The oysters were warm despite being on ice. Two were barely enough to eat anything.

We only ate here bc of proximity to coming right off the beach. The food is bland. The grouper grilled shrimp and oyster. Bland. They had a nice side salad and broccoli and corn which made it healthy at least. The service. Oh my. Linda. She is not friendly. I tried to order drinks and apps and she pushed getting dinner. She was rushing me that I almost forgot to order the bland oysters and gross BBQ barely cooked bacon wrapped scallops. When I tried to back up to order the apps. She literally yelled. Are you not going to order your kids entrees? Like accusing me of child abuse. The table next to us looked up. Then when I tried to order my son's dish w sides. She kept insisting / yelling w wide eyes. It only comes w fries. And I explained I'm not ordering the basket of shrimp. I'm ordering the entree. When she finally listened. She apologized and realized how rude she was coming across. Probably bc both my husband and kids as well as the other table had awkward shocked looks on our faces. She was much more pleasant after that. I tried not to take offense. Maybe the fan was distracting her from listening as it was blowing us out of the restaurant. The fan was on so high w the AC that everyone was freezing bc we came from the beach w wet bathing suits under our clothes. The kids kept going outside to warm up while we dove for our napkins and other items that flew off the table every min from the hurricane winds. I mean fan. We asked if they could turn it down or off and they said the other table wouldn't approve which was funny bc their child was wearing a hoodie and had to also go outside to warm up complaining loudly he didn't want to eat his chicken. He was too cold. Clearly they would have not wanted that fam off. They also are child abusers like us. I'm leaving detailed of a review bc I want a reminder that $160 later for a family of 4 isn't worth this and to not repeat this mistake bc we visit this beach often. Definitely walk farther.

Stayed in IRB for the week and wanted a fried seafood platter. Stopped by here. Parking on front for free, which was limited, and then on the side there is paid street parking. We were seated immediately. Due to the size of the place we were right next to the kitchen window and the aisle where everyone walks. Didn't love that but there weren't many options for seating. They only offer Pepsi products. There appeared to be only two waitresses for the restaurant this night and they were very busy so service was not great. Basically order was taken and food delivered and no check in for refills or anything else. I ordered a cup of the crab and corn chowder. The flavor was good but this was definitely a corn chowder. I did not taste or see any crab. I'm from Maryland so this was disappointing. For my entree I ordered the shrimp and scallop platter from the entrees. Basic fried food with no seasoning. Fries were very basic, also no seasoning. Would not come back or recommend unfortunately.

This place is located on the side of a strip location with other businesses. There is Outdoor seating with no view, but has a cute area with fans and misters. Super close to the beach if you need a bite or drink while hanging at the beach. Cute Surfboard tables and decor. The menu offers multiple Sandwiches, and alot of fish options from nuggets to sandwiches to platters/dinners We enjoyed: Strawberry Margarita on rocks and the Cajun gator bites

The food and drinks were very reasonably priced. The servers were friendly and proactive. The restaurant overall was a great vibe. The crab cakes were the best I've had in a very long time, and very inexpensive. The first night was so god, we went back again the next day. The shrimp tacos were phenomenal and also inexpensive. If you're looking for a great place, good vibe, and fairly priced... this is the perfect choice. We were celebrating my birthday and the fried Oreo cake was amazing. Big enough for a party of 9 to share!

A fun little place in IRB on Gulf Blvd. We stopped in for an early dinner and were able to be seating right away in the back bar. Even though we're in our early 60's it seemed like we were the youngest people there. The server was awesome and waited on us immediately. They have a decent selection of beers and a full bar. They state that all of their drinks are made: "with a wine base liquor is a fermented beverage flavored to mimic the taste of a traditional distilled spirit". Sounded intereting but wasn't willing to spend the money to just try it. I did try the Grouper Philly sandwich which was very good. I'm always on a quest to try Grouper served a different way and they did a great job. My wife ordered the Grouper Rueben and also liked it very much. We both ordered hush puppies and would agree with a another reviewer that they had good flavor but were very dense. All in all not a bad place and my only reason for not doing 5 stars is the back bar was super small and I felt like our neighbors were sitting super close. Despite that we'd go back and try the front dining room. Good food.

