My boyfriend and I stopped in here for the first time in April 2012 and we really liked it! The owner was very friendly and suggested we try the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. It was ridiculously good. The fries are delicious and taste even more amazing if you dip them in the buffalo ranch sauce. I got the buffalo chicken and cheese sandwich but next time I am getting the Philly. It's a little funny that our favorite thing at the Wings place was the Philly cheese steak but who cares, that thing is amazing! Also, they have Diet Dr. Pepper, Sweet Tea, and Orange Soda. (3 things I love but don't always see as an option, yay!) We will def be returning, their menu is full of good stuff. The wings were dry and boney. Not much meat on it at all. The sauce only covered the top four wings and the wings were cold. Customer service was bad too. This is the worst thing I ever ate.. I ordered the boneless wings. They looked and tasted like they were made three years ago. These weren't even fit to give to my dog, I threw them away. I eat here frequently.The Philly cheesteak was excellent. Boneless wings are a bargain, I love the honey barbecue and have tried most of the others. The fried pickles and macaroni wedges are also favorites. Service is sometimes slow at lunch time but I allow for that. The owner has always gone out of his way to make sure the order was right and if not to your satisfaction is willing to fix it. Been here once and never going back. I was craving really good Chicken Wings from back home so I decided to try this place out. The chicken wasn't very good .. The sauce and the taste was just off. I even ordered blue cheese and ranch for the chicken and they came in the smallest containers and weren't even filled. They were filled halfway. Being from Cali we have way more options and better chicken wings! Sorry Anchorage y'all need to step it up! How could you have bad chicken wings?!? This was our first visit; everything that we ordered was delicious. The seasoned fries are yummy and the pickles were actually very good. We also got the kamikaze & honey Bbq wings. Kamikaze, is basically buffalo wings that are actually spicy and not just sour. The typical buffalo wing is more sour than hot; however, kamikaze has a nice heat to it. Because I eat Thai spicy, it wasn't a overwhelming amount of heat. The honey Bbq wings are also tasty. Overall, it was a good first experience. For what it is, the food is OK. If you pay with a debit/credit card make sure you keep your receipt. I purchased the Philly cheese/fries and drink combo $14+ and was billed $29+. I returned to the store and was told to come back after 2pm when the manager was in. I returned and the owner was still there and no effort was made to correct the error. Tried out the location today, in spite of reading the prior reviews for the location here. Typically I give a location three chances-the server can have an off day, the cook staff can have an off day, but if they have three bad visits-the place is just bad. This place will not be getting a second or third chance it was that bad, yes that bad! Ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and boneless garlic parmesan wings. Service was extremely slow, cashier never smiled and never attempted any kind of upsell-like a beverage-hello! The Philly cheesesteak there has one clear distinction, it comes with the least amount of meat of any Philly cheesesteak served in Alaska. The wings were not fresh and had been clearly made before hand with the garlic parmesan being a last minute afterthought before be placed in a paper lined basket. This location has clearly been open long enough to have gotten the kinks out, so I can't imagine what it was like initially. Do NOT waste your time going there. The Qdoba next door is a much better choice, for that matter the McDonald's within the parking lot will seem like fine cuisine. If you want a great Philly Cheesesteak travel south on Old Seward Highway to Winky's Wings and after you order your sandwich get at least 20 wings you won't be disappointed with either. I was so hopeful there would be a northern part of Anchorage option for wings but this place only wants to drive south even more. Yuck! read more

i don't go here too often, like maybe once every couple weeks or so, and i tend to order the same thing from this place: boneless honey bbq wings, like 20, 30 if i'm feeling vacuous yet fat. they got it right often enough that i thought, "yeah, okay. not great but it beats driving all the way to buffalo wild wings." and i'm not really much on dealbreakers for places, but within a month, they screwed up my order twice. what'd i end up getting? regular wings in some vague semblance of sauce meagerly soaking patches of the styrofoam instead of slathered all over, not even on the side in little dipping cups. wings should something that borderline annoys you if the sauce is basically a thick soup with wings floatin around in it but here it's bizarrely opposite. what the hell? the first time it happened, i was tired as hell and thought, "yeah, maybe i didn't say BONELESS loud enough. whatever. no big deal." i'm not ordering for a party, i'm not ordering for a bunch of people, or even two people. i'm ordering for me. i'd be annoyed if they asked me to clarify my order, but at least then they'd be more likely to get it right since it's the flagship item on their menu and on the damn sign outside. you'd think the people out front taking the orders would get the damn orders right especially if the order had the word "WINGS" in it or at least read it back to you to clarify what you wanted, like most places. i don't usually throw a fit over food and i'm not going to go rampaging over this either. people tell me i should since it's what i wanted and paid for, but generally if i get basically the same product and i don't die from it, it's not worth complaining about. i usually think, "well, it's not what i ordered. but maybe this'll actually be a good change." not so. there's no good change to be had from meat being replaced with bone. thus far, i've been lucky enough to not have food allergies so different food items, ingredients and sauces haven't been a contentious issue for me, and usually i'm too hungry to put up a fight and wait even longer. but this is just irritating to the point of taking my starving self elsewhere. hell, red robin does wings better, as does texas roadhouse or literally any pizza place around. and that's another thing. the wings aren't really that great. 20-30 is a lot, but the wings aren't that big, most are maybe half of what one normally is. and the flavor is about skin deep. i guess to compensate they went for smaller, thinner meat so it would soak in, but once more, not so. the compromise here would be smart if the portions were more plentiful, but because you're paying so much for so little, it doesn't help the way it was intended. i really shouldn't knock this place too hard, since i've only ever ordered one thing. i've read some good stuff about their burgers and sandwiches. but if the name of your place has the word "wings" in it and your wings aren't that good, you might want to pick a different name or try harder. read more

