I came here for a mini nature getaway with my dog on Monday. This is such a beautiful location that is close to the water and provides all your camping outdoor needs. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to my requests during my stay. (super appreciate you guys!) I originally booked the riverside tent but as I arrived I noticed I was sandwiched in between two families with multiple children. Being solo with my dog was not an ideal situation for what I had envisioned for a relaxing night. Once I got to the sight I requested to switch tents if the option was available and the staff worked with me to relocate to a premium tent. It was a much better fit for me and helped make our stay perfect! It's super close to a walk-down area to the river and each tent has a designated picnic table and fire pit. I was able to purchase firewood through the woman that checked us in and they even delivered it to my site! Everyone staying at the campgrounds was friendly and respected the quiet time after 10 pm rule. It was a very chill stay and I will definitely be coming back soon with some friends. **I will note that most people that booked the riverside tents were families with children. It's possible it was a coincidence during the night I stayed but want to flag to anyone this could be helpful to. read more

Late review from our first visit here last August 2021. We stayed here from Wednesday to Friday so as we were checking out, I knew there were more people checking in and it's a popular spot. We got the standard 2 queen beds and since we were with another family, we were able to request the week of if we can be next to them. Yes the tents are close next to each other. You can hear other people's conversation if you're trying to listen but if you're having fun, you won't really mind them. We had to park walking distance from our tent which was a bummer but doable. Expect kids here. It's glamping! Maybe I'm speaking from a parent's perspective but camping is fun. Kids like camping. If there are kids, expect that there might be crying daytime or night time. If you want an adult glamping experience, maybe go another time or go backpacking. Facilities are well maintained. What we really like about this place is having an access to the Russian River. We went when it was really hot so that cold river was much appreciated. I could see it getting crowded on weekends but you can walk down more to find more space. We got to our spot pretty early and pretty much stayed there the whole day. They have picnic areas right by the gate into the river. We had lunch there and went back into the river. Oh yea the bed was comfortable. More comfortable than hotel beds. We had great sleep coz it was nice and warm in our tent. We're coming back this summer. read more

Absolutely terrible place to get away from a noisy city. DO NOT COME HERE if you want to rest and sleep well. This is right on a busy road and it echoes the cars until they finally pass. It feels like you're right on the road. If your VERY close neighbors are respectful of the 10pm noise rule you might get to sleep but then a motorcycle or loud truck will drive by. And not just one or two, every 2-3 minutes! There's so many kids! This is for families. The kids run around your tent and scream at 6:30-7am and nobody seems to care!? There are all kinds of birds that start squawking and pecking on your tent beams around 6am. I am so exhausted from my stay here. I will never EVER come back to this place. $200 a night to be tortured all night and morning!! So much for trying to get some peace and quiet coming from from a loud city. read more

Amazing experience! Took my 5 year old son and we both had a blast. Wonderful, knowledgeable staff who helped with all questions we had. The cabin was clean, comfortable and we didn't want to leave. This was our first time glamping and we kinda loved it. In your tent you get a nice comfy bed with a heated mattress, electricity, a fan and heater, fire pit and picnic table. They also have a nice community area with propane grills,showers, and bathrooms. You get private river access which we LOVED hanging out at the river and relaxing without a normal Russian river crowd. The staff are so nice and helpful and you even get texts for any information needed during your stay from weather to concerts at night which was nice because we were there during the recent storm. We had a blast,our dog Vader did great and we are already talking to family and friends about when we all go together. They do warn you about the street noise, it sits next to a semi busy road and you will have waves of traffic 24/7 but it didn't bother us but if you want complete silence at night or a light sleeper it's pretty loud at times. We did have a neighbor for a night that was noisy until around 11:30pm which was kind of annoying since it didn't seem like the quiet hours were being enforced but it wasn't anything too terrible. read more

