Wildflower Cafe's coffee is the opposite--it's fresh, flavorful, and robust. I also love that they serve it in clear glasses. I fell in love with the crepe on their Sunday brunch menu. For some reason the French toast price was not "correct" and the waitress informed us it was $2.00 more than the listed price. I honestly thought it was a rip off for the price. For $14.00 it was just a small fluffy French toast thing. While it was unique I think $10-12 is a more reasonable price. It honestly reminded me more of coffee cake than it did French toast. The grits are delicious and very creamy. It honestly reminds me more of mashed potatoes, which is fantastic. The prices seemed rather high for the portion sizes. This place was extremely cute and had a well thought out menu! I got a pomegranate Mamosa and the French toast sampler, (which isn't really a sampler - just French toast, eggs, and a meat choice meat) which was delicious! For the meat, I went with the turkey sausage. Normally I wouldn't pick sausage but this was really good. We waited for a few minutes for an outside table, because we brought our dog. The server/host who helped us was super friendly and our waitress was also really great. You could easily miss this place when driving by because it's in a building with a few different stores but if you're in the area I definitely recommend checking it out. On the menu there were a lot of great options in terms of beverages, what I would love to try next time is the white peach tea. There was a watermelon Mamosa (my friend got this and it did take a few minutes to make but it was really yummy and after you decide you decide if like it you can just go ahead and put in your second). For Valentines weekend they had crab cake eggs benedict, which is my favorite, so I couldn't resist. I wasn't disappointed! They had a good amount of crab, and were seasoned quite well. They were served with plum tomatoes and asparagus, which balanced out the heaviness of the crab cakes perfectly. I also enjoyed the grits; they were thick and creamy. I really appreciate the care they take in plating all their dishes. Everything looks and tastes very fresh. My husband ordered the French toast sampler, so I did get to try some since we always swap plates halfway through. It was very good, and I plan to order it on my next visit, but probably on its own. I've been to this quaint ladies-day-out cafe two times in two weeks. Lovely both times. The first time I tried the Vegetarian Tomato Basil Bisque which I found to have an unpleasant raw taste to the tomatoes. I ordered the Handcrafted Roast Beef with boursin and vidalia onion jam served on warm naan with leaf lettuce and garden tomato which was delicious. The second time I stopped in I enjoyed the Santa Fe ovengold turkey breast, melted pepperjack, applewood smoked bacon, garden tomato, tropical fruit salsa and greens tucked in a sun-dried tomato tortilla with a side kale salad. This sandwich was delightful too. The kale salad appeared to be topped with store-bought julienned carrots. The fresh fruit side would have been a better choice I'm sure. Each friend ordered the quiche with a side of fruit and loved it. They have breakfast and a weekend brunch available too. The mimosas are tempting for sure. The service is laid back and everyone is extremely friendly. The tables are cute with a little vase of flowers on the table (they look real!). You can choose either inside or outside dining. You sign the register at the hostess station upon ariving and there is seating available while you wait for your table; be sure to go look in the little bakery in the back with greeting cards, small gifts and prepared food to purchase, too. The parking lot is an easy in and out. Watch for the cafe though because it is easy to miss the first time. And I have to mention the ladies room. So cute! My husband and I travel to the Clearwater area every year. The last three years, we have eaten at the Wildflower Cafe multiple times during each trip for breakfast. This morning when we visited, we didn't realize that the cafe opens at 8:30 on Sundays rather than 8:00 like the other days. We walked in at 8:10 with our 9 month old.
