She might be young, but she cooks like an old soul food veteran! Everything on the custom menu that we selected was cooked to perfection and delivered on time to the church. When we returned from the cemetery, the church staff was ready to serve the awaiting guests within minutes. We received many favorable comments on the food. I hope she left some cards with the church, because I'm sure other folks will want to hire her. I highly recommend her and would definitely work with her in the future.

She was unresponsive to emails and calls, missed appointments and did not follow through with anything promised. None of the food was as presented or described and was extremely disappointing. She showed up 2 and 1/2 hours late on the day of the wedding without even a phone call, and our calls went right to voicemail that was full. The entire day was rushed because of her tardiness and unpreparedness. The wedding party that should have been inside with hair and make up were outside decorating because we did not know whether or not she was even going to be there.The bartenders were not set up or prepared because they had to help cook, wedding guests were helping themselves prior to the wedding as the bar was unattended. The timeline of events was all off including the bridal party entrance to music selected. Our "Wedding Coordinator" was no where to be found during the cake cutting, toasts, first dance, or fireworks send off as she had essentially "checked out immediately after the ceremony. She was supposed to come back the next day to assist in taking down the lights and decorations that were put up but the groom and family had to do that as well as she showed up by herself with no help after the time we were already supposed to have vacated the venue. Of course she had required that we pay her in full prior to the event and we are now sorry that we ever hired this business. Lisa and her team are very creative and detail-oriented, and you essentially get a free event designer (as well as coordinator) included in your catering costs, it is a value that cannot be beat! They were responsive to the needs and ideas that were unique to our event and helped turn our thinking into a real vision - and then they executed it! The executive chef is very talented and the menu was creative; Canards listened to the food styles we were interested in and suggested items that would add some special elements and elevate the menu. They are so flexible and the sky is the limit, and everything is plated in a beautiful way. Really can't go wrong with food from Canards. Canards is very fairly priced and the team looks for ways to save you a buck where possible. They coordinate rentals and other vendors for no additional fees. They designed a linen/décor/tablescape plan that was super unique and then handled rentals and set up, and the results really were stunning. They suggested a decorative scheme for our ceremony space and handled it directly, creating a floral backdrop. They ordered bulk florals/décor which they turned into simple but beautiful centerpieces, which saved us a pretty penny. They helped us do a "welcome" greeting before the ceremony and cocktail hour without inflating the price. It really does result in the best value that you can find for wedding catering, really impressive what they can do for each event. The vendors and service staff they work with are extremely professional. Service was excellent throughout dinner and the rest of the event. I would go so far as to say they're the best crab balls I've ever had. (Have you ever had a crab cake where it was mostly cake filler and they skimp on the crab?) These were crammed with crab meat. When the crab balls were picked up, they were carefully packaged in a nice catering box with styrofoam and the instructions written on the top of the pan "Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes" was so helpful! She also included tongs for the crab and 2 generous containers of cocktail sauce with spoons. These attention to details meant a lot! I wouldn't have even thought to serve the crab with anything else. We're so incredibly pleased we chose Quality Street! My relatives and coworkers have all expressed their approval of our menu. We had the meatballs and shrimp macaroni salad as appetizers, along with the standard cheese/crackers and fruit hor devours. The main course consisted of stuffed chicken, steamship round, and crab balls (everyone really loved these). She also provided cole slaw, green beans, apple sauce, and rolls/butter.