This place wins the "close but not cigar" award. Our cabin was nice and comfortable; highly recommend the "riverside" locations since the rest are in an area that feels more like a crowded parking lot than the great outdoors. My biggest issue with this place is the inadequate bathrooms and showers. Not enough of them to accommodate the amount of people and missing any creature comforts associated with "glamping." Very bare bones. Not even a trash can in the shower area. Other challenge if this place is the location; the main beach area is directly under a major road. I was hoping for a more immersive nature experience at the gorgeous Russian river and less traffic noise. read more

Booked this with 4 other ppl for my gfs birthday, which worked out GREAT. Check In was great , Staff was very very nice and helpful . My gf was really surprised . First night was great few drinks and then we were told quite hour starts at 10pm - 8am ( Which i kinda understand but i Don't) 1. There's kids screaming which i know you can't help and dogs barking 2. I'm on vacation who in the HELL wants to go to bed at 10pm when they've been partying and drinking . So they have a larger tent a few feet from the other tents for ppl who want to continue talking and Etc. So my group of 6 head down there , One of the staff members started the fire for us so we could do our S'mores which i thought was nice, Another group came down and it was someone in their groups birthday as well, We weren't loud at all and we even had to run up to our tent a few times and you couldn't hear any noise coming from the "large Tent". night ended well & fun Well the night morning my gf and i go inside of the store they have on site and because we had on birthday necklaces they guy working for the store says" hey who's birthday , it cant be both of your birthday, my gf says "Oh its mines , and i love this place" Well he goes to say so you had the "large party down at the tent" we said there was only 6 of us he tells us he is sending a text to everyone to let them know they cant us the tent to hang out and etc , i was confused and very upset because what in the hell do you have a large tent for if we cant us it Sir. so the night hits and we end up going back to the tent so finish talking and were no lights, he told his staff do not cut any lights and also told his staff to call the police SMH! for as much money you pay for this places we cant get any lights. Loved our brief stay! Beautiful location by the river. Very comfortable, clean accommodations. Friendly staff. Firewood, ice, s'mores available for purchase. Fire pit, picnic bench and access to propane grills and grill utensils if needed (which we did:). We purchased the basic Queen, more affordable tent option and we were very happy given the price point. Something to be mindful of is that the property is right by a road and the less expensive tent options border the road. If you are sensitive to car noise you may want to upgrade to one of the riverside tents. Otherwise, I appreciate that the property is approachable and offers different access points. My daughter enjoyed the river and spent a good chunk of the day floating on an inner tube so pack your suits. Some beautiful walking trails nearby and also just ~10 minutes from the charming town of Healdsberg. One last thing to add after reading some other reviews, quiet hours start at 10pm and we were very grateful for this. We are all camping near each other and while I always appreciate meeting new people, occasionally there is a group who forgets that others may not like the same music and may have a different plan for their vacation (I.e., getting out in nature w family and friends vs. drinking excessively and forgetting about other people's comfort). This did not happen to us here but it did at another glamping destination but fortunately they too had quiet hours. Anyway, we really enjoyed our stay. We've stayed here for 2-nights, tent #32 to be precise, just to try it firsthand especially seeing the 5-star reviews and I may say, this place is not the 5-star quality but not that bad of a place. Being an outdoor family & doing what we love since our 2 girls are still babies until now that they're teens, I've seen much better glamping place. This is my first time staying in one that are so close to neighbors, it's just like I didn't getaway from home where our house sits next to another house close by because their tents are really close by. The only difference is that, our house walls are thicker and sound proofed, their tents are not. You will really hear everything. I even tried farting a little louder and the people outside just started giggling. They maximize their space which they taught that it's the right thing and the good thing to do business wise but it's not, it made this place a trailer park with glamping tents instead. (smh!) Even when we're using regular tents back then on our camping trips elsewhere, there still some ample place in between that you cannot hear your neighbor whispering. Anyhow, we've stayed and picked the river front, 2 Queen bed tent which Yelpers mostly advice, and for me is really the good choice. But, honestly, you don't really see any river up close, your views are trees and open space, meaning, you'll need to walk few meters away to get a glimpse of the river which I may say, not that bad. They did a great job closing the street in front, the street in front of our tent. It makes the space open, no car parked and a safe play area for kids and everyone else, an additional place to their open green lawn area for playing & relaxing. For beginners and first timers here, It is really the best area to pick. When you get out from your tent, no other tents or hindrances of any kind in front. Regarding the tents itself, I find it old & worn out including the tents indoor rug. The zippers are broken that's why you can't close it all the way. There are open spaces that bugs can come in which we encountered like mosquito, spiders, daddy long legs, earwigs and silverfish. No complaints for me because we're outdoors right? But hopefully they're gonna close all the small openings to deter them from coming in because my girls doesn't like bugs inside our sleeping areas even at home. Regarding the noise, yes, if you're a light sleeper kinda person, this place is not for you. You want to really relax in a wilderness environment, it's not for you either. They have free earplugs but it really doesn't work & help ease the noise from the on coming vehicles using the Alexander valley road. But for us, It's not an issue, we're just soundly asleep in the comfort of their bed & heated blankets. Nice! I'm just so sorry for others that are not used to this camping noise. Looking at the bright side, our 2 girls, wifey & I loves the bed & beddings. It is thick & not that hard but comfy & clean. Their pillows have bug protectors. Awesome! The place is gated, so, it's safe especially for family that have little kids. But of course, it's your responsibility to attend to your little ones safety & well-being. The restrooms & shower rooms are clean & well-maintained. There's hot & cold water. Great! If you don't want to use their BBQ / Bonfire pit for your food, there's 3 propane gas BBQ grills right next to the restrooms & shower rooms with picnic tables close to it. In conclusion, we enjoyed each other's company as always, our family bonding. I am glad that we've tried this place for us to write what we've really seen and experienced, but honestly speaking, we're not gonna return here again unless they'll gonna do some changes & remodeling. Because for me, maybe taking out atleast 2 tents in between will help make it a nice with a sense of privacy camping area but of course looking at the business side, it will cost them $$$ not earning some money for those tents that they'll gonna take out. About their rates, I find it still expensive being a trailer park type of glamping. If you really know what I'm saying, you just need to try this place. What a find!! I had never "glamped" before, so I figured wine country would be the best to try. Did not disappoint. The camp is a quick 5-7 mins from downtown Healdsburg. This town is full of tasting rooms, restaurants, bars, farmers market on Saturday. If you need any groceries for your cool at camp there is a big grocery store right there. The camp itself is super nice. I mean.. your camping but not really. They walked tents were nice, cute comfortable bed, night lights, plug in for your phones, hammock out front, picnic table and even a 1min walk down to the Russian River for a cool-off. Jordan winery and Flowers winery (big ones I had heard of) are practically your neighbors. No shortage of activity and fun. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's a no brainer. read more

