Just finished up a round a golf with the buddies and went here to get some drinks and a bite to eat. When we got there, we were seated in the back patio. We had 4 people and we're only given 3 menus, that was our first sign. Waited 15-20+ minutes just to put in our drink order. Meanwhile, the two table beside us were served entrees and a customer who came in after was served his drinks before we were ever greeted. Finally our server greets us by laughing in 4 grown mens' faces, then asking "what do you want" in the most condescending manner. My friend asks what's funny and he proceeded to try and hide his laugh again with his hand. At this point we all just got up and left. read more

We live so close that we would be frequent diners. Although we keep trying they keep letting us down with each visit. The service is continuously bad. So much that the last time we visited the manager bought our entire meal, drinks and all. Because of that, we returned tonight only to find that the food was mediocre and the service was lousy to boot! We won't be back. read more

I have tried many different flavors of wings here. I have yet to find a flavor I didn't like. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. They have plenty of TVs to watch the game of your choice. I wish the service was better. Most of the staff I have encountered have been inattentive. They seem to all hangout in a couple areas of the restaurant and talk. Wanted to specifically give a shout out to the bartender Savanna C. She was awesome! Upon arriving, we were initially told there would be a 30 min. wait for a table. I asked the host about the multiple empty tables in the bar area. He stated that they were too busy and the bartenders didn't want the tables to be full... that didn't quite sound right to me and upon entering the bar area to get a drink while waiting, I asked Savanna about the tables. As I suspected, she absolutely wanted the tables to be full and she proceeded to seat us and go to the host stand to take care of things. She continued to provide attentive and good service the entire time. I see that there are some other reviews with criticisms of service... My husband and I visited this location yesterday. As we walked through the door, one of the servers was telling a hostess that there had been a discrepancy in a customer's credit card charges. This gave me pause, but we asked for a table for two nonetheless. Though the place seemed moderately busy, we were seated in a room with only one other occupied table. We had a nice view of the lake and of the busy bar area outside. We were given menus by the hostess who escorted us to our table, but we were never approached by a server. After we had been sitting there for twenty minutes, a guest from the other table in the room shared with us that they had to go track down a server to take their order, despite many staff members carrying orders out to the bar area every few minutes. We left without ordering, and I doubt anyone noticed. Who knows? Maybe we were spared from credit card fraud... read more

Let me start off by saying, the food was great. It's the server that made this particular experience terrible. My girlfriend and I came here for dinner on 9/21, our server, Nico, was one the worst servers I've had at any restaurant. It took about 10 minutes before he approached the table and then stood about 4 feet away to take our drink order. He got our drinks and we put in an order for an appetizer. Appetizer was brought out, we finished it and then it took about another 5-10 minutes before he even offered to take our entree order. Food came out, great. He took our empty plates and when he brought the check to the table he literally threw it on the table as he walked by and said nothing. Never in my life have I had such a lousy waiter. Side note: I watched a couple sit in one of his booths. We he came by the table to get their drink order, they asked if they could sit somewhere else. It is a sad day when the best part of the meal was the Iced Tea. The wings were tiny and swimming in water downed sauce. Waitress said they were fried, but they appeared to and tasted like they were baked,. There was no crispiness to them whatsoever. I ordered a salad, but was told they had no produce delivery so no salad. The waitress was pretty good, refilling our drinks without asking. I was happy a Wild Wing location opened so close to my Moms house. The restaurant is situated on Lake Julian and the back patio lines the shore line. The inside of the building has large, cathedral ceilings with oversized wood beams, hung canoes and boats with lights line the bar area and dining room. The open floor plan is beautiful but the acoustics are awful. My Mom and I arrived at 945pm on a Saturday night looking for the Mayweather Pacquiao fight. This was our fourth restaurant attempt and WW was not showing it either. We decided to drown our sorrows in what I consider to be the best wings in the city and a few adult beverages. This location has the same food as the WW downtown, not even 4 miles down the road yet the food doesn't taste the same and the portions are drastically smaller here. We ordered steel town spuds with tater tots, something I order every time, yet what we were served was half of what I usually get. Steel Town spuds is a mound of tater tots covered with cheese, bacon and scallions all swimming in ranch dressing. What we received was a shallow plate with barely any tots at all. You could see more plate than tater tots. My little fat kid heart was broken. I ordered the 8 piece boneless wing dinner and my Mom had the hamburger sliders with tavern chips. Per the menu, my boneless wings came with a side but they didn't. The 2 sauces were non-existent. My Moms sliders were overcooked. The tavern chips saved the plate. We ordered the peach bikini pineapple mixed drink and it was all ice and pineapple juice. I get a buzz pretty easily but I cant get the giggles on watery pineapple juice for $5.50. A band was playing the night we came in and even though we were at the bar, which is across the restaurant from where the band was playing, I couldn't hear a word my Mom was saying. We talked using mouthed words and head nods with our waiter. A wonderful Helen Keller dining experience. Unless you're on the patio, you wont have a great dining experience at this WW location. Between yelling my conversation, small portions and watered down drinks, I'll be going back to WW downtown. read more

