It's quite cute inside. They are extremely busy. I recommend going online and getting on the waiting list because we did not and when my husband and I came, they wouldn't seat us until he came in from parking in the car. then they forgot about us until I said something then they sat us. I made a reservation several days in advance for 12pm and was surprised when on that day around 11:30 (around 30 before the scheduled reservation) I got a notification my reservation had been canceled. I called right away and the staff member told me that they had called my name and no one was there so they canceled the reservation....I said okay but my reservation time hasn't happened yet. I'm calling at 11:30 and the reservation is at 12. She then said oh you are right is everyone here now. I said no the reservation is at 12 so we will be there at 12 for the 12pm reservation. We were a little alarmed since we had just checked in but thankful to be seated promptly. The restaurant itself is cute. The quality of the food and coffee was very good too. I enjoyed my latte and portions were large. The place however is VERY loud and hectic. This is expected for the holiday season but here it felt a little more than comfortable. Went to the Oak Brook location last week- it was delicious! Sunday morning brunch- time is obviously going to be very busy, so I recommend getting on the waitlist online- it will definitely speed things up! Service was great from everyone we interacted with, even with it being so busy, and the lobby being crowded because it was rainy, no one wanted to wait outside till their table was ready. Prices were a bit higher than your basic chain breakfast places, but the menu is much more interesting, and portion sizes were huge. The front podium staff (yes, staff-- three people, versus looking around for someone as we have experienced elsewhere) was warm and welcoming. The food arrived very quickly and the quality was excellent (I had bacon, eggs and toast; my wife had a BLT). The portions were generous-- neither of us could finish. The real high point, however, was the service. Our server Samantha was over-the-top friendly and attentive, surpassing even the super-positive attitudes of the podium staff. This is not a bargain diner, but pricing was reasonable for the Chicago metro market: each meal was just under $20, and the endless-refill coffees were $4.50 each. So figure $50 for two, plus tip.
