I bought a new AC Carrier system from "Will Fix It' in 2018, after 1 1/2 years the unit stopped working. A tech from 'Will Fix It" came out to the location and could not diagnose the problem, after 4 hours of trying to figure out the problem he stated "It's been awhile since we went to training on this system. He tried calling Carrier tech support but the lines were busy. A second tech arrived to assist the first one and decided it was the "Motherboard" and it needed to be ordered and would arrive on friday, I advised him if the part could be shipped overnight since it was summer and extremely hot, he stated he did not know the protocal on how they ordered. He then advised me the part would arrive on Friday which was 4 days away. I called the following day and they advised me that I had an appointment to have the part installed at 1:45pm which I took the day off. On friday I called 'Will Fix It" to inquire about the part and they told me it had not arrived and they did not know when it would be in. I strongly regret doing business with this company and if it wasn't for the warranty and parts warranty I would have gone elsewhere. Home Depot assigned this company to me for an energy inspection. I was having trouble with a new HVAC in a 1918 house not maintaining cool temperature late in the day. Being a very old house, I knew just adding more insulation might not be the answer (as another insulation company prescribed). Joe came out and at first I got discourage as he set my expectations...he couldn't evaluate the efficiency of the duct work and really wouldn't be crawling around in the attic to find every hole or exposed header. But he very patiently talked me off my frustration cliff and after inspecting the roof line and the attic, explained to me that houses need to "breathe" and that I had almost no ventilation in the attic. Yes, a bit more insulation wouldn't hurt but he told us how to install "bird holes" to get air movement in the attic. That, he said, was key and that adding more insulation without ventilation would have made things worse. Joe did not try to hard sell anything as he knew my builder was still involved and totally understood that he would probably do the work for me instead. But I appreciated Joe's willingness to share advice knowing there was no sale in it for him. If this works, there will definitely be a future sale in it for Will Fix It. So far the experience has been great (staff on the phone was very professional and nice). Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they didn't do any actual work. read more

My air conditioner stopped working Friday evening. I called the number listed on my installation paperwork (my system was installed by will fix it just a couple of years ago) and it sent me to the after hours call center, which is apparently in Houston. They scheduled an appointment for me for the following day, Saturday afternoon from 12-4. At 3:30pm Saturday I called to get an update on the technician and I was told that they were actually booked out until Tuesday. They claim their Houston call center doesn't have their most up to date times. After pleading with the person on the phone, (who was actually an employee of will fix it and not the houston call center. This is an important distinction) they said they would be able to send someone out Sunday from 10-2. Well, now it's Sunday morning and I get a call from will fix it saying that they want to confirm my appointment for this afternoon between 2 and 6 pm. No, I was scheduled for today from 10-2. They tell me that that unfortunately i booked the appointment with their Houston call center and the the Houston call center doesn't have the most up to date times. I didn't schedule the appointment with the Houston center, I made the appointment with Will fix it. It actually gets worse. Not only do they not honor their SCHEDULED appointment times, they don't want to honor the terms of the warranty that I paid a lot of money for. I paid over $15,000 for a brand new system with them with a warranty that states on my contract that myself and their representative signed, that I have a 10 year parts, 10 year labor, 10 year compressor, and 20 year heat exchanger warranty. They insist that the labor was actually only supposed to be for 1 year. This is a dishonest company with whom I wish Id never done business. This is possibly the worst experience I've had with any company Ive ever dealt with. will fix it, you earn 0 stars from me. read more

