Came here with wife on a Friday night at 8 pm since one of the few places closing late for dinner. Parking lot was full and when we came in, hostess asked if we had a reservation which we didn't. Comes by often to check on you. My wife ordered the clam chowder along with a Cobb salad. They brought the wrong soup- French onion. Though the gentleman said that was on the tv screen on the order, he was more willing to exchange which they did. My burger is made to order so I asked for well done. Outside was cooked but inside there was clear pink in the center. My guess my burger was cooked in high heat and didn't cook all the way through. Always ordered well done on my burger at WF and there's always pink in the center. Minor issue but one I notice. Still, 5 stars for a nice sit down place in that neck of the woods read more

The food was a legit 10/10. We first ordered the lamb lollipops, which was my first time trying lamb, it was good, nicely seasoned. My husband says it was the best he's had in the States. I ordered the seafood pasta, and was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, no gooey feeling, the sauce was cheesy but not overpowering, tomato-ey but just enough. Squeezed the lemons n over top and The pasta had the perfect amount of sauce (I like sauce and I hate when the pasta is dry). The capers added a nice touch. My husband ordered a classic burger with added avocado and Thai aioli and garlic fries. The burger was a nice size, he loved everything but the pickle (he doesn't like pickles). The garlic fries had a garlic ginger slaw overtop the fries. For drinks we ordered a Shirley temple (we do NOT drink alcohol). It was really good, super crispy and sweet just like I like it. The service was good, no mistakes and the server was nice. We tipped well. The ambiance was ok, I'd prefer less televisions but that wasn't too much of a problem for us. They have upbeat music playing and the employees have smiles on their faces. We ordered the melted mushroom brie (5/5) as an appetizer. It was delicious! The food is just always so bland. Not a fan of the restaurant after my most recent experience. We got the fire serves rib eye, the vegetables it came with their roasted potatoes and sautéd bell peppers with two slices of zucchini and literally one sliced mushroom. This steak didn't taste like anything except the oil they splash on before the torch light hits it. It was dissatisfying, Admittedly if the steak came out lit with fire (as anticipated) it would have at least looked cool. The second dish we ordered was the braised beef. The meat was very tender and the shaved was flavorful. This plate was served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. This order was a better choice, we both enjoyed it. I had such a great experience here. I ordered the shrimp pasta and it was honestly amazing. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the pasta had so much flavor. Everything tasted fresh and the portion was really good too. But what really made the night special was the service from Kai. My mom normally does not like going out to eat and prefers staying home, but Kai made the whole experience so comfortable and enjoyable for her. He was very kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Because of him, my mom actually said she would come back again, which says a lot. Great food and even better service. This amazing place is the hidden gem we come to every time we are in Modesto, for numerous reasons and it's hard to know where to start. The food is unique, delicious, hearty, and tastes like someone put great care and wisdom into creating flavor profiles. The ambiance is beautiful, I love the dark, moody, fiery decor and it feels like someone went the extra step on creative aesthetic design. Almost like a movie set! Love it. What elevates it even more is the amazing staff. They are extremely competent and efficient and professional and friendly. In particular, we have received stellar, amazing service from Liz. She is a star. She didn't blink twice at my kind of extensive dietary requests (I was doing an all raw cleanse) and she and the awesome kitchen staff (thank you guys so much) on more than one occasion whipped up a bespoke meal for me that was absolutely perfect. We came to Wildfire for lunch while returning to the Bay Area from Visalia. Its a nondescript building from the outside near a residential area. Inside, its a dark, but lively sports bar with plenty of booth seating. Nowhere near as loud or packed as Doghouse Grill in Fresno. The food and service were both great. Their fire chicken wings were so good we got another order to go for dinner. Well-seasoned, moist meat and smoky. The other solid dish is the mushroom pizza. Our son wasn't a fan of the kid's chicken tenders, so that turned into our appetizer. He, like most kids, loved the crispy french fries. The Alfredo Penne Pasta was good for us, but a bit too rich and heavy for our son. Definitely would return again if visiting the area. They seem to have a pretty good drink menu and the food here is legit. Those wings are definitely top-tier. read more

My friend and I both ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo and were disappointed. Maybe it's just me, but I expect fettuccini noodles, hence the name, but this dish was served with penne pasta, sparse Alfredo sauce, so it made it more "sticky" and dry. The waitress, though very nice, rarely came to our table and even then, didn't offer refills on our wine and water. Instead. she asked twice if we were ready for our check, which we weren't, but left anyway. The inside is nice and clean, but nothing welcoming to make us want to go back. read more

This is one of those "will travel for food" places. Love dining with a group because we can order more shareable options. Got a chance to try the Brussels sprouts, one of the asparagus cigars, a piece of the giant pretzel, one of the wings. All were delicious! For my lunch order I got the house salad and a pizza to share with the group. Both the bacon and pickle, as well as the Italiano were so good! I was able to bring the leftovers home and hubby loved it too. I shared my s'mores dessert, it was yummy!!!
