If it were possible to grade him with a zero -- or subzero -- that would still be overly generous. The man is inept, incompetent, disgracefully unreliable -- and in every sense an absolute disgrace to the honorable medical community. My adult son, his patient for many years, had a serious seizure last week and was rushed to hospital by the paramedics. Dr. Chow was notified. No response by him. Happily, my son was released from the hospital later that day and he returned to his home. He made constant, ongoing calls to Chow's office, leaving phone messages outlining in detail what had happened to him. No calls were returned. None were responded to in any way. THREE DAYS LATER, this useless excuse for a doctor finally called him back, never even apologizing for the extended delay. I could go on and on listing previous examples of his lack of professionalism and lack of simple caring. The one thing is DOES care about is the money. During Covid, he communicated with his patients via telephone appointments. That was a real treat: five hundred dollars for approximately three to four minute phonecalls. I honestly have no idea why the American Medical Association hasn't expelled him from membership. They obviously are unaware of his thoroughly unprofessional, uncaring, egomaniacal, money-grubbing practices. read more

I would never suggest anyone I care about to ever visit this doctor. He is stoic, cold, dismissive and only cares about HIS bottom line, which is getting paid. Good luck with trying to have any type of doctor/patient report, because he just refuses to use any sort of humanism. The office NEVER answers their phone and the doctor only returns calls when he feels like he can get a visit out of you, which is back to him getting paid. I don't normally write review but in this case I had to. I saw Dr. Chow because of some lightheadedness. He order and MRI and MRA. I went and had them done on a Saturday. I am claustrophobic and taking an MRI is a big deal for me. The result of the tests were available to Dr. Chow on Monday. Monday afternoon I called his office. No one ever answers the phone when you call, you can only leave a message. Tuesday. No call back. Wednesday no call back. I left another message and still nothing. I finally had to call my primary doctor who called the imagining center to get my results. This is just shameful and no way to treat patients when they are waiting for the results of their tests that could potentially change a persons life . I would suggest you stay away from this doctor and find one who will actually communicate with their patients in a prompt and compassionate way. read more

I love Dr. Chow. He is absolutely my favorite doctor. When I turned 50 everything started to hurt because, well... aging isn't fun. Dr. Chow listened to my issues, helped me resolve the aches and pains and has always responded whenever I need a "tune up". His office staff is polite and friendly unlike many of the other overworked medical offices you visit these days. And, when they say they will do something, (call the pharmacy, schedule a last minute appt, get a message to Dr. Chow) they do it. Dr. Chow takes the time to talk to me about my medical issues and needs, he has never rushed me out of the office. I wish more of my doctors were like Dr. Chow and his staff. read more

If I could rate him as a zero, I would. I consistently sit in his office for more than an hour and when I do see him, it's no more than 15 minutes and he acts like I am bothering him and it's a waste of time. The only reason I am stuck seeing him is because it's such a pain to switch neurologists. Also, I have switched my insurance three times to accommodate his business and every time he denies my insurance (currently, it's a top-notch PPO and running through my employer) and he makes me pay cash or card. read more

I waited for over an hour with my poor grandfather. It took the staff an hour and 10 minutes to finally give us paperwork to fill out... because again, they just werent doing anything behind the closed window. They could have given us paperwork to at least start. By far the WORST doctors office staff I have ever experienced and I have been to many doctors with my grandfather. The whole visit took 2 hrs. Dr Chow was nice... we will see what happens.. he scheduled a bunch of tests... my grandfather liked him. Staff.. should be fired. I mean fired, lectured.. i dont know what but they were SO rude. I have been to so many offices and I have worked in Customer Service and have never experienced anything like this. read more

I started seeing Dr Chow after I was diagnosed with MS. He never even looked at me or talked to me just ordered more tests every time without even reviewing the previous tests. Then when I tried every week to get the MRI transferred to my new neurologist he dropped the ball. I don't understand the reviews that say great bed side manner. He has the worst. read more

Dr Chow treats both of my parents for many years. My close friend takes her mother to him, also. We all love Dr Chow and we really think he is great. Yes, there is sometimes a wait and the parking at Cedars is challenging. All well worth it! Dr Chow is an excellent physician and has a kind bedside manner. He is so patient with my dad who is almost 91! Dad's condition is stable and his health has improved, thanks to Dr Chow and his primary care physician. The office staff is very nice. read more

Dr. William Chow is incredibly knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. Not often do you find a doctor that is friendly along with experienced. He opened my eyes to some possibilities regarding my healthcare and I am forever grateful to him. I was referred to Dr. Chow last week by my primary doctor for an evaluation. I was originally sent to a great ENT (which I have already given rave reviews for) and after a thorough exam and treatment realized that it was time to see a neurologist. When you hear you need to see a neurologist for persistent headaches, it scares you to say the least. I think anything that has to do with the brain can cause anxiety. I spoke with his office manager, Verna, and she was so accomodating and nice over the phone and told me not to worry. Even before going to the office, I knew that I felt comfortable. When I arrived, Verna greeted me and remembered our conversation. I waited only 5 minutes in the reception area and another maybe 5 minutes in the examination room until Dr. Chow arrived. He was thorough with his questions and examination. His bedside manner was great and I didn't feel rushed through the exam. He reassured me that my problem was treatable and that I shouldn't worry. I left his office feeling more at ease and less anxious. It has been a rough month and a half with doctors and heachaches, but I am happy to say that I finally got some closure with him. For those who need a neurologist, he is the best!!! read more

Had my first appointment with Dr. Chow. Found him to be one of the best listeners -- calm and patient which means so much. I am so happy to give Dr. Chow a 5 star review because he is the most patient & caring doctor I have even seen. I was referred to see Dr. Chow by my primary doctor because of continuous headaches. At the beginning, I was so scared and worried because seeing a neurologist means a lot to a woman who is only in her earlier 30's and her late husband passed away because of stroke. After over 30 minutes with Dr. Chow in his office today, all my fears went away. He answered all my questions and concerns and made me feel relieved. Doctor Chow misdiagnosed a relative of mine that had a serious life threatening illness that almost took their life. He was arrogant and rude and doesn't listen to his patients.