This was my first time glamping with kids and what a treat it was at wildhaven Sonoma! First of all, being surrounded by the wineries of wine country is truly a dream. The property staff and team are truly so kind and lovely. We came after 6 pm so the check in process was sent to us and was so easy and straight forward. We got there and the kids cot was not set up. They had an after hours like and the team dropped it off shortly after at 8pm. The premium Tent was a nice set up with a good enough of space. I loved that the tents come with a fire pit in-front of each tent. There is communal bathrooms and a community kitchen which I can tell they really keep it clean and pristine. I will say with the tents did come with a space heater but we brought an extra one and I'm glad we did because the space heater in our tent was not that powerful. There is a cool waterfront area, Russian River where you typically can swim or run down but there was a warning for toxic algae which we instead just skipped rocks down the river. Honestly, the site is beautiful! The glamping staff provide from complimentary tea and coffee from 9-11 am. This is the perfect getaway in nature and wine country. I would 100% recommend! read more

We stayed this past weekend and couldn't be more happy. Staff was friendly and definitely kept the site on point. You would assume that paper towels or other supplies would run out, however not once did they. Red and the Host who checked us in was super nice. Since we booked a month + in advance they were able to get our tents next to each other. We're definitely planing on visiting again. Just a tip for future goers. Once you check in and get to your tent to remember to plug in the heater and mattress. On-site store definitely has the essentials for couples or older folks. Great spot! We got a one bed tent facing the riverside. All of the staff were so friendly, we met 6 staff, all so welcoming. We were cozy all night. My 17 yr old daughter came with my husband and I and she slept on a cot with a futon laid on top of it. The main bed was super comfortable. We made s'mores at the fire pit and cooked breakfast over the pit the next morning. The communal restrooms were clean. Their small local store has not many items but was nice, clean, and creative. My husband and I Glamp'd at Wildhaven from Friday 9/30-Sun 10/2, and we had a blast. I was worried about the freeway, kid noises, and tents being close by-- but it did not bother me at all (and I'm sensitive to noises). They provide really great earplugs and the only thing I heard was my husband's snoring-- but that's another story. If you're looking for absolute silence, this is not for you. Yes, you'll hear cars during the day and at night if you don't use the earplugs, and yes you may hear your neighboring tent here and there-- but you just have to come with an open mind and choose to have fun regardless or you can knit pick the little things and be a negative Nancy-- your choice. LOVE: The proactive communication from what to pack a week before you arrive to the day of text of arrival, I was so impressed!!!!! The friendly service, the very clean bathrooms/showers/sinks with warm water, the comfortable bed, the concert (NICK, YOURE AMAZING!!), wine tasting, the store (board games to borrow for family fun, water, swag, beer, wine, s'mores, cheese, water, gelato bars, etc), tube rentals (free air pump if you bring your own tube), you can buy ice &wood (~$13) on-site, easy access to the River to float down and hike back up on (highly recommend water shoes/sandals), how close Big Johns Market was and it had everything there, nearby hiking area, surrounded by wineries, and a casino a few minutes away if that's your jam. Minor Opportunities to make it even that much better: some sort of shelving/drawers in the tent, food lockers for coolers (apparently there's raccoons, but we left our cooler out-- no issue), enforce a no speaker usage (I swear this was a policy on the website, but no one enforced it)-- I didn't mind it, but there were some music selections with profanity and strong percussion that I can see how it would disrupt the whole area. Im not a fan of speakers in nature, but if someone played the guitar around the camp fire, I think that would be more acceptable. Other than that, our weekend was pretty epic. Thank you Wildhaven, we'll be back again. Two friends and I stayed a couple of nights while we attended a retreat at The Bishop's Ranch on the other side of Healdsburg. We came in late and left early each day so our experiences were just in tents and WC. We