Water heater went out and contacted WillFixIT and was told they would be out today (1/10/18) late afternoon. Got a call from the tech at 3:30 pm cancelling for today because they were going to be at another call too late. Absolutely ridiculous and will never call them again. My A/C broke down about 1 month ago and i called will fix it for estimate. the tech that came to my home told me it was going to cost me $597.00 for 2 parts for my a/c that's normally around 11-15 dollars and that i NEEDED a WHOLE BRAND NEW SYSTEM and that was gonna cost me (get ready for this) $10,000 dollars, well i called 5 other companies sa specialists, airtegrity, cowboys, and an independent and got pretty much the same SCAM, then my wife called a BEAUTIFUL COMPANY called DILL MAK who was HONEST and CARING of their customers, well, they FIXED the problem and all it costed was $245.00, so, before you call will fix it or any other company i SUGGEST you call DILL MAK first. read more

My elderly grandmother contacted Will Fix It and she needed the hot and cold cartridge replaced on her kitchen faucet. The so called plumber replaced them but they were larger than the original cartridges and as a result he was unable to put back the handles. He convinced her that she could use her sink without the handles, he made it sound easy. What?! That is crazy! She could not use her sink without the handles. We've called the same day, 8/23 and made a complaint and have yet to receive a response. We are complaining to the Better Business Bureau!! read more

Overcharged for simple plumbing repair to toilets. Will not use again. Understand they work on commission. We are at fault as we agreed to the exorborate price, but felt the burn later when we found out paid too much. read more

Signed up for new HVAC system estimate at Home Depot. A Will Fix It salesperson came to the house to provide the estimate. The salesperson was very professional and very thorough. When I asked for a written estimate at the end, he stated that Home Depot did not allow them to provide a written estimate(hmm). So I asked him to at least give me the total cost for the new system and the SEER rating and he did. To me, It doesn't make any sense that they cannot provide a written estimate. As I'm getting several quotes from different companies, not having a written estimate makes it difficult for me to compare their estimate to other estimates as I don't know which model system they're quoting and what features the system offers. However, I have been able to receive a written estimate from three other companies, which allows me to see not only the SEER of each system, but the model as well. Not sure that I can trust a company that cannot provide a written estimate. Had I known they were not going to give me a written estimate, I would not have requested it to begin with. They wasted two hours of their and my time. Obviously transparency is not at the top of their list. read more

We recently had to replace our inside and outside unit after 20 years! We were given 2 quotes and decided to go with Will Fix it, they were able to get our unit installed a week faster than the other company and for August in Texas-we were very grateful-they even brought us a window unit to use until the install! The unit was replaced on the 5th of August and it tripped the breaker on 8/22-thinking that there is no way a company is going to come out on a Saturday evening after 8 pm, I decided to go ahead and call-the operator was awesome-she apologized and said she would get someone out that evening! Our technician Robert came out at 10:30 pm (we live in Canyon Lake and he was coming from San Antonio) was very nice, used gloves, mask, and booties. Turns out there was a defect to the breaker on the A/C, he did not have the parts on his truck, so he came out the next day (Sunday) replaced the breaker and the whip just to be sure we would have no other problems. He was so very nice and we appreciate how fast they took care of us!!!! So happy we went with this company!!! read more

What a joke. I wasn't smart enough to read the reviews for these people first. Don't make that mistake. Needed a plumber.... called these folks and set up an appointment for between 2-4. Finally made it at 6 to tell me that they could fix a problem leak in the mainline (PVC) waterline. I normally do these leaks myself and it takes me about two hours to dig it up and locate the leak and repair it, That's me doing it all and answering my phone and taking water breaks. I know he shot high so he wouldn't have to do it. $911. dollars .... what a joke. He was a plumber and it was the end of the day (6:00PM) and he was wearing black pants and tan casuals shoes and they looked like he had been sitting behind a desk all day. I was dirtier waiting for him than he was.Save your time time and money , these people are ripoffs and scam artist praying on the old and people who don't know better. My previous AC always cooled the house perfect but after 10 years my AC broke. I called to have complete a Carrier HVAC installed july 8, 2019 and today is July 19,2018 they have not been able to figure out why the AC can not cool the house down creating the AC to not turn off for 8 hours straight. It only turns off at night time. They do not stand behind their word. Multiple times they have about 6 different excuses ranging in the thermosat to attic issues. Again I reiterate the previous AC did everything we ever needed. I asked for a different product similar to last AC I had and they said this one would be better. It is absolutely horrible to have all this humidity in my house now and also it can never cool the house during the day plus I have ceiling fans in my rooms and it still does not matter. I have tried to be nice even providing the technician waters and food plus being polite then being more aggressive but nothing works. Recently asked to speak to the quality person in charge and that was 4 days ago.so far no response..felt like I have been robbed!!! read more

