This was my first time at Wild Bird, and while it's a bit tucked away, it's absolutely worth finding. I chose it because a friend and I were heading to a show and I wanted something on the healthier side for dinner--and it delivered. There are tons of great options, but I went with the market boneless protein plate. The variety of veggies alone makes it a win, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling heavy. But honestly, the highlight of the visit? Joe at the counter. He was super friendly from the start, and by chance, he ended up taking his break while we were eating outside. We got to chatting, and he completely elevated the experience. Just one of those people who's easy to talk to and makes you feel welcome right away. There was a bit of chaos from some... let's say very enthusiastic vocal warmups happening at the jazz club next door, which might make me rethink sitting on the patio next time. First time at Wildbird. Didn't know what to expect but I wanted to eat as cleanly as I can this week. The inside is very clean although plain. It felt like any fast casual spot. You order through a kiosk and get a number. The ordering process is very easy with photos so I just chose what I want with the substitutions I wanted all in the kiosk. You also get to choose up to 2 sauces. I ordered the Bonless Breast market plate and subbed kale salad for the rice. It looked really plain, but was actually really good. The chicken was not dry and had good flavor. The kale salad was very lightly dressed even without me asking them to do so. My favorite was the sweet potatoes, which were both soft on the inside crunchy and chip-like on the outside. Fantastic! The food came out in less then 10min. I would be back. I really liked my food. I arrived early in the complex for an appointment so I decided to grab dinner since I had time. I have never heard of Wildbird before, but since I have been trying to eat healthier options, I decided to try it out. I ordered at the kiosk and then went to find a seat. All of the tables were dirty with food crumbs, and the seat cushions on the bench were so filthy, full of stains. Honestly, they need to throw those cushions away! I opted to sit at the window area since it was the only clean option. About 5 min later the waiter walks from behind me and puts the plate down without saying a word and quickly walks away. I literally turned around as he walked away and yelled across the restaurant, "do you have a cup for water?!" and walked over to get it from him. I ordered the quarter bird with brussels sprouts and macaroni salad. The food was good. Not the best mac salad I have ever had, but good. I've recently discovered Wildbird and tbh the watermelon agua fresca is what got me at first- but the delicious food kept me coming back! If you check in and write a yelp review, you can get free chips and salsa which I asked you about but we didn't get that so I will get it on my next visit. I took the quarter leg plate to go and the person helping me was patient as I was barely thinking due to being post workout (it was intense). The wait wasn't super long and the person who gave me my food was very nice and helpful with the kind of salsa I wanted. The chicken was so so flavorful! I ordered pickup and I was essentially standing at the pickup, staring at the to go bag with my name on it (behind the counter), and nobody helped me for a long time. Ugh, this spot has definitely fallen off. Used to go here all the time for lunch at work and really enjoyed it. But after today, I don't think I'll ever go back. 1. I ordered online for pickup and arrived 25 mins later, and they hadn't even started cooking my food. They told me it would be 10 more minutes. I waited another 20 minutes before my food was ready. There was ONE other customer in there. 2. As I was waiting something was burning in the kitchen and the entire place was filled with smoke. 3. When I got back to my office and started eating, it became immediately apparent that my charred broccoli was uncooked and completely inedible. 4. The brussels sprouts were good, as usual, and chicken was decent but the salsa verde was exceedingly acidic with no other flavor, so I had to eat my chicken dry, making it pretty bland. I don't know if management changed but the people working here clearly don't care at all. With the service and food preparation this bad, it's no wonder this place was more empty than I've ever seen it. I can't imagine they'll be around much longer.