I hadn't seen or heard of this place until I went to movie at the Tikahtnu theatre, so I stopped in after the movie. I ordered the second hottest buffalo wing sauce and they were very tasty, meaty and very flavorful. Next time I will step up and order the Kamikaze sauce on the wings (I believe the hottest they serve). I would recommend this place to anyone who loves good wings. I would have given them five stars, but I don't like tasting vinegar in my wing sauces. This is minor, because allow I did taste the vinegar, they were still very flavorful. read more

We tried being nice and we only got 3 beers (1 for each of us) and he acted like we were asking him for to much. This is one of my favorite places by far! I have always had excellent service and have been coming back when they had military discount. That's why I was bummed when I called to make a simple take out order. I planned on only getting 2 orders of funnel fries (because they're delicious and how else do you celebrate finishing a test and paper in a tough class?) They were quick to respond and once I asked to put in an order for pick up the lady asked me to hold. I then sat on hold for 20 minutes until I decided to hang up. Not once did anyone pick up to recognize I was still on hold or anything. I kept waiting because I was still in town running errands but by the 20 minute mark I was so bummed out that I hung up and just chose to get some fried ice cream at another place. This place was all around great! A little more pricey than the other compareable resturants, but so worth it! I had the chicken wrap and my daughter had the slider. We both loved our meals. I also had some fried zuccini and it was delicious! The owner made it a point to not only come out and talk to us, but also to ring us up. It was nice to see a manager actually working! About a year ago this place was good. It was on our list to come back to when we visited again. Well it is horrible. The wings were hardly bigger than my pinky. They are also just wings from Costco. I decided to give this place a try because there aren't a whole lot of options for wings in anchorage. I ordered garlic Parmesan wings and onion rings to go. The cashier told me it would be 10 minutes or less for the food to be ready so that sounded great. After waiting for 20 minutes my order was ready and the waitress served it to me in baskets instead of in a to go box. My wings were just buffalo wings with a little bit of Parmesan cheese on them and the onion rings were flavorless and tasted like fryer oil. When i got home they forgot my fries, ordered the fried mac and cheese and they only gave me like 5 and they are TINY!!!! i just paid 6$ for. The wings were not so great, garlic Parmesan was super salty. Sonic boom just tasted like regular buffalo wings you throw in the oven from the store bought freezer. Not even spicy AT ALL. BTW the wings were super small and barely any meat, very over fried/cooked, was hard to chew. Everywhere i go for wings they are either super good or ok. I'm a classy guy. I really don't like eating in fast food restaurants, for instance. That said, I'm a thrifty guy too. Where Wild Wings n' Things really wins big is it costs only $12 to eat there (including drink), but it feels like you are in a $20/plate restaurant (it's considerably nicer then T.G.I. Fridays...and a little nicer than Moose's Tooth). And, that's really amazing. I really appreciated the fact the owner includes the drink in the price of the meal. $12 for 8 BIG wings, a generous portion of fries, and a soda. Whereas every other business in town tries to charge you $3 for a soda, Wild Wings n' things gives it to you for free! And, I really like that. As you know, you can easily spend $12 on fast food nowadays. That's where Wild Wing's n' Things is....dare I say..."disorienting". e.g. "I only paid for fast food, but I am in a nice restaurant!" As it's right next to the movie theater, it's a great place to bring a girl on date! And, I saw a bunch of people doing that Saturday evening (which is why I mention it). I should add the staff is super personable and friendly. And, of course, the place is spotless. Lastly, and most importantly, the food. Wild Wing n' Things has the BEST wings in Alaska! read more