Terrible service, no integrity!! Called them on a Friday at 4 PM with an AC problem. Was told by Abigail that a tech would come to my home between 5-7 PM. Called again at 6:30 PM to verify that someone was coming. Was told that they were running behind but someone would indeed show up. Called again at 10:30 PM and received the same song and dance story. No one ever called, no one ever showed up. How this company garners an A+ rating on BBB is a mystery. I had a disposal replaced and never knew I could of been electrocuted, because the guy did not put the fitting where the wire goes into the disposal to keep it from wiggling. It was a home inspector that found this when I had my house up for sale. It is fixed now, but I will never do business with these guys again. read more

The ad online states 24 hr emergency service on plumbing problems, which doesn't seem quite true. My toilet was backed up and I called on a Sunday afternoon and they said they couldn't come out until the next day. If they do emergency plumbing work then I would think that a backed up toilet would constitute an emergency. Won't call them again. read more

Called after hours for a leak. Tech came and quoted me 1500 dollars and aid he would have to tear my wall apart and did not have the right tool or part on his truck so would have to come back the next day. "One of the worst ones I have seen". Called another company half hour later and the plumber fixed leak in 30 minutes for 340 dollars. Said that the tool and part are pretty standard on trucks. Poor Service from ARS Rescue Rooter (owned by Will Fix It). My toilet was leaking so much from the wall I had to turn off the water, I had my home insurance send over a plumber (the insurance company considered it an emergency). It took two days for the plumber to come out and it was at the end of the day when he did show up. I had to turn the water off an on for my children to bath or for us to cook or wash. So after the plumber arrives, he assess the leak and says this will not be covered, he seemed out of breath and shifty. After talking he talked insurance rep and he says they denied the job. He takes off before I can even get the insurance company on the phone. I call my Home Owner insurance talk with a rep and they tell me he can fix the leak, and get him on the phone. I told them he was out of here so fast it made your head spin. Insurance sent over another company they fixed it on the spot no questions. They said this is covered. If you need a plumber get a different company. I know never to call Will Fix It for anything. The plumber they sent gave them a bad first impression for their company. read more

After posting a 1-star review and having a negative experience, Will Fix It called me the following morning, investigated what I was promised relative to what I was told when the tech got there, and they then pledged to make it right. I am pleased to say, they did exactly that. When I first bought my home the AC digital thermostat on the wall said it was installed and serviced by Will Fix It. The unit wasn't working, so I called them to see if they could come look at it and give me an estimate. The technician came out and found a breaker had tripped. He flipped it on and handed me a bill for $80. Said that is standard no matter if they do any work at all. I asked if he could do a check-up and preventive maintenance on the unit since he was taking a lot of money for nothing. He said no, my unit didn't need it. Shame on them for taking advantage of a new home owner. I blame myself for not noticing the tripped breaker, but I just feel like they are scamming people for very little work. They are a big company that has gotten greedy and doesn't care about the customer. Sort of like the big law firms! Never again. read more

Our kitchen sink had a leak underneath. We identified it was the basket strainer device. I was going to replace it myself but instead called a plumber to do the job instead because I could not remove the lock around the basket strainer. I did not want to destroy my sink as it is only a couple years old. The plumber ended up showing up near the end of the time frame window to fix it. It ended up costing 30$ for the basket strainer (respectable). However the overall charge was 285$ to identify and replace the basket strainer leak(which I already identified). It took the plumber 30-35 minutes to complete the job. I'm not sure who determines the pricing but taking into account driving and service time, it cost 255 dollars for about an hour of the plumbers service which was probably one of the easiest jobs. I almost feel robbed. The one bright spot was the plumber came in and did his job professionally. I say go the extra mile and purchase a few tools and save yourself 80 % of the cost. read more

