Ordered my weapon. They kept telling me wait in the worst case 4-6 weeks. Tried to reach out to them at 6 weeks but no feedback. It's been 2 months now. Same story as others on here. Online showed in stock, so I purchased. Then they said they had to convert to Cali legal at their Arizona location. But come on, at least provide the customer with a tracking or estimated delivery. I'm looking into filing through my bank for a refund, as they told me if I cancel with them there's a 25% fee or something ridiculous like that. I will look into other laws they've broken and see what I need to do to file. read more

I have been waiting over 1.5 months for my order to ship. This is for a product that was "in stock" when I purchased it online. Upon my initial purchase, no shipment date was given. Near the 30 day mark I emailed to follow-up on the order. I received a response from Bryan Howes who indicated that the items were in stock but they are running a bit behind and will advise when the item ships. In that email he never provided an updated ship time or offer a refund for my purchase. I followed up twice since then asking for a refund with no response. I believe this business is in violation of 6 CFR Part 435, which requires that products order online are shipped within 30 days if no promised shipping date is provided. In addition, the seller must provide an opportunity to the buyer to cancel the order or an offer a full refund if that timeline cannot be met. As such I have disputed this transaction with my credit card company (most credit cards to not allow business to charge the full amount of the product prior to shipping). I have also filed complaints with the FTC, BBB, and AG. If the rationale for this business is that they are so busy that they can't provide adequate customer service then that is not the customer's problem. They need to make adjustments to their business model or don't take the hard earned money of customers. read more

I had the most pleasant experience while shopping at Wilde Built Tactical. I see some of the negative reviews and it really saddens my heart that people are not more understanding of the Covid-19 situation. California is already the most strict state for gun laws which does not make it easy for buyers or sellers. They use a company in Arizona to convert firearms to make them California compliant. If you do a simple google search you can see that they offer more California compliant firearms than any other gun store in the state. They offer items that you can literally not find anywhere else... and if you think about it, that's probably why they are so busy. You have Covid-19 panic buyers and now you have riot/ looter panic buyers that are swamping the market with sales. Sales are good for the stores but at the same time, it overwhelms them with first time buyers that do not know the process to purchasing a firearm in California. Gun stores are not Amazon... they do not offer "prime" free 2 day shipping, that is not how the Firearms Industry works. And if you are so scared of the current political unrest... maybe you should have bought a firearm BEFORE s**t hit the fan. You can't expect pre Covid delivery times during a GLOBAL pandemic. Maybe you should have been prepared BEFORE you were scared... Give them a break, they are doing their best to get firearms converted and out the doors as fast as possible. And remember, every time you send them an email/facebook message you are taking time away from them actually processing your order. I'm the idiot who shows up without an appointment BUT the store owner still made time to talk shop, exchange stories, and help me out with making a purchase. COVID 19 has disrupted the way businesses operate on every scale. WBT has done everything they can to adapt and continue to provide their services. Ordered my Bersa from them back in April, I had many questions, Bryan was very helpful during the process, answering questions at midnight via email, they gave me an estimated time of 2 months to get my gun in store but it arrived only after 3 weeks, I took my Firearm safety certificate there, everything went smooth, great people, great customer service. Things were very crazy for gun stores back in April all the way through July, unpredictable shipping times, shortage in ammo, background checks took forever, mine took like 14 days when in normal days it takes couple hours, so I understand why some people were mad but honestly, those issues were beyond WBT control. Well if you're reading this you're looking for a firearm or something related to firearms. They have a great selection and if they don't have it chances are they can get it. They have sales often and a knowledgeable staff. They also offer gunsmithing. I bought an AR that my local and usual FFL couldn't get a hold of. I'm probably going to buy another gun here soon. So I was over charged on a shotgun by $300. Wrote up a review and was contacted by Bryan the owner. He refunded $50 and begged me to remove the negative review and stated if I needed anything in the future to ask for him on my next purchase. So I found an upper and lower on Palmetto State Armory and wanted to ship it to Wild Built Tactical to make it California compliant. I asked for Bryan and it seems he totally forgot