy BBQ for lunch instead of visiting one of our usual favorites. After reading positive reviews, we drove more than 30 minutes to see what the hype was about. The first warning sign was the nearly empty dining room at lunchtime. The second was the complete lack of that unmistakable BBQ aroma. Despite both red flags, we stayed. My friend ordered the St. Louis ribs with sides, and I ordered the half chicken with two sides. When I noticed he had barely touched his ribs, he handed me a piece to try. The meat was tough, dry, and tasted as though it had been cooked well in advance and reheated. Unfortunately, my chicken was no better. It also seemed old and reheated rather than freshly prepared. For sides, I chose dirty rice and Cajun BBQ beans. Neither tasted particularly fresh. The dirty rice was acceptable at first but quickly lost its appeal, while the beans were merely average. Having lived in New Orleans for five years, I know what good Cajun and BBQ-inspired food should taste like. This wasn't it. The highlights of the meal were my iced tea and my friend's French fries. Service was equally disappointing. The server checked on us only in passing and showed little interest in our experience. When we requested takeout boxes for the food we barely ate, there was no inquiry about why our meals were largely untouched. We both took our leftovers home, though neither of us was enthusiastic about them. The lesson here is simple: online reviews should never outweigh what your eyes, nose, and instincts are telling you. A busy dining room, the smell of smoke, and trusted recommendations are often better indicators than a collection of glowing ratings. As a final note, my friend and I normally pay separately, but I felt responsible for suggesting this restaurant and paid for both meals. If paying for two disappointing lunches taught me anything, it's this: save your time and money, and eat somewhere else.

The seafood is a 10/10!! This is a must try spot if you're in town…read more The crawfish is fresh and juicy! I will say the crawfish prices are most worth it especially when they have the $10/lbs deals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! Add ons for corn, potatoes, and sausages are reasonable prices and they do not skimp out ok the sauce! I've tried the cajun fries and the garlic noodle! The garlic noodles are okay they're more dry and have whole garlic in it instead of minced. But the fries remind me of steak and shake skinny fries! The service is great. Servers are attentive and make sure your water's always filled. The place is clean and there's a double sink outside the restrooms that make it easy and convenient to wash your hands. Overall I love this place and would choose it over any other seafood restaurants :D

However, I'm a biiiig fan of fried oysters, and theirs were good--that's what brought me back. I stopped by recently for a quick lunch and ordered the fried oysters, popcorn shrimp and Cajun fries with a side of Kickin sauce. The food came out quickly and tasted good overall. My only note is that the oysters seemed a bit smaller this time around. Service was quick and attentive. The ambiance was quiet and relaxed since we went around 5 p.m. on a Thursday. I'd come back if I were in the area and craving it again, but I do wish they offered a fried seafood platter. A lot of the appetizers sound good, but ordering them individually is pricey.