My elderly father had to have his leaking water heater replaced, so he bought one from Home Depot, who contracts with "Will Fix It" who then came to his home to install the water heater. The water heater cost him much less than what he paid for labor (1223.00) to have it installed. My father is on a fixed income, a disable veteran and terminally ill. It just floored me to know that "Will Fix It" would actually screw him for 1223.00 in labor fees. Carlos, the install technician was very rude and not at all helpful. But he did mention that it was Home Depot who charges that labor fee, and if we had called "Will Fix It" directly, we would have been charged twice the price. It just baffles me how these companies have the nerve to take advantage of the elderly. I have shared this story with family and friends and all have told me they would have never allowed this company to do the work, some have said they're crooks, some have said they are high priced in all they do and don't ever try to work with you on anything. I'm still upset and frustrated with this company and how they really screwed my dad in the work they did. I will say this though.....I share this story with everyone I know. Please beware of this company. What an awful experience! We needed our A/C serviced and scheduled were given a Monday appointment. Monday we received a call from the company to tell us a tech wasn't available and were rescheduled the following day. We were given a window for when to expect the tech and the window came and went so my husband called. The rude young woman on the phone disputed everything my husband told her and told us the tech had in fact been to our home and didn't have the part. My husband told her the tech lied and no person from their company showed up to our home and she implied it was my husband who was lying! My husband took time off work to be able to be home for the service that was never provided and had to endure being called a liar. They are not deserving of a single star and I hope this company loses customers by the drove due to the horrendous customer service they provide. Nightmare company. read more

Called on Wednesday and had setup an appointment for Thursday 10:00 a.m. at 2:15 p.m. got a call saying the tech was on an emergency call and would not make it out today and if i would like to reschedule for anytime after the following Tuesday. it would have been nice to get a call around 10:00 a.m. letting me know they could not make it that day instead of me wasting almost the entire day waiting at my rental property. this is not customer service at all. read more

Dishonest company I believe to be thieves. So the employee arrives at our house sounding extremely ghetto using all sorts of weird lingo to describe his trip here. We welcome in this individual as courteous and polite people we are and excusing his appearance and the way he speaks because he has a will fix it uniform on. He comes in we give him a brief description of our central AC problem and immediately he starts to tell us different issues the AC could be having. He finally gets under the main central air unit inside of the house and says that the AC vent is clogged that we will need to replace it immediately or he can clean it for $2000. He goes outside and looks at the unit outside and says that several parts have to be replaced out there as well and that would run as another $400. He comes back in the house and starts telling us his war stories with little old helpless women that had the same. issues with their AC. He states that he once charged a gentleman $22,000 twice because his mother had several cats and their hair clogged up the AC. All I kept thinking was I would love to contact this gentleman and explain to him that I knew in my heart that this guy was lying and was a representative of a dishonest company and he took this customer and his mother for their money. I'll fix the problem by myself for under $30 and a little bit of elbow grease. read more

I needed to repair a faucet and I called WILL"FIX IT, their advertisement is that they do not charge for the service call, but they do overcharge, I will never call them again, their prices are out of this world, the estimate to replace a utility faucet was $453.16, labor only, I had bought the replacement faucet already, and to replace the main water valve in the garage $675.00, total $1129.16, the plumber said the work will take only an hour because he has been doing that work for 15 years, why does he think he can charge that much for a simple repair. I undertook a service agreement with Will Fix It after having them come out to the house for plumbing work (I recommend Dean). I have both a plumbing and air conditioning maintenance contract with Will Fix It. This is after having used numerous contractors through my home warranty service. Joe C. has been maintaining my heat pumps for two years, now. I am very happy with his service. Unlike Cowboys AC/Heating, he has never tried to up-sell me on any repairs. He has been very honest with me, and I have come to trust him. He is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and (in my opinion) honest. I recommend him very highly. read more