each had our own tent. I was the youngest of us at nearly 70, and the eldest nearly 80. Two of us are seasoned campers, the other pretty urban. It was wet and rainy so this was a real test of comfort! As soon as many reviews say, the tents are immaculately clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. Heated sleeping pads! Ample space. Nice details. We brought our own duvets and were glad of that. One thing... the space heater controls were confusing. The top button on mine with w little crescent moon is the on and off switch. I would stay here again if attending another retreat at the Ranch. What a lovely place to spend some much-needed time away. The property is beautiful, with access to the river, and privacy along the shore. Having access to hot showers, running water, and clean restrooms really adds to a positive experience. I was thrilled when my boyfriend took me here for a special occasion. He knows I love camping, but I'm such a wimp when it comes to being cold. Our tent came with its own firepit and heater, and the bed had a heated mattress, so we stayed cozy the whole time. I was surprised at how big and clean our tent was. The bathrooms (the worst part about "real" camping) were super clean and airy. Huge plus! The store was stocked with a nice variety of quality boutique food and drinks - as expected for Healdsburg :) There was such a wholesome vibe to the entire experience - the town, the river (steps from our tent), the hikes, and the sunsets - so romantic! Now is the perfect time to take a road trip down to Sonoma County to explore the town of Healdsburg. I was so excited when I heard about Wildhaven Sonoma, and could not wait to "glamp" for the first time. I am not your traditional type of camper and once I heard that glamping takes away the hassle of spending a night outdoors while keeping everything you love about nature I was eager to see how it would work. Not only is the location ideal since it's close to all of the local wineries, but it's also located right beside the Russian River. I never once felt unsafe here and enjoyed roaming the property. I ended up finding the other entrance to the river which is beautiful especially during the morning as the sun comes up. Everything was routinely cleaned and up to par with COVID-19 guidelines which was nice not to have to worry about. All of the amenities made me feel like I was in the comfort of my own home. Wish I could give it more stars but if you're looking for a nature retreat to recharge, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for some good social media posts then this is the place for you. I really wanna give this place a better review but the road noise killed it for me. The road was very close to the tents and it made it difficult to sleep at night. Way too much artificial noise. On a positive note: I did like the amenities. The beds were proper, the campsite was close to the creek as well as near driving distance if you needed groceries. The guided morning yoga and live music on a Saturday was a nice treat too. I had called the day prior to checking in to ask if we could come in early just to enjoy the river, and we were told we can come in at 1:30pm (check in hours started at 3pm). We were told that we would have a spot to park and everything prior to actually checking in so that we could spend time in the river, which I found was very convenient. We arrived around 2pm and was greeted at the kiosk by one of the staff members who provided us a very thorough and helpful orientation. I was pleasantly surprised to have been able to check in to our tent an entire hour early. The river, the staff, the tent and the amenities were amazing! My wife and I just spent two nights at Winterhaven. The Glamping was wonderful. Our tent, a premium queen was delightful and clean. There was a nice fan in it for the daytime warmth. At night when it got cold an electric radiator kept our tent warm. There is a rug filling the entire inside of the tent. each tent has a private picnic table as well as a small table on the tent deck with chairs. The campgrounds are kept very clean. maintenance personnel are constantly cleaning the trash cans and keeping the bathrooms and showers clean. Other campers observed the 10 PM to 8 AM quiet hours. Yes, there was noise from trucks roaring by after 4am. I am a light sleeper and it didn't bother me. They give out earplugs. The Russian River is very close. We went to the smaller wineries on their brochure and enjoyed them more than the large Dry Creek wineries. My wife and I would go back. read more