who I was and never got on the phone. I am the president of a prominent gun club in Southern California and I was looking for a reputable gun dealer for my members to do business with. Wild Built Tactical is definitely not the 1. Steer clear of this business and their false promises. They buy from Palmetto State Armory at a cheap price and do a huge markup, thats not passing the savings on to the consumer. That's being greedy. Before you even think about buying a weapon from them look up the same weapon on the Palmetto site and see for yourself just how much they are over charging you. Their guns are not actually in stock even if they say they are. They charged my account right away no problem, of course, yet my gun has been "awaiting fullfilment" for several weeks now. It is nice to have a gun website that is California specific as it is difficult enough to purchase a firearm. However its every frustrating to be waiting this long for a firearm to ship that their own website claims is "in stock" Another reviewer mentioned they buy their guns directly from Palmetto, after checking Palmetto's website it does appear they have almost all of the same firearms available as Wild Built Tactical does. I like this companies selection, however this is gonna be the last firearm I purchase from them, I've bought from other websites that have shipped much faster and actually do have the guns in stock. Reply to owner; if I am ordering from a California company and your website says "in stock" the average customer would assume "in stock" means at your california location where they ordered from. Outstanding experience throughout the entire process. Ordered my IWI Zion Z-15 on March 17th when one of their 'Friday Sales!' e-mails came out and went in to start the DROS process on April 4th! I was expecting to wait the whole 6 weeks after placing the order so I was ecstatic when I got the e-mail on March 31st instructing me to schedule my DROS appointment. Went in to start my DROS and got there a little early so I browsed around until it was my turn. They've got a great selection of firearms, accessories and magazines in-store so it's very difficult to fight the temptation to start grabbing things to slap onto your firearm or buying a whole other firearm. I swear those Daniel Defense rifles were calling my name but I had to look away for the sake of my bank account. The staff members were a pleasure to work with as well. I've purchased firearms before from other retailers and I've always felt like the DROS process took forever but with the new digital system in place it went by in the blink of an eye. When I came in to pick up my rifle, Ian was once again very helpful. I asked him which generation MagLock my rifle came with so I could order the KingPin or Hyperswitch when I got home but he saved me time and money by informing me it was KingPin compatible and offered to sell me one and install it at no additional charge. He even installed the MagPul Enhanced Trigger Guard and BAD Lever for me at no additional charge. Overall, I'd rate these guys an 11 out of 10. At other places, you feel like just another face in the crowd. At Wilde Built, they're so friendly and courteous that it felt like it was a life-long friend behind that counter assisting me. I was on a hunt for an AR-10. Did a quick Google search for AR-xx in San Diego. They are the first to pop up, there is a reason too. Wilde Built Tactical is actually very knowledgeable on AR-xx. This was going to be my first AR platform as I own a few different 1911s in my personal collection. I went in the first time asking for an AR-10 and was greeted by David. He was very knowledgeable about what I was looking for and gave me few suggestions/recommendations. At that time I was not ready to buy my rifle yet, they definitely were not pushy on trying to sell me one then and there. I told David that I will be coming back with a friend of mine for recommendations as he's ex-army. I came the second time with my friend and David help us out. I and my friend went back and forth on the AR-10 that I wanted and David was a great listener. Once again, I told David that I would be going home and not make any decisions at that point in time. I and my friend had a discussion on the AR-10 and he told me to look for a .308 barrel and not a 7.62, as the .308 is loaded with higher pressure. Then he asked me why I wanted an AR-10? Then suggested that I can pick up 2x AR-15 for the price of the 1x AR-10. It is opposite for the AR-15, so I followed my friend's advice and then research on a 5.56 barrel and not a .223 as the 5.56 will take both 5.56 NATO and .223 SAAMI rounds. The 5.56 NATO is loaded hotter, it has higher chamber pressure than the .223 SAAMI. After much research, I went with David's advice on the Springfield Armory Saint AR-15. This actually has a 5.56 barrel which I was looking for. I came in and purchased 2x Saints and 1x Walther P-22, the Walther is a 22LR handgun. I'm very happy with the Saint purchase as it's a very accurate rifle. I have yet to shoot my P-22 as I had to pick this up on another day. I was driving from San Clemente to La Mesa in the evening. Leaving my work at 3:30 and made it there 2 minutes before they were closing. Without any hassles of it being closing time. Brian helped me out with my firearm and was there later that store hour. They went out of there way to get my P-22 in my hands that evening. Did I mention, they were the least expensive on my AR-15. This is due to Commiefornia new featureless guns laws. When I was shopping around, I couldn't figure out why all the ARs were more expensive than MSRP. I soon figured out that everyone is marking up the firearm, as they have to make it featureless or have a magazine lock options so your firearm will be legal in CA. I'm confident that they will get you the right featureless or mag lock, I suggest featureless. I would definitely recommend Wilde Built Tactical if you're looking to purchase an AR-xx style rifle or any other firearms. read more