Over the weekend, we had gone to Home Depot to buy something, and were approached by this gentleman selling system tune ups for air conditioners. Since we have not had one done on our unit in a long time, and my husband and had just had a conversation about getting it done, we took it as a sign that we should sign up. The price was right too...$49 for an entire system tune up and cleaning. So we went for it. We had a 4 hour window to wait, but they called an hour before the window even started and said the tech was on his way. He showed up early and was clean and well put together. He explained what he was going to do and how long it would take. He was very thorough and while it took longer than what he said, it's ok because he did a fantastic job!!! I always see their trucks on the road and never thought to give them a try, but because of such a positive experience I will definitely give them another call! read more

We called Will Fix It because our A/C was leaking onto the floor. When the technician got to our house he declared that we would need a brand new unit, which was going to cost around $3000. Since my husband and I felt that this was a costly repair, we wanted to get a second opinion. We ended up calling someone my family has used in the past, and found out that all we needed to do was unclog the drainage line, which cost nothing. We did this, and the leaking stopped, saving us literally thousands of dollars. Will Fix It is a shady company that uses scare tactics to rush you into making costly decisions. read more

I called my warranty company since my AC was not cooling and they sent me a terrible AC company Air Force AC and Heating first. I felt they were taking me for a ride with the not covered expenses. $1400 worth. I needed a second opinion so I called the Home Depot AC who sent Will fix it as one of their subcontractors.Overall the visit was great by this AC technician. They sent Mr. Mario Olivares, a USMC veteran. Mr. Olivares went straight to work. You can read the passion and love for his job. I am a 20 year US Army retiree so I got that feeling from him. He checked everything about the AC. After about two hours we sat down and discussed my options. I was looking into replacing the AC so he gave me three estimates and explained everything about the options and different AC units. He did a great job. I would recommend him to everyone if you are planning to repair or replace your AC unit. I would recommend the company to start using systems for financing on the go. I asked about financing a new AC unit but had to fill paperwork and wait for an answer. Other companies can do it immediately from their laptops and get an answer in minutes. I was at this point a week without AC so I was looking for a fast replacement. That is the only thing I would improve. read more

Plumbing - Will Fix It- but estimate was exorbitant. I needed a toilet reseated and a pedestal sink re-attached after having floors put in. I saw the truck in the area and gave them a call. They showed in a timely fashion _ I explained what I needed done. Came back with a 499.00 quote (I had already purchased parts) for labor. He offered to replace the turn valves for another 200.00. I balked at over $200 per hour and really closer to $500 per hour. I said it was too high - the service tech shrugged and no problem. I called a second plumber who showed on time and completed the work for only $125.00. So I would say they Will Fix It, but be prepared for them to soak you for as much as they think they can get away with. read more

Our A/C condenser fan started to make noise on Tuesday night. I called Will Fix It and got an appt. time for July 4th. When the repairman got to our house he demanded he see the main unit which is in the attic. I told him that the condenser fan motor outside was the problem. He said he needed to check the whole system. I let him into the attic and he immediately told me he had a leak the coil in the attic unit. He showed me what he said was oil on the coil. He did NOT use a freon sniffer to check it. He then went to the outside unit and told me my starter pack was bad . I asked him about the condenser fan. He said that is what made the fan not move. I told him again that the fan was making a lot of noise and that is why I called him. His response was "IT IS" ? I told him again that is why I called you I take a screwdriver and tried to spin the fan. It barely moved. He said oh yeah you need a fan motor. By this time it was 86 deg.in the house so I had to agree to a bill of $1,272 for repairs to the outside unit. He said I was probably 2 lbs. low on freon . I asked him how much does I system like this hold. He said "I don't know" My question is how can he say its 2 lbs low if he doesn't know much it holds ! It was about to start to rain so he hurried to pack up and did NOT add any freon. I know my system is older but it has been working fine. In my heart I believe that if my system is low its because he let some freon out through his gauges he had left hooked up during the time outside. All he wanted to do is sell my a complete A/C system. I had trusted them but like other reviewers I can say that they are just "SCAMMERS". read more