Loved loved loved it.... Can't say enough good things about the place. So beautiful and most importantly child friendly. Such nice and friendly ppl while we were making our reservations tried their best to help our families since we were more than three parties. Loved the proximity to Russian river the kids were in there the whole time. Very family friendly. There is a store there which gets your essential stuff but the town is not that far plenty of eating options in case you don't want to grill or bbq. We had a terrific time highly recommend this place. Try it won't be disappointed. read more

I am beyond impressed with this glamping site. The tents are roomy with comfortable beds, the bathrooms are clean and well stocked, and river access was so convenient. Best glamping spot I have ever been to and cannot recommend enough. We had a tent with a broken zipper which the very helpful and friendly staff tried to fix for us but it really just needed more than a quick fix. Parking was very convenient, right behind our tent. read more

We had the best time here! We had never been glamping before so we weren't fully sure what to expect but the experience was super comfortable and lovely. The heated blankets were amazing and the tents felt cozy and had any amenity you might need. The grounds are beautiful with access right to the Russian River. Had my first glamping experience at Wildhaven. I really enjoyed myself here! The tents were so spacious and cozy, and the bathrooms were very clean. Lots of families with their little ones glamping at the same time. I felt very safe and comfortable here. Downtown Healdsburg and wineries are also a short drive away. It was so nice and relaxing to BBQ, rest at our campsite, and then head into town for wine tasting and a nice dinner. This was one of my most favorite trips ever. I will definitely be back! Next time I would spring for a riverside tent - it's further away from the traffic noise, and you also get a hammock to relax in. read more

Nice clean cabins and restrooms/showers. The swimming hole is great for the little ones and there a small rapid just a bit upstream for those who want to enjoy a little current. The grounds are small, and there is some traffic noise, but super convenient and easy quick getaway if you just want to get out for a couple days. The host/hostesses we're great. Super cute/quaint property. Very friendly staff! My husband and I stayed here as a get away weekend from the kids. The heated bed, heater in the private tents setups made everything easy. It was pretty packed for being a cold January but still pretty quiet. The road is close but at some point in the trip the noise faded away. The bathrooms/showers were very clean. read more
