On my birthday, I ordered a double stack burger and when I bit into it, a fragment of a toothpick jabbed directly into my mouth. I immediately stopped, spit everything out, and searched through the burger where I found a piece of wood. When I showed this to the waitress, she simply said sorry and had no explanation for how it got there. She offered either to speak to a manager or remake the burger, so I chose a remake. They brought out complimentary soup while I waited, and the second burger arrived without any toothpick. However, at the end of the night I was shocked that the waitress did not comp the burger despite the serious safety incident. This could have resulted in dental damage, mouth lacerations, or internal bleeding. The restaurant showed zero accountability or genuine concern for my well being. I used to visit every couple of months in every year, but after this experience I will not be returning. This is completely unacceptable. Honestly, it was a great experience! Went with a friend after a day of shopping. We sat at the bar and didn't expect much, but the bartender was super friendly and had great drink suggestions. I ordered takeout online and showed up early to park in my spot. I only waited a few minutes before they brought it out. I like the new system which allows you to say when you're on your way, and when you've arrived. It definitely helps streamline the process. I ordered the avocado egg rolls, and in a note asked if I may have additional sauce, which they gave me :) I love these egg rolls! They came out hot and they are sooo yummy! The tamarind sauce adds a flavor punch. The girl who brought the order out was nice and made sure I hadn't ordered any drinks that they might have missed. I don't know what the dine in experience is like at this location, but I definitely like their takeout! read more

What happened to this place?! I want to start off positive. The waitress was very friendly and informative and attentive. The food was just such a let down. Cucumber salad looks so sad, old, anything but fresh. But oddly enough packed with flavor! Eggs Benedict was just so lazy. No umff in the food. Plus we were given a lot of burnt pieces of potato. The flat bread was the only good thing except my kids almost ate pieces of parchment paper that was left on if I didn't spot it myself. And my ginger chicken plate was definitely not work $23. Chicken portion was small, very dry, very rubbery and hard to chew. But again surprisingly tasted good. Presentation and freshness lacks big time. But there's hope because flavor is there. For what it is, it's a good place with flavorful dishes and we love that it's open late. We were out and about and looking for a late meal for our family and remembering they offer a slice of Cheesecake or dessert for your birthday, it was an incentive to stop in and it wasn't much of a wait. Our favorite go-to is the Farfalle with Chicken and Roasted Garlic $25. If you like white-cream sauce savory pasta, with some peas, a sprinkle of bacon, this is the dish for you. My husband tried something new on this visit, the Chicken Madeira dish and thought it hit the spot. Their chicken was done well and their mushroom was marinated perfectly. The kids' menu has many options and ours opted for the flatbread pepperoni & cheese pizzas ($11-12) which were a good size for them. It was the rectangular shape and about a size of a pan which was more than your typical 4-inch circle pizzas. However, it would have been nice if they included drinks with the kids meal too. Overall, the food was great and the ambiance was decent (as with each time we visit) so we would be back and we have been to their other locations. Though, I would have taken this down to 3.5 vs a 4 star if it was an option mainly because this one particular location could do a bit better with cleanliness. We noticed at the moment of sat-down, there was a handful of utensils (forks and knives) still felt a bit dirty to the touch and we can visually see the grime still left on them. It's likely a dishwasher rinsing situation and they had extra forks so we just sent the dirty ones back and it wasn't much of an issue. Other than that, and perhaps a bit more refilling of water, we could also use offering of bread at initial seating, and more frequent checking on our table. I do understand it was getting late to closing time so it was an almost 4-star experience and enough to round up to give 4 for this visit. read more

