He referred me to a great endodontist to confirm my old root canals were still holding up before we proceeded with crowns. Good thing we did because we did need to redo one. I came back a week later for temporary crowns (which looked amazing), then two weeks after that we put my permanent crowns on. I have my wedding coming up this weekend and I'm elated that we were able to get all this work done beforehand. I have the most beautiful smile and so much gratitude for the Kind Family Dentistry Team. After going through all the intake paperwork and providing my insurance information, the dentist then told me he was only a general dentist and could not help with the treatment I needed. That would have been frustrating enough, but they still charged both me and my insurance a total of $250 ($50 copay and $200 insurance payment) for a visit that provided no actual care or solution. When I raised the issue, their response was that they "used to have a periodontist, but he left years ago," and that they cannot control what appears on healthcare websites. While that may be true, they can absolutely control being honest when a patient clearly states the type of specialist they need. Instead, they allowed the appointment to proceed, then charged for a service they knew they could not provide. Very disappointing experience.

Every single cleaning I have ever got in my life the dental hygienist has flossed my teeth, she barely stuck floss between some of my teeth not doing all of them or even pushing it down?? like I genuinely don't know what she did and she didn't move the floss once, used the same part of the floss for each tooth. Again every dentist before has explained to move the floss as they go so they aren't carrying the plaque from each tooth to the next. I am not sure why flossing my teeth was such a difficult task for her to do. And then I did not see my x-rays at all and again at every single cleaning I have ever had they show me my x-rays and go over them which did not happen at either appointment. So going from getting great cleanings to whatever i got done at your office no, I am not satisfied. (1) the flossing did not happen, again still not sure why (2) still not sure why my own x-rays weren't shown to me and everything explained how it usually goes during a cleaning. I also called and asked for a deep cleaning and was told I can buy an in house dental plan that includes the 2 cleanings, but that is false, it's only regular cleanings you get. I am very upset about my experience at this office and that I paid so much for a half job cleaning. I never want to return to your office ever again and want to be reimbursed for the second cleaning that I will not schedule in the future and for not getting all of the necessary cleaning checklist done. I understand that every office has its own policies, but there should be some flexibility and consideration for pregnant patients, especially when recent X-rays are already on file.
