Dr Grella and staff have been nothing short of a godsend! I have not seen a dentist in over 20 years! It was a combination of lack of funds, priorities and extreme fear. This dentist is fabulous! I was able to make a last minute same day appointment for my 8 year old who has an abscess and they took care of him and referred me to an oral surgeon to have the tooth removed. When I couldn't get a hold of the oral surgeon they contacted them and had them call me. I just went there for my first regular cleaning and everyone is so helpful, friendly, honest and professional. So I needed a new dentist down in the Long Beach area where I had moved to from the San Fernando Valley. I went onto Yelp and cross checked the MetLife providers against their yelp reviews. Dr. Will Grella had outstanding reviews and was on my MetLife provider plan, so I gave his office a call expecting to speak to a receptionist and he answered the phone himself. Dr. Grella was super helpful, talked me through all of my dental and coverage concerns, understood why I was looking for a new dentist, and then let me know his receptionist Catherine would follow up. She called me back the next day, and was just as helpful and pleasant in making my appointments. After my initial visit and now my follow-up visit where I had a cracked tooth repaired, I have nothing but great confidence and support for using this dentist. He talks you through the process, answers questions as you need, and is very conscientious and mindful of the health and safety of all of his patients while making a trip to the dentist as pleasant as a trip to the dentist can be. The dental hygienist does a great job but don't expect the dentist to pay much attention to you. I only had a quick question about my teeth but was told he was "too busy and had a full schedule," and that I would have to make another appointment for him to look at my teeth. But nobody followed up to schedule the appointment. It was sort of a "sorry we're too busy so don't ask." It was interesting because while I was waiting waiting in the lobby, one of the dentist's friends came in to see him. I guess he wasn't too busy to visit with a friend that day? read more

Dr. Grella and his entire staff are amazing! I spoke with Katherine at the front desk to schedule my appointment, as well as check my insurance and she couldn't have been sweeter. Not only was she able to make my appointment within a week of my initial call, but she also called my insurance throughout the course of a couple days to confirm that they were on plan, so that I would have zero issues with billing when the time came. Went in for a cleaning and realized I had a filling fall out. Will noticed it and didn't even change the appointment from cleaning to filling. I would think will is smart enough or even cares to realize that the patient needs to get this done before cleaning.
