I came back again just to see if thing have changed since my last visit. NOPE. waitress was non existent. The only one who helped was the guy running food. Waited for drinks over 10 minutes before waitress even took our drink order. Wings did come out pretty fast. Waitress only by once to see if we need something. Just returned from Wild Wing Cafe Arden. They need to drain and rinse dishwasher because the drinks have tons of soapy bubbles. The taste of the food is spectacular, but it must have sat up on the deck too long, because the onion rings were very soggy, not crisp. Waitress brought out snack and didn't refill my drink. Waited awhile and the chicken had a great taste but wasn't crisp though fried. Bun was the best tasting bun I've ever had! The music on porch is twice as loud as it is inside for some reason. The service took forever. We were there for a little more than 2 hours. It didn't seem busy enough to have to wait that long. The food was terrible. The fiesta salad I ordered was soggy and the spices they put on the food were way to much. They must have had a cook working that just dumped handfuls on the food. The chicken tenders another person in our party ordered were burnt the whole way through. This was not a good experience. Huge portion, lots of good flavors, boneless skinless pulled rotisserie style chicken. I am so glad I took a chance because I wouldn't have picked it out myself. Bloody Mary bar is amazing; well worth the $4 happy hour special and so much to choose from to make your own. It's a super casual sports bar with lodge style comfort food and lake views and lots of parking. Burgers were also generous in size and others at my table said they'd definitely come back and get theirs again. The brownie dessert comes with two giant slices of brownie (which was more cake like than expected) but wasn't as much of a chocolate brownie ending like we hoped. I have been coming to this place for 3 years now and the place has gotten worse every time. This will be my last time visiting here! I started to eat my sand which and then noticed the lettuce was molded and black. So I thought maybe just one bad leaf. Well looked at everyone else's and there's was the same. The service has really went down the drain for this place and the servers would rather hang out and talk than make money. We've frequented this establishment (and the previous location in downtown) for over 20 years because the sauces (and, incredibly, the burgers) are hands-down the best of any restaurant we've visited between the US, Europe, and Asia. Having said that, management has been a bit hit-or-miss through the years, but it seems to definitely be on the upswing lately. We really appreciate Devin and his incredible ability to attract and retain the very best staff, in particular, Carly, who is an absolute ROCKSTAR! If only every server could be as personable, efficient, flexible, and attentive as she is, peace would exist in the middle east, all children would keep their rooms tidy, and the dodo would come back from extinction... or at least dining out would be a far more consistently enjoyable experience as it is with such exceptional service as Carly provides. The greatest thing about this restaurant is the staff, particularly the one strapping, bulky, fellow that sports deep cut V-Neck casual wear. He exudes leadership and charisma. When I needed a drink, he was there. When I needed advice, he was there. Quite frankly, I don't know where I'd be without him. This is the most disgusting filthy wild wing cafe in the company. The outside bar is stick and filthy with cigarette ash and you can't enjoy the outside bar because of the smoking they allow. The area around the outside bar looks like they drag the grease trap around and trash bags leaking. The inside is just as bad. It has a dirty restaurant smell with food under table that looks like it has been there for days. Tables and floors are sticky when you walk on them and touch the table. Good luck being served in a timely manner they are very short staffed and takes forever to be welcomed or greeted. I wouldn't advertise locally owned. Once in a blue moon I crave wings and after a couple days I decided to order through doordash. I've picked up from here before and everything was great. This time, my medium Buffalo wings had no sauce or seasoning. The fries were in a damp container, completely mushy and somehow overcooked. Some of them looked like they had spent several rounds in the fryer and were solid all the way through. Tried to add some sauce to the wings and they were still far from halfway decent. I'm not generally picky, the wrong flavor sauce and fresh fries I wouldn't bother complaining. The ranch was the only redeemable thing. Good place for huge selection of wings. But I think it would be smart to add a little additional service to the orders of big platters. Why not to indicate next to every taste what kind taste they are... Maybe a little stickers or something. We usually order platters of 30 or 60 wings and by the time they served to our table we cannot say exactly which is what. And another thing, even thou this place is open till 2 a.m it is better not to order any food a little later than 10 p. The french fries were frozen in the middle, wings not fresh at all and no selery on the plate. I understand that to come around 11 is too late, but if its indicating that its open late at night, that means they have to serve descent food till late. Not only drinks! Until today, a still quiet patio on a saturday afternoon when a guy puked at the bar sitting 10ft away from us at our table overlooking the water. 45 min later and it was finally being cleaned up as a staff member sprayed down the puke running it under our table and flip flopped feet. These things happen...I get it. But not an apology was made nor was any part of the bill compensated as the rest of out food was not eaten. We had to go to the host stand and ask them to track her down several times. Drink times (non-alcoholic) were over 10 minutes and we were made to feel as we were an inconvenience by being there. OK food, good sports atmosphere and shock top on sale often. A good place to come with friends. The flavors for the wings are one of a kind and very good, but the chicken they use feels like bottom shelf. Years ago I thought it was good, rivaling BWW. Over the years they've gotten worse and worse in my opinion, and now they seem like pitiful, skinny, winglets. I love the flavors but miss the wings. Warning: we are very big Wild Wings fans. We have been eating at Wild Wings since the early 90s in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a really fun place. Love the wings. Best wings around, and I am not not just talking around Asheville. We tried the new Lime Srirocha wings in addition to others including old favorites like Italian. Really good, recommend both!
