After a simple repair job went nowhere, I was left with a broken vehicle, a bill, and ongoing harassment from owner Luke Younger. Instead of owning up to their mistakes, Luke Younger has called me multiple times, leaving aggressive, argumentative voicemails. He refuses to acknowledge the problem, won't issue a refund, and tries to intimidate customers into silence. Completely unprofessional. I've already contacted my attorney. If a full refund isn't processed immediately, I will file a lawsuit for deceptive business practices and emotional distress. BBB complaint and credit-card chargeback are already in motion. The mechanic admitted uncertainty but spent a few hours tinkering. They called to say it was "definitely fixed this time" and invited me to return if issues arose. Spoiler: They did. Day 3 (Third Return): Issue back the very next day. After hours of waiting, the mechanic was completely clueless. They threw out a vague "something wrong" diagnosis with no recommended fix, no explanation, and no plan. Just guesswork from an unqualified tech. Four trips over two weeks , endless waiting, and my money down the drain for zero resolution. This isn't a repair shop--it's a guessing game run by shade-tree mechanics who don't invest in real technology for accurate diagnostics. Bottom Line: Do NOT go here. TRUSTWORTHY SHOP FOR WOMEN My son recently had his heart set on an older, used truck. We were hesitant to even consider it because of the potential money pit some used vehicles can be and the fact that many dealerships make temporary fixes to hide serious issues. We took the truck to Willard Automotive for a pre-purchase inspection and diagnostic. At some point, every tech and every staff member stopped and contributed to the assessment. I felt very comfortable asking questions and appreciated the direct, honest answers. Jan even took the time to send an itemized cost breakdown for all immediate and future maintenance needs. (No sticker shock here, either.) We left feeling confident about our decision to move forward on the truck and relieved to have a comprehensive understanding of what we were purchasing. As a mom with zero knowledge about cars, I have had too many experiences being misinformed by auto repair shops at my considerable expense and stress. Not the case at Willard. I have nothing but good things to say about Willard Automotive in Lewisville. I own a 1983 C10 that needed some work to be done on it. I am extremely picky on who works on my truck due to bad service from a different company. I have heard a lot of happy customers and others that only go to Willard for work on their Classic and modern vehicles. I really wish I knew a long time ago about Willard Automotive. They were very patient talking to me about all the issues that I had with my truck and gave me suggestions. This was my first visit but I felt welcome in the shop and could tell they take great pride in their work. I wish more automotive places were like Willard Automotives. My husband recently took my dad's truck to have it worked on. It's only had one owner and that was my daddy. He always told me he would give it to me if he ever bought another truck. You see, when it was brand new, I took my drivers test and got my license in that truck. Daddy had bought other cars as second vehicles but always kept his truck! In August of 2013, daddy decided it was time to get a new truck and I brought the old pick up home with me. Fast forward to feb 2020. Daddy came up to stay for a few weeks as he's always done every year before, his home was in San Antonio. While here, he got to check out his old truck again. He was so happy we were taking care of it. He was wanting to help us get it fixed up and painted. We told him slowly but surely it was getting done. He would tell us things about the truck, where the rails came from .. about the neat side storage tool compartment. He still loved that truck ! My father was here for an extension because of covid and I'm glad he was, because while here he passed away from congestive heart failure. Our war hero had passed on. My husband decided we just need to go ahead and find a trustworthy place to finally start working on dads truck. I was so scared to trust any shop with that truck. He assured me that he had research and asked around. Willards was recommended by another place we trust Bare Bones. Well, let me tell you they kept that truck for a few days and I was pacing the floor until we got it back! It was amazing. Those people at Willards, they went above and beyond. My husband, Danny told me to come out and listen to the sound when it starts up!!! Look under the hood, look under the body... look! The mechanic, heard about my dad being a veteran and he just wanted to really take care and make sure the job was done right and then some! I cried. For these people... from the owner down to the person that locks down that shop at night... to take special care of that truck... you have no idea!!!! I wish you could have met daddy and he could have seen all the work you did(that you didn't have to do)...! They sanded off rust.. repainted ... reinforced things and fixed little things...(no charge, just because the little things needed to be done)! Who does that these days?! Well all the people do at this great business! We will be calling them because aside from taking great care they were honest . My husband asked well what about this... no that's fine. What about this ... it's clean and will last another two years. They could have just kept adding to the bill! They didn't . We are customers for life! Thank you so very much! They put both gaskets from an exhaust manifold kit on ONE SIDE when attempting to repair an exhaust leak on my Cutlass. Not surprisingly, the manifold began to leak again. I had another shop check it out an they discovered the double gasket problem. John at Willards informed me he would not do anything about it (all I was asking for was in shop credit) b/c I took it to another shop. So, this was my fault it seems.