The Cheesecake Factory just popped up. Found a close parking spot, it's been pretty cold out, went in and got seated right away. Great waiter, did we need a drink or coffee to warm up. I got coffee and my partner just wanted water as we reviewed the massive menu. We agreed on warm Crab dip for sharing and made our decisions for entrees. I ordered quesadillas with chicken and my partner opted for shrimp scampi dinner. Our Crab dip came out quick with a nice space before our dinners. Did I say our waiter was great? He realized I was cold and got my coffee refilled readily. Our entrees were great, perfect portions and temperature. Oh the table nearby had a family celebrating a child's birthday. Our waiter, their waiter took pictures for them. The kids were great. Oh our waiter was too. He asked if we wanted dessert. We together laughed, I needed to see the big list. My partner ordered vanilla bean cheesecake and I ordered salted caramel cheesecake. When he brought the cheesecake he asked if we needed a take home box. Well this was an interesting experience! The first thing I noticed was my group of 3 were placed all the way in the back. I felt segregated from others and the view was of the kiosk stand where staff members put orders in. This may be an ideal seating location for some, for me it's just not it. This place was PAAACCKED. We did get our food pretty quick given how busy it was. A different server at some point came up to our table and let us know a different table didn't want their cream of chicken soup and offered it to us. He let us know he didn't want to bring it back to the kitchen and let it go to waste. The interaction was interesting and we felt weird saying no. None of us ate it. I had the Mexicali salad with the dressing on the side. I really enjoyed it. It was acidic, fresh and had lots of ingredients. I would order this again but at a different location. read more

I've been to The Cheesecake Factory plenty of times, but today is the first time that I've visited for brunch. The menu is just as expansive as their lunch and dinner menu, but with the addition of omelettes, pancakes and waffles. After viewing so many options, I decided to get the Fried Chicken and Waffles. I'm usually annoyed when restaurants take the route of adding chicken tenders instead of chicken wings. This time there were no complaints from me because those chicken tenders had a really delicious, crispy and flavorful batter, which completely complimented the waffle. It's crazy, but I have to say for a waffle, that was one of the best waffles I've ever had. It had a slight citrus flavor that was really tasty. Brunch at The Cheesecake Factory was a refreshing change from the usual lunch or dinner experience. Sharing this meal with friends I've known for years made the experience even better. Even though getting a reservation for a larger group was tricky, arriving early paid off. If you're planning a visit, I recommend the same approach for a seamless start to your day. I used to LOVE the Cheesecake Factory. The food was always solid and consistent. So many good options on the menu, you really couldn't go wrong. I've tried different locations and still get the same mediocre experience. One time the Korean cauliflower was soggy, the next time it was burned. I've ordered the chicken potstickers at least 50 times. It's always been the same, but I got them last night and they were not good. The chicken had a strange texture and was bland. The potstickers fell apart as soon as you cut them in half. That has never happened before. I don't know if they intentionally changed the recipe, or if the person making them wasn't properly trained. If they changed the recipe, they should change it back. The wait staff also seems consistently understaffed. Twice I've waited so long for my check that I had to go to the hostess stand because my waiter or waitress was nowhere to be they've raised their prices far too much to serve mediocre food. I sat down to order a burger and fries at 1:50. The burger and fries arrive 25 minutes later. I asked for mustard and I'm waiting to eat..........It took 5 minutes for mustard....The food was fine. Altho it was very busy, packed and loud..we were able to find 2 seats at the bar right away which was perfect for just having dessert. We have dined at The Cheesecake Factory many times and have consistently had positive experiences--until this visit at the Oak Brook location. Our party of five was assigned to a server named Kara C., and the service was deeply uncomfortable and unprofessional from start to finish. She rolled her eyes when we explained why we only needed one menu, repeatedly stepped on my husband's and son's shoes throughout the meal, and appeared irritated when we disclosed food allergies and requested proper precautions. She also loudly accused my husband of taking a sip of my drink in order to charge us for a refill, making the exchange humiliating and unnecessary. Throughout the meal, she repeatedly attempted to remove plates that were clearly not finished and reached across the table in a rushed, intrusive manner, making us feel as though we were being pushed out. As an Asian family, the tone and treatment we received were particularly troubling and left us feeling unwelcome. This experience was completely out of line with the standards we expect from The Cheesecake Factory and stands in sharp contrast to the excellent service we've received at both the Oak Brook and Naperville locations in the past. We hope management takes this feedback seriously so future guests do not experience the same abhorrent treatment. read more