DO NOT USE IF NEEDING NEW AC UNITS or ANY AC REPAIR!!! We are BEYOND frustrated with this company. We had two very old units in our home. One was needing to be replaced. We decided to get both replaced late summer (July/August 2021) to avoid the hassle of two separate installations. Jokes been on us! They did a TERRIBLE install job. Not a day after they finished installing both units our ceiling was dripping water. We had MASSIVE water damage to our ceiling. They took over 24hours to get someone out to our house to stop the leak. We have 3 small children, so with no AC during a San Antonio summer it was pretty terrible on top of not having it during the install portion of this. We did not get compensated for their "we'll get someone there in less than 24hours" guarantee like we should've either. When they did finally come it took over two weeks for them to finally "fix" it because new problems kept coming up. Not to mention the annoyance of having loud fans dry out our attic and ceiling, scaffolding to repair the ceiling on top of that. Fast forward to a week and half ago and we get them out because it's taking hours to cool the upstairs 2 degrees. They come and say the install job was the problem and duct wasn't securely on the unit, so they "Fix it". A few days later guess what we find?!?! FIVE new water spots on our ceiling! They get someone out to "fix it" next day (yesterday). We are told they'll get someone to fix our ceiling. We call this morning and they tell us the guy who was at our house yesterday, supposedly setting all this us, is off today and they had no idea about needing to get someone out. WE CAN NEVER GET A HOLD OF AN OWNER OR HIGHER UP!! My husband asked for one yesterday and nothing. I asked for one this morning, the lady on the line tells me the Quality assurance manager will call me right back, she's just on the other line. It's been over an hour and still NOTHING! We have no idea when someone's coming out to our house to fix our ceiling. They have no regard for our time especially since we'll have to change work plans to make sure repair people can come in and put in the loud fans again and fix the ceiling AGAIN. Customer-supplied water heater, $1818. 2. They supply a water heater with a 6-year warranty ($350 at HD), $2907. 3. They supply a water heater with a 12-year warranty ($530 at HD), $3576 Clearly, these prices are outrageous and "Will" should probably investigated by law enforcement for predatory and exploitive practices. I called out Will Fix It to check my AC after my only 4 year old system froze over. I was told that there was a leak in the evaporator coils. My system was still under manufacturers warranty. The technician said that the cost for LABOR ONLY was going to run me a minimum of $1,400. I called several other companies and got quotes between $700 & $750. Will Fix It charges double what everyone else charges. One of the other companies I called said that they charge $1,400 for the system & labor together, when there is no warranty. Total ripoff. They came by to give me an estimate on installing a toilet and faucet set for our kitchen sink. They wouldn't even give me an amount for the toilet because it was one with a built in bidet and they said a supervisor would come out the next day to do the estimate because of its complexity. He never showed. They wanted $1100 for the kitchen sink work, we got someone to do it the next day for $230 and he was apologetic for even charging that much. I had an issue today and my go to AC company is Will Fix It. I tried to get my normal tech out but he was out on vacation. I knew I was in a hard spot and couldn't wait so I asked them to send someone right away. I was a bit hesitant but knew I had to get it looked at. They were able to get someone out to me within about 30 mins of my call, which was amazing and super fast. The gentleman that showed up was named Dillon. He was probably the most polite AC tech I've ever met (other than Daryl). I explained what happened and he immediately knew where to look. He diagnosed my problem as a bad capacitor in about 10 mins and had it replaced within about 10-15 more minutes. The air was blowing cold and my house was cooling down again. Dillon was fast, efficient, accurate, friendly and most of all knowledgeable. I really appreciate what he did for me and how quickly he accomplished it. I'd highly recommend Will Fix It to anyone who's needing AC and or Plumbing repairs. They are professional, fair and quick. I won't call anyone else. On September 18, 2018 I asked Will Fix It to stop by and give me an estimate on replacing the water valve in 3 toilets, nothing else. It's an easy fix...I have a bad back and can't manage to do it myself. The written quote took a long time....I asked how could it take 30 minutes to figure a quote for 3 valve replacements. The answer was..." I am giving you all options"...hummm??? When he finished and went over the options, guess what? 1. Wanted to replace 3 toilets for $2,800.00. There is nothing wrong with my toilets other than needing the valve assemblies replaced. 2. Reset one of my toilets and replace 3 valve assemblies! $1,600.00. Really! 3. AND FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF 3 VALVE ASSEMBLIES - PARTS AND LABOR- $801.00. That is an insult to my old age and intelligence! They charged me $41.00 for the trip to quote. This is my first experience with hiring a company to fix something at my home and I was not too impressed. We had a leak in our walls somewhere that was leaving water damage in 2 bathrooms and in a closet under the stairs. We could not figure out where it was coming from so we called this company. The plumber came on time and was a very nice, he made sure to let us know the price for a leak search, $195/hr. After about 40 minutes and one hole in the wall, he told us that our shower was leaking and to not use it for a week and get it resealed. Simple! Except, the next morning we woke up after