Not sure what the issue is, but I drove quite a ways to see this shop for myself based on reviews. Shop is small and I stood there patiently waiting my turn while I listened to a customer who was leaving and the employee talk shop about their guns. Meanwhile I'm waiting to buy 2 guns. My turn finally and I ask about both the mossberg 500 and the glock 19. Was told to email the model number of the mossberg I want to buy because there are so many different variations. Fair enough. I get home, I email a day later with my model numbers. That was 2 and a half weeks ago. And not even a response from the company. Email is correct because it came from the business card he handed me. I have been a regular customer of three local firearms dealers in the SD area but had not heard of Wilde Built until last week. I recently purchased a new M&P 10 from one of the better advertised local firearms dealers (starts with a "T"). Unfortunately, the brand-new firearm immediately failed when the detent pin on the take down slid out and ejected. My call to the seller was met with "You have to send it back to S&W.", who in turn advised me this simple repair would be at least a six-week turnaround. On a whim, last week I walked into Wilde Built Tactical unannounced, having never been a customer of theirs, and was greeted in the friendliest, most helpful manner I have experienced as a gun owner. The owner immediately offered to fix the lower, took it to the back and handed it back to me in perfect order in less than five minutes! I offered to pay for the service, but they insisted they would not take payment and they were happy to assist. Wilde Built Tactical is a small, growing shop. In terms of floor area, this store is miniscule compared to other gun dealers. However, it seems their focus is on custom builds and personal service. Not much floor area is needed for that. I believe they will order any make, model or caliber gun for you that is currently available in California. I purchased some 10mm ammo from them recently, and that caliber is hard to find. This store deserves consideration if you are in the market for a new firearm, or need some custom work done on one of your pieces. They are located on Jackson Drive, just north of the Fletcher Parkway intersection. A bit hard to find, above street grade in a somewhat ordinary strip center. My review is pretty much based on the same results as some of the others who had ordered a gun, and never received it. So I actually ordered the shotgun prior to the whole COVID-19 BS, it said it was in stock at the time, and I patiently waited for about a month before I finally contacted WBT to see what the hold up was. They said again, your shotgun is in stock, but we are very behind with orders, and it will ship soon. At no point could he tell me a time frame of when it would ship or when I would receive it. After another month, and 2 more follow up emails, or online chats, they told me my shotgun was out of stock, and they should be getting a shipment soon, but didn't have a time frame on when that would be. I cancelled my order finally, and wish I would have just walked into ammo bros, and picked one up there. I don't care how busy a business is, they should never over promise if they know they cannot fulfill the order. Very unprofessional, and I will never place another order with them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. read more

I ordered my weapon almost two months ago. When I placed order online .. it said in stock and I added to the cart. I read the fine print stating it could take up to four weeks. After four weeks i attempted to call the store during business hours and no one picked up. I emailed Wilde and they responded a week later. The reply was that weapon is always delayed and would you like to pick a different weapon? I replied back with a different weapon (rifle) and still waiting for a reply! if you don't have a product in stock, then why are you selling it? If I would of known this information, I definitely would of not have purchased here. I'm trying to be as understanding as possible considering the current events in our country that may be causing delays but I Purchased my order online back on April 8, 2020 listed as in stock. it's going on almost 3 months now and have not received my rifle. I've reached out to wild built multiple times on Facebook, sales email and Instagram and have gotten no response other than an automated reply stating thank you and that someone will respond soon and no one ever does.