I understand everyone is having staffing issues, but it is ridiculous to sit someone then have them wait 30 minutes to get waited on and then your order comes out wrong and no one comes back to check up on you to give you a refill or to fix your order. And when you explain to the manager the opportunities they could care less. It's simple, don't sit people you can't service. read more

First off I'll say usually the service and such is very good. I came in on sunday evening and it was very slow. My server might have been new, because another server had to pick up the slack for them. On top of that I was given only my bills, and shorted my change. It's not a big deal, but that's what I paid for and I expect my change, so I had to ask the other server to get my change. It's the moral of the thing. I mean, this is the second place I've eaten that does this, and I find it odd and annoying. Enough so to the point where, like at hickory tavern, if they want to keep my change they don't really need a tip do they now? It's a dick thing to do but I stand by that. I do not have words for this dining experience. One person in our group ordered a glass of wine when we sat down. We received and ate our appetizer, which was ordered after the wine, before the wine came out. We were then told that the bartender was having some personal issues and that was the reason for the delay in the wine being delivered. We never did figure out what sort of person problems allow for someone to be at work, but prevent them from being able to pour a glass of house wine. It's a good thing that we ordered an appetizer because it took over an hour for our food to come out and while we were waiting we got the opportunity to enjoy watching the table next to us be seated, order, eat, pay, and leave. When we finally did get out food half of it was cold and the icing on the cake was the hair in one of the sandwiches. We left hungry and underwhelmed. read more

The food is just good, nothing to write home about. The reason I give it a three is because i nearly had a heart attack in the place TWICE while I was there. Two different employees dropped dishes right next to my table and scared the beejesus out of me. The table behind me actually got some of the spilled food on them. The other reason it's a three is because of the way the bathroom was designed. It's a pretty big place, you'd think they would've designed the bathroom better to accommodate the amount of guests they get in there. First of all, all the ladies have to play the "is this stall taken" game by equating down and looking for feet. But you have to get right up against the people washing their hands to see. Just so crowded in there. There's no way I could take my disabled friend into the handicap stall without clearing everyone out first. The service was good, Pam was nice. The gaggle of teenage girls up front seating people was a little too much though. Private parking and outdoor seating! You can bring your dog. read more

"Worse to Worst, Worst to Last!" Yesterday afternoon, my wife and I wanted to go to one of our favorite restaurants for some food, beverages and relaxation... Table 1/1... We were seated and then waited about 10 minutes before the waitress noticed us. When she approached us, she ask us how long we had been sitting there. We told her! We ordered Blue Moon Beers for us both, only to be later informed that they had ShockTop and that it was on special. Great! However the ShockTop didn't taste like ShockTop and tasted more like watered down light beer from the tap. We had ordered Onion Rings and Boneless Wings for us both... The Onion Rings were way over-cooked to the point they were burnt tasting. When our waitress Kalea came back to check on us, we had tried 1 onion ring each at that time and we were not pleased. We asked to have these sent back and ordered another plate of onion rings and that these were over-cooked. Needless to say when the second stack of Rings came out, we were appalled. The second stacked was just like the first stack, burnt and over-cooked!!! What, was this a joke??? We ate what we could, leaving the rest! When our wings arrived, they were almost cold to taste... unbelievable!!! My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for years. We've sent back two plates of onion rings in the past and they were always great on the second batch... But not this time... We did not finish the boneless wings either, opting to bring them home instead and put them in a microwave to take the chill off. It appears that you need someone who can cook rings and wings in your kitchen, because whoever it was yesterday afternoon surely could not! I'm truly not sure why this place seems to have such bad reviews lately. We've been eating there for awhile now and still love it. We always go for the weekday wing bar. Most recently we went and not only was the food great, but our server Brie was fantastic. She was incredibly friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back soon. If you're looking for wings for lunch with some killer blue cheese then this is your place! So the wing bar is around $11.95 i think mon-fri from 11-2 (call for specifics because this is from memory.) The bar has tortilla chips, tater tots, amazing spinach queso type dip, mac and cheese, two chicken concoctions, and i think around 6 different rotating flavors of wings. This was my first time to the restaurant (my wife's third). It was a warm day, so we sat outside. The view looking out over the lake was very nice. The patio was a touch loud with the music being too much. The staff turned it down at our request. The food was amazing. We ordered the chicken sandwich, and substituted the "secret sauce" for the buffalo sauce. The portion sizes were perfect for us. The mac 'n cheese and potato salad sizes were awesome. The prices were reasonable. Not great, but not out of line. The staff was friendly, and attentive. I was very impressed with this place and will most likely return the next time I happen to be in Asheville. read more

Wow this place has tanked!!! Called us for the table and forgot to Note we wanted an outside table. Called us again for another inside table. Finally got outside. Server was totally not capable. Took forever for the food to come. There was a fight on the grass. Had to go looking for the server twice and for the check. An the place looks like it is falling apart.