not using the shower and our bathroom floor was flooded. He was obviously wrong. After a day of tearing up drywall on my own to save money, I had found that the leak was coming from the ceiling, so we called this company again. That night they sent another plumber who was also very nice but obviously very tried and ready to go home. He made a few more holes in the wall and then told me he had found the leak and told us the repair for the pipe would be another $400. I told him I would fix the leak myself now that he had found where it was coming from, when he went out to the truck with my husband to charge us another $195, I looked at where he said it was leaking and there was no leak there at all, just water dripping onto that part of the pipe from the ceiling. I was not happy with the work of either plumber. My husband and I eventually found the leak ourselves and we were able to fix the pipe on our own for only $30. I could not believe that this company charged almost $200/hr just for them to be lazy in their work. Both plumbers were very nice but I would never hire them again. read more

Prepare to be overcharged 5x times! I called this company to hook up my stove, sink and dishwasher after installing new countertops. I asked to give me at least a range of how much it would be to which they replied: Don't worry, they'll give you the price down to penny. The next day this scam artist shows up, looks around and says he needs to run some numbers. Comes back with a piece of paper and a number on top, no calculations. The number is $1169.24 (I don't remember the exact penny part, but, yep, he gave me the price 'down to penny', just like they promised!) Prior calling this company I called a couple of other places and got estimates of $200-$300, but they were not available until next week. I tell him that to which he laughs. He tells me that the price is so high because it might take him a couple of hours of work! So ok, who are you, a top lawyer or a doctor with $300,000 student loan debt to charge me $600/hr? I still needed to connect my kitchen and I offered him $650 to do the job, since he was already here and wasted his and my time, to which he replies he won't do it for less than $950. I say, no, thank you. I later made an appointment with another company for $225 coming in 4 days, but was able to find other company who agreed to come first thing next morning for $350 and connected everything in about 1hr. I called to ask about a breakdown of the charges which they have refused to do twice. I have been told someone was not in, or would call me back, or on another line. After 4 phone calls I get a cryptic email saying that's what the charges are. You think he was a surgeon?? I called 3 other sprinkler repair places and the most they would have charged is $550 and not for just a 29.++$ part. I feel they gravely over charged and were unwilling to discuss the issue with me. He was VERY rude in his manner even after I told him that I chose Goodman because they have the best warranty of any brand out there. They are made in Houston and not the made in China junk these big corporations try to push. I had initially called to see how much it would cost to replace my ducting. Well, to make a long story short, he didn't even go in the attic to look at my ducting, just said,"We normally get $5000 for ductwork". I told him I didn't have that to waste and he said that it's ok because they have financing available. I didn't tell him I didn't have the money, he assumed I didn't. I told him I didn't have it to waste meaning that he didn't even look at the ducts and I wasn't going to waste my money on a company that is so unprofessional. If somebody doesn't even look at what you have, and wants to just throw a large number out there, they really don't want the business, so they won't get any business from me. Such a shame. S.A. Specialties treated me better with a $1500 bid. Sooooooo, I talked with Will Fix It and they have no idea what is going on. While at Home Depot, there was information about a 29 dollar AC inspection and insulation inspection. Upon further investigation, these service were contracted with Will Fix It. The technician that arrived at our home was named Ace. He inspected our outside AC unit and immediately began to make recommendations for repairs (mind you there was nothing seemingly wrong with the unit). I told him to write it up because I was going to get a second opinion and he asked me if the reason why I was getting a second opinion was because I didn't trust the accuracy of the information he was providing me. I said "I always get a second estimate/opinion." Next, he inspected the unit in my attic. After a few minutes up there he came down and proclaimed "everything up there checks out, I cleaned your drain line out." Ace presented us with three estimates ranging from two to eight hundred dollars (this is for a unit that was and is still performing very well). I got a bad feeling about Ace from the moment I met him and it turns out my intuition was spot on because of what happened next. Approximately 24 hours later, I returned to my home to find water leaking through my ceiling, through a light fixture, on to my hard wood floors. This