After reading the many reviews about this salon and looking at their work, I was very excited to make an appointment! I inquired about the price of a cut + color over text with Ly; she responded in a timely manner and was very thorough during my consultation. Conveniently, the appointment she had available this month was perfect for me! Although, as the holidays are coming up, a week prior to my appointment I unfortunately had to change my service to a haircut only, and Ly was able to do that for me with no problem at all. When we first got to the area, it took a little time figuring out where the salon was exactly located as the previous salon's logo "Montage Hair Design" was still visible. However, "S & L Hair Studio" could be found on the salon's doors, for anyone that may have trouble! I also wanted to note that there are many parking spots behind the salon, so you won't have to worry about parking along the sidewalk. Once my appointment started, the nerves that I usually have at salons were definitely there, but they quickly went away after talking to Ly about what I'd like to do with my hair, as well as color services I'm thinking about doing in the future. She was very detailed and honest in explaining the pros and cons of all over color and balayage (especially since I still have permanent color in my hair from a service I had done 2 years ago). She made really great points for both and I gained further insight into what's best for my budget and my hair in the long run. Despite already being comfortable making conversation, I never felt awkward or pressured to talk in her chair, and that's something I really appreciated! Throughout the appointment, I also appreciated how Ly would let me know what her next steps were and her reasoning for doing them. In addition to that, she gave me very helpful tips for hair care, things I truly wasn't aware of prior to my appointment with her. I got a butterfly cut done with her and I cannot express enough how happy I am with my hair. My hair feels super light, bouncy, and voluminous all at the same time. This was such a relief as I've felt that my hair was weighing me down for a while now. Ly emphasized the importance of a round brush/round hairdryer brush for my haircut as well, but even without styling (it's been almost a week since my appointment), I absolutely love the way my hair looks. I talked to Niloo during the consultation and she walked me through my options, and we made a plan together. She ordered really good quality hair. After visiting the 2nd time in the Salon I can say that Sachie just don't know how to do the pura luxe treatment, I was there once describing my desire and it wasn't a success my hair was still curly in some area. Sachie offer a redo. About a month ago i went to Sachie again and this time she choose to tell me only at the day of treatment that because she need to use extra product she will charge me $50 cause she want to avoid a redo again, I totally understand of course as long as I'll get the result I wanted. After 30 min sitting with the heat I asked and mentioned to Sachie that on one side of my head I couldn't feel the heat and if it critical to the treatment. Now I know it is after reaching out to pura luxe customer service, After asking her it is all started, she acted like she don't understand but it didn't stop her from saying in clear and unclear way that she won't do a redo that it's maybe my hair, need to mention I did this treatment a few times before I arrived to sachie and never had to do a redo, I choose Sachie cause she is closer to my living area. Now.. One side of my head is straight and 2nd side is curly and have volume and it was the thing I wanted to get rid of..
