The Wildflower Bread Company is not unique to Prescott. Rather - as of the date of writing this review - there are eight other locations across Arizona. This Wildflower Bread Company location is located in the Prescott Gateway Mall, across from the Barnes and Noble Bookstore. If you are not familiar with ordering from this restaurant, you will initially find its system unique. Firstly, you must order from the counter. You may expect to wait a few minutes, depending on the day - with waits being most prevalent during weekends - and time - with busiest hours during common mealtimes. After you place your order at the counter, you are given a color coded placard that you are to place on your table (as opposed to a numbered placard). To this date, I'm not quite sure how the wait staff knows exactly what table to deliver food to. Nonetheless, food is delivered expediently. Breakfast generally attracts a greater crowd than other mealtimes. Breakfast is served on weekdays until 10:30 AM. On weekends, breakfast is served until 2 PM. For breakfast, I recommend any of the following: "Honey-Cured Ham & Brie Frittata," "Sausage & Egg Sandwich," or the "Banana Walnut Pancakes." Of these entrees, expect sides of "Wildflower Home Fries," which are essentially potatoes, and buttered toast with the Honey-Cured Ham & Brie Frittata. The other two meals I recommend come with no sides. For lunch, I recommend the "Wildflower Grilled Cheese." This isn't your ordinary grilled cheese sandwich, as it has swiss, brie, cheddar, arugula, and tomato. You can also opt for a regular grilled cheese sandwich. Dinner is okay. When going for dinner, I recommend the "Linguini with White Clam Sauce." And for $2.00 more, I recommend that you add the Portobello Mushrooms! The ambience consists of soft lighting. Seating is a mix of booths and tables. You will find a collection of reading material about 15 feet in front of the cash register area (national and local newspapers). Prices are very affordable, with breakfast ranging from about $4 to $6. The Wildflower Grilled Cheese is $5.89. And for dinner, the Linguini with White Clam Sauce is $9.78 (with the added mushrooms, of course :-)). There are also baked goods, with assortments of breads, pies, and cookies. Service is very good. And I have found takeout to be particularly reliable. In fact, there is a dedicated parking spot for takeout orders - which I have found useful when parking, near the establishment, was scarce. My only complaint is that the food seems a bit mass-produced. Additional Notes: - Free wireless internet is available. - When dining-in, I usually tip at the tip jar, not at the table. read more

The arugula chopped salad with either salmon or chicken is beyond amazing. Usually arugula is too wet or hard to eat. This salad comes with dry chopped arugula which is perfect. It looks so beautiful when it comes to your table but dig in and enjoy all the layers of flavors. Worth the wait to get in! read more