Excellent restaurant! My parents and I come here every year for dinner. The service is always fantastic. I highly recommend the frozen strawberry margarita! The fish is yummy too. A great place!

Perfect spot for lunch when you have a beach day. Stopped in for shrimp tacos and they were delicious. Service was great and food was really good. Highly recommend for lunch or a cocktail while on a beach day.

Exactly what you would want out of a beachside restaurant. Small, casual, charming, with friendly staff & solid food. Had great kids chicken tenders (we kept snacking off of them too), good French fries & great grouper tacos. Will definitely be back.

This place is not to be missed if you are on gulf boulevard . Grouper sandwich is probably one of the bests I've ever had .. crunchy coating and a thick juicy piece of grouper .. grouper tacos are spicy and they are not stingy with the grill grouper either . Royal reds .. steamed or cold .. I prefer cold .. large size ones too . Highly recommend and ask for Val she is awesome .

This is such a fun beachy bar and restaurant. The service was excellent and the food came out quickly and hot. There is a small, friendly bar and a bunch of surfboard tables We had oysters, grouper cheeks, bacon wrapped shrimp, and a grouper dinner. All of our food was well prepared and tasty. There is parking right out in front.

Fast, fresh, affordable, right next to the beach. Worked well for our family. Drinks are great and cheap.

They offered several Blue Bell ice cream flavors, including a few I'd never seen before. As soon as I spotted the Banana Cream Pie flavor, I knew exactly what I was getting. Served in a fresh waffle cone, it was absolutely delicious! The creamy banana ice cream with pieces of vanilla wafer throughout tasted just like the classic dessert. In fact, it was so good that we came back the very next night...and I ordered the exact same thing again! The staff was incredibly friendly and worked nonstop. Despite a steady line of customers and what seemed like over a dozen to-go orders, they kept everything moving with a smile. There's something special about finding a small, local spot like this. Great ice cream, friendly service, and a relaxed roadside atmosphere made it the perfect place to end our evenings. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area! I snapped zero pictures. I guess I was too excited for my ice cream!

Broke N Bored - Name Checks Out…read more We visited Broke N Bored with a group of 6 adults and 3 kids, and after nearly 2 hours waiting for our food, I can confirm the "Bored" part of the name is extremely accurate. I spent most of the meal wondering if the "Broke" part referred to the stove. When we arrived, there was only one other family in the restaurant, so naturally we expected a reasonable wait. Instead, we had enough time to watch the tides change, discuss our retirement plans, and nearly raise the children to adulthood before the entrees arrived. To start things off, we were encouraged to sit outside in the blazing Florida sun. With three little kids, that wasn't happening. The staff did move us inside, but seemed less than thrilled about it. Considering how long we ended up waiting, sitting outside would've turned us into SpongeBob from his out of water movie. Appetizers: * The PB&J Brussels sprouts were fantastic. Unique, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered. * The seared tuna was very good. * The calamari tasted good, but apparently calamari prices must be through the roof because there were more fried banana peppers than actual squid. Service: The waitresses were friendly, but drink refills and table check-ins could have been much better. During a two-hour dining experience, hydration becomes a survival issue. Entrees: * The mahi was excellent. * The "pineapple slaw" had about as much pineapple flavor as a bag of plain cabbage. Just call it slaw and save everyone's expectations. * The crab cakes were mediocre and thinner than Slender Man. * The Caesar chicken wrap was okay, but I had to conduct an archaeological dig through the lettuce to locate the chicken. * Fries were fine. * The chicken caprese was decent if you got a bite with everything together, but the chicken itself was chewy and lacking flavor. * Mashed potatoes were dry. * Pulled pork was okay, but nothing memorable. * The Black & Blue burger was decent. By the time our entrees arrived, nobody had the patience left for dessert, so we skipped it. One final note: a restaurant this size having only two high chairs is a bold strategy for a family-friendly beach area. Overall, there were a few genuinely good menu items, especially the Brussel sprouts and mahi, and the staff was pleasant. But waiting almost two hours for food in a restaurant that wasn't busy overshadows nearly everything else. The food was mostly decent. The experience? Long enough to make the restaurant's name feel less like branding and more like a warning.