We called Will Fix it on 2/6/2018 they said they would be out between 11 and 1, got out here at 1:45. We live in a older home and my drain where my washer drains, was clogged. This happens about once a year, Matt tried to talk my husband into a $500 pressure wash , we said no wanted the advertised $69. There is a palm tree by the clean out, he said he would have to charge $80 on top of the $69, my husband told him that we've had other plumbers and that they could get to it. Showed him how to do it. Camera was broken so couldn't get it down, he also didn't have the right end on the auger. He left after selling us a drain cleaner for 80 bucks.Earlier we had showed him our water heater, he said it needed a larger hose for the gas line, we asked how much and he said he'd have to go to the attic, told him we couldn't do it now. He called 3 days later to see if he could come by, told him no. On 2/11 our water pipe backed up again, called Matt he gave us his card, he said "didn't I say you needed the pressure washer, I said"whoa thats only been 5 days," he said "oh don't worry you'll get your warranty. He called dispatch he said, "I can be out between 8 and 10 PM, I told him that was too late, he said" When would be good for you?" I told him tomorrow morning, he said I'll call dispatch, called back "How about between 10 and 12, I said "sounds good". At 12 I called him he said it would be an hour, he was on another job, and that he was in Schertz so it would be 2 hours, I called him at 3:35 and he said I'm 5 minutes out. Him another guy show up in 2 vehicles, started telling my husband he needed to do the pressure washing for $500, my husband disagreed, they put the camera in and wouldn't go far because of the leak, they brought out a small auger and said they couldn't fix it. My husband told them to leave, Matt came to our front door and started to enter and said we needed to sign the receipt, "you didn't fix it, I'm not signing?" Matt tried to enter and my husband told him do not come in my house. Matt said he was going to put us on a list, also the warranty only included one time after initial job, and earlier the other guy said maybe they could make a deal with the water heater. We want our money back, and are waiting to hear from a manager. These bully tactics are unreal, we want a refund, and will never call this company again. read more

I've had two appointments. Both times I was stood up. I was referred by Home Depot. I will just go through Lowes. My first appointment was scheduled 5-7pm once 7 came around I called and they told me the appoint was actually 5-9pm so at 8 I called again and they told me I would be getting a curtesy call soon. Then 8:40 comes around and I call again. The man who answered then told me that there was nothing ever scheduled for me. What assholes. So I rescheduled. A 6-9 appt. I called about 5:30 to confirm my appt which they said was a go. So then at 8pm I call again. And they said not so apologetically that no one was going to make it out for my appt but that they could reschedule. I'm not rescheduling. Nor do I recommend any of you to waste your time. read more

A few weeks ago, my a/c was on the fritz, and having had a previous good experience with Will Fix It, I gave them a call. They squeezed me in that day, and determined it was the motor. The technician said he would order the part, pick it up in the morning, then come install. I let my boss know I'd be out in the morning for the repairs, and come the next day, the technician texts me that he is not going to work that day and will have to go the next day. Mind you, it was 97 degrees and my a/c was intermittent at best. So I call the company, and they were able to work me in later that afternoon. I told the scheduler that the motor had been ordered, and the tech needed to pick it up before coming over; I also texted the tech to see if he could reach out to the new tech with the same instructions - he agreed. The afternoon rolls around, and they call me that the new tech was on the way, so I leave work early (after having already been late due to the other tech calling out) and I again reminded them about the previous diagnosis and motor. Next, the manager calls me as I'm driving to meet the tech, and apologizes that there was a mix-up, and they didn't know I needed a motor, even after I left several messages with them about it. The manager apologized (which I appreciate), but said they must all be having a "senior" moment and forgot, to which I replied: "Having a senior moment is forgetting milk after getting home from the grocery store, but this is just poor professionalism." As the manager, he has a responsibility to determine high priority jobs (i.e. "no cool" clients) of his techs that call-out, as some the clients may be experiencing total a/c outages. Nonetheless, the parts store was already closed, and they couldn't do anything until the next day...so a hot house it was when I got home. The manager scheduled the tech for first thing the next day, and fortunately they delivered on that promise. The technician who called out was the tech that showed up, and he admitted that he just needed a day off. I'm always supportive of a mental health day, but if that's the case, at least convey instructions to your company about a few priority jobs that would be missed. Overall, I feel there were several breakdowns in management and service that impact the customers who have reached out for help. Because they followed through with the job, and also provided an inconvenience discount, I'll rate with 2 stars for at least making it right in the end. I know my a/c is nearing the end of life, so I'll definitely explore other companies for a full a/c unit than trust Will Fix It with that installation. read more