discovery occurred on a Saturday and when I called Will Fix It I was told they could not get anybody out to my home until the following morning at about 8 AM and there would be a service fee despite my argument the malfunction was the result of the service performed by Ace. There was no arguing the point so I agreed to the service call fee. The following day the technician was late to arrive and upon doing his inspection, he informed us my drain line was clogged and he could not fix it and we needed to hire a plumber. A plumber from Will Fix It came to the home and after about 2 hours said that it couldn't be unclogged and he would have his supervisor come to the house to discuss what we could do next. A supervisor came to our home and didn't even want to discuss a repair, but was more interested in selling us a new unit and getting a mold abatement team in our home, as a result of the leaking water all to the tune of 11-13k. At this point we knew there was a lack of credibility with Will "Break" It so we called another company and they came to our home, and upon their inspection told us the reason for the leak was because our drain line had been cut. There was no clog. The other a/c guy did find that the Freon was low in the unit (that had not even been discussed by Will Fix It) and I have a suspicion that there was some dirty doing by Will Fix It on that as well. We had to pay the $29 fee to Will Fix It and another $350 to fix what Will Fix It broke. In my Opinion, Will Break It is using Home Depot as a venue to enter unsuspecting people's homes to take advantage of them by breaking their property and then charging them to make unneeded repairs. Called Fix It to come repair a leaking bathroom faucet in my San Antonio Rental Property. Plumber assessed the issue and I was tolled it was a 4-5 hr minimum repair job to fix it. The plumber was done in 2.5 hrs and still billed me for the 4-5 hr job he quoted over $900 (my tenant was kind enough to keep track of time arrival/completion). I feel as if i was taken advantage of being a out of state owner and not present. The price was exorbitant at almost $900 for a 2.5 hr job and the parts had to have cost no more that $50 (retail price, contractors most likely pay less at cost for these parts)!!! When i asked for a detailed explanation of the work that was completed the tech avoided to answer my questions via text and telling me the office would email me (which never happened) and the office which was notified of my concern said someone will call me to answer my questions and provide explanation or clarification to my invoice (I could not read what it said -illegible hand writing on the invoice i received via email), to which i have received NO call (4 weeks later still no call).It's hard enough being a out of state homeowner and having TRUST in your contractors is key. They failed in this department. Do Not Use This Company! (They only got a star because the website made me do it.) We found out last night that we have a major water leak at our house. It is so bad that we had to shut the water off completely. I called and had an appointment scheduled for this evening between 6-8pm for someone to come out to fix the problem. I received a call at 7pm saying that they couldn't get anyone out to me tonight and could I reschedule for tomorrow. I explained that wouldn't work since everyone would be at work in the morning. The dispatcher told me that he would try and fix them problem. He called me back a few minutes later and said that a technician was on the way and would be at my house in 45 minutes. When the tech did not show up by 8:15 I called again. I was told they would reach out to the dispatcher and tech and call me back with an update. 45 minutes later I called AGAIN to get an update on the status of the tech. The woman on the phone told me that she doesn't have access to the local records and therefore couldn't tell me anything. She said she'd send a message and have someone call me in the morning. This was NO SHOW! I cannot wrap my head around the idea that a business could be so unprofessional. This would have been a big job that they now lost out on. I sent in a complaint via the company's website, complaining about a problem I had found nearly a year after one of their technicians had been to my house to repair a leak on a hot water heater. I really wasn't expecting to hear back from the company, but within 10 minutes of having submitted the complaint, my phone rang. It was a customer service representative from Will Fix It and she told me that she was sorry about the poor service I had received previously. She took all the pertinent information, again apologized and offered to have a technician out to my house the following day, at no charge to me. The tech to came to do the work, Adam S., was super and highly knowledgeable! He explained what all he was going to do and did so in less than 15 minutes. He left the work area clean and gave me a courtesy knock on the door to let me know he had completed the work. I would HIGHLY recommend Will Fix It for your plumbing repairs! No, they're not perfect, as my case has shown, but they showed me that they will "jump to it" when they're notified of a shortcoming.