Come here semi-often when on business. It's an easy reliable place to go where you can have a custom order to ensure you're being healthy. You can go on their website and customize what you've eaten to see exactly how many calories/macros you have had. Today in particular I am incredibly pleased. Due to traffic I was 15 minutes late for breakfast. When I explained that as a vegetarian I would be very hungry eating a salad for breakfast they made an exception for me! My wife and I had a lovely lunch at the Wildflower Bread Company in Prescott, AZ. However, they only allow criminals to carry weapons into the restaurant. Hence, we law-abiding patrons were potential disarmed victims, at the mercy of anyone with evil intent. Wild Flower Bread Company has so many nice entrees to choose from. I loved that you can get a soup and sandwich. I thought when it said a cup of soup it meant a cup. They give you a very generous serving in a bowl. Quality ingredients in everything my husband and I have had. We have taken family here and they were pleased that there were choices that were either vegetarian or for those who choose otherwise. The only thing that I would like would be, if breakfast were served on weekdays past 10:30am, until maybe 1:00 -2:00pm. and weekends until 2:00pm as well. I've been eating here ever since they opened and honestly I've never had a bad experience. The service is 99% of the time very fast and always friendly. Everything is delicious and fresh, and I appreciate their efforts to offer meats raised without hormones on the menu. Judging by the constantly bustling atmosphere, I'm not the only diner in Prescott willing to pay a little more for healthy, high-quality food. The breads and desserts are simply out of this world, any chocolate lover has simply got to try the chocolate cake. Delicious soups, sandwiches, salads and pasta in the afternoons. Plus, they offer wonderful seasonal menu items to keep things interesting. Personal favorites are the turkey breast and brie sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich on a fresh croissant. My boyfriend and I absolutely love wildflower. No matter what we get it's delicious. I ordered a Caesar salad and was unaware there were mushrooms and the girl (makayla I believe) asked me if I was sure I wanted mushrooms in my salad. She basically saved me. Well it looks like one of our favorite places has been going down hill in the past 2 months. Our last visit we were presented with sloppily assembled sandwiches with runny dressing and greens just thrown together. My wife ordered the sweet potato/fig jam sandwich with Brie came instead with Blu or Feta cheese, and the fig jam is not the same one they have used for years since it was disgustingly sweet and watery. The staff no longer resembles the sharply dressed staff of earlier in the year but instead walk around in uniforms more fitting for a greasy spoon, i.e., ratty looking jeans and t-shirts that apparently are supposed to look more hipster but instead look like second hand store chic. The coffee station was dirty with spilled coffee and sugar, and presenting only one carafe of regular coffee. Worse, one of the servers was standing leaning against it sipping her own drink, apparently unaware that there was work to be done within inches of her. I encountered the cook who prepared our sandwich in the bathroom and noticed he washed his hands for a mere five to ten seconds before returning to the kitchen. Disgusting. It was noticeable immediately upon entering that either management or ownership has changed, because there was nothing attractive about the food, the staff or customer service that would cause me to return even as they prepare to open their new facility in several months. After frequenting the Wildflower since they opened in their current location, I doubt that we will return anytime soon. By the way, my suspicions about the management were confirmed by one of the long time staff. Sad to see one of our go-to places go downhill. read more

My food was good, but the service is where this place lacked. I placed my order with a older gentleman who was possibly a manager and he wasn't friendly at the least bit. I saw a few other guys in Wildflower dress shirts, so maybe the service was poor because he was stretched between training new employees and his colleagues. I ordered a specialty drink it was about 98% ice and non refillable and for the price I paid it was a rip off! Also not to mention NO military discount is given, but I saw a mall employee get a free drink how is that good policy? read more

We visit 1 to 2 times per week. Great food with very fresh ingredients. Wildflower is somewhere you can go to relax and also know the quality of food you are getting is outstanding. Was passing through Prescott in December and had to stop at the wildflower bread company as this is our new tradition. I had the Portobello Picnic sandwich and all I can say is awesome! I also had some sort of pumpkin soup, I can't remember the name, but this was also very delicious. Wildflower bread company makes Panera bread look like a joke. The restaurant also has a great atmosphere with a beautiful fireplace as a centerpiece. I'm very happy to have this restaurant has a choice when visiting the Prescott area. read more

I love to come here for breakfast or lunch when we are in Prescott. Food is good, nice atmosphere, good coffee. However,I would suggest some improvements to the chicken salad. To me and my wife, Wildflower Bread Company is as good as it gets. She can get vegan and gluten free soups (which she loves) and really nice salads. On the other hand, I get good hearty vegetarian soups and the best bread on the planet. These people REALLY know how to bake bread. First it is cooked GBD; golden brown and delicious. Second the crust on their breads (no matter what type) is thick and chewy. And finally the best for last. They have a caraway rye to die for! For the last 30 years I lived in CA where you could not find a good caraway rye for love or money. But here, it's like being back in Brooklyn. My favorite snack was always a slice of toasted caraway rye with butter and a glass of tea. I am so happy with this bread. I am also happy that this place is packed every time we come in for something to eat so maybe they will stay a while. So, awesome soup and even awesomer bread - what's not to like! read more

Bread was fresh, chicken salad had great flavor and fresh veggies and I had the potato cream cheese soup. It was okay, but I wasn't in love with it. Nothing wrong with the soup, just not my favorite. I have been lunching weekly at Wildflower for almost 4 years with a group of 4 to 6 friends. We were very excited for the new restaurant to open until we arrived and found that we had to hustle for tables to seat a party of 6. There are no large tables for groups. There used to be 2 tables at the old location that would seat 12 comfortably. Our group has sadly felt the need to limit our numbers and not include other local friends or visiting family due to the need to scavenge for tables designated for 2 or 4. read more
