Honestly one of the worst meals I've had. The crab was so fishy that it was almost unbearable to eat. The drinks were good and I would go back for a cocktail. The buratta was nothing special very minimal on flavors. Our server was good but that was about it. It was a very dark and moody restaurant so if that's your vibe I'd recommend going for a cocktail. Was able to visit this fun speak easy on a trip to Colorado. Entrance was pretty cool to see a little store, the whole speak easy vibe was not too apparent bud regardless it was fun to wait for us to be escorted in. The ambiance once we entered into the speak easy was a whole different world. Our server was very friendly and gave us a run down about the menu and drinks. We ended up getting recommendations after telling them what we liked. It was a good way to try a new cocktail and I was not disappointed. We were from out of town. John and the apprentice Cade helped us out and they were very welcoming. I explained I didn't know a lot of the ingredients listed on their menu. John asked what drinks we generally like to drink, he came up with two different cocktails for both of us. Perfect for each of us! I loved the dark and intimate vibes that it gave. The bar was absolutely beautiful, it had a saloon look to it. The environment was noisy but that was okay with me. It's not the place to be if you want a quiet setting. I loved that it had dining options as I've heard that not all speakeasy's offer food. The food was very good but it's not a huge variety, but since it's not an actual restaurant then I think the options were acceptable. The drinks were spectacular though!!! They don't skimp on the alcohol. If you don't see what you want on the menu, you tell them what you have in mind and they will make it. Even the non alcoholic mixed drinks are good! Wow this place is awesome. It's a small little speakeasy with big time flavor in both food and drinks. When you walk in there is a book case that the hostess opens for you which leads you into the back. There are about 4 or 5 tables when you walk in, a long thin standing room only table and then a bunch of bar seats. We were originally directed to the standing room table and told that we would be first in line for the bar seating. We ordered two drinks from the standing room and placed our order for food and they switched us to bar seating as soon as it opened up! The waiter was extremely nice, had great recommendations, and knew the menu inside out. Regarding their menu, they have rotating seasonal cocktails, along with a long menu of classic cocktails. If there is something that you want or don't really know - you can tell the waiter or bartender what flavors you like and they will create something for you! We ordered a penicillin and one of their seasonal drinks. Both were well balanced and really drinkable. Towards the end of our dinner the bartender made us a special of his that wasn't on the menu. It was essentially a penicillin with hints of cucumber and mint. It was phenomenal For food, we got the Royale. We questioned our decision at first because it is a burger and we didn't think it would be that good. Boy were we wrong. IT WAS THE BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD. Hands-down. Will definitely be back again just for this. Overall, super quaint little speakeasy with great service, great cocktails, and great food. This bar is advertised as a speakeasy. I was intrigued by this, but in actuality that was the least interesting part of this bar. The "speakeasy" aspect of the bar is that it is a fake book store front. However, you have to give the attendant your name, wait for awhile, check back in when you're called, and then wait for another attendant to bring you back. You do get to go through a bookshelf, but the attendant opens it so you just walk through. The rest of the experience was wonderful though!! The drinks were incredibly unique and varied, and appropriately priced for their complexity. Love, love, love, Williams & Graham! Cocktails are so fantastic, clearly carefully thought out by people who are experts at the craft. The bartenders are always friendly and absolutely know their stuff. They have a fantastic list of whiskeys, including some rare ones that are difficult to find for the average consumer. Ambience can be a little loud, but still a talkable volume. Definitely gives you a speakeasy vibe with dim lighting and an old-fashioned wooden bar. I took my husband here for his birthday. He is more of a cocktail connoisseur than I am and he loved all of the drinks we ordered. I enjoyed them as well! In addition to drinks, I also ordered the ice cream in a waffle bowl. It's literally two servings of ice cream--it was huge! It came out with two waffle cone bowls and I honestly thought they had given me a double order by accident lol. So just be prepared. I wasn't a fan of the salted-oreo ice cream to be honest; the salt was just a bit too strong for me. My husband liked it though. Some feedback for the owners: It would be cool if you offered maybe 2 ice cream flavors to choose from in the future. The only other comment I'll add is the bill included a 5% service fee...for a party of 2 I have seen service fees automatically added for large groups but not for a group of 2. And 5% isn't large enough to be a full tip either so I was pretty confused what that was for. I would definitely recommend that the service fee is explained either on the menu, on the bill, or somewhere clear. Cocktails were OK, and the bone marrow was decent I guess. Heads up in advance, they will charge you an exorbitant amount of money for water. The server we had took an almost condescending tone with us from the get go, maybe he was just having an off night but it certainly showed... rubbed all of us the wrong way. What an incredible bar!! My friends and I came here on a Tuesday night and it was standing room only. After trying the drinks, I totally understand why. There were 6 of us, and we ordered a Bartender's Choice for each round. We each had about 4 drinks and not a single one disappointed. Great place to go to if you are in the area and want a drank or 2. My advise would be to come earlier in the evening as the night goes on the place gets busier. Once you walk in you are greeted by a hostess. You might have to stand and wait but make conversation with the hostess. Or you can play find the book on the shelf as there is 2 Harry Potter books and a Bible that is tricky to find. Once the table is ready the hostess will open the book shelf to discover a secret door. This was probably the coolest thing about this place. They have seating at the bar as well as some booths. But you might have to stand in the middle with a table, which isn't bad. The drinks are amazing and you can always ask the waiter for a recommendation. The place is dim and has old decor that fits the place. The bar has a wide selection so you can find something you like. The reason I gave this place a 4 star and not a 5 is that the service was slow and took us a little bit to get our drinks and check. One of the best speakeasies that I have been to! Williams & Graham is actually very easy to find and almost blatantly obvious--due to the crowd outside--that you might not even call it a speakeasy. BUT! I still loved the whole experience nonetheless. I am an avid reader and love going to bookstores, so the idea of having the bar entrance behind a bookshelf was adorable to me. The inside was dim with minimal seating. Honestly, I didn't pay too much attention to the decor. I was distracted by the alcohol! I ordered 3 drinks of "bartender's choice" and loved every single one. As someone from NYC, I am used to the prices here. In fact, it is pretty standard for a speakeasy or any bar for that matter. The bartenders here are fabulous and very knowledgable. They definitely know how to get creative with drinks and make them delicious. There are specialty cocktails on the menu, too. I've been trying to a reservation in this place for over 5 months. I'm so glad that I was finally able to get in. Our bartender Alexander was a delight. He greeted us by not only introducing himself but also asking my sister and then myself our names. In which he used throughout the night!! He also have us a starter drink to sample. It was so refreshing and great start of the evening. The menu is a QR code and located throughout the place. We sat at the bar in order to see al the action. Since I was celebrating my birthday, I mentioned I wanted a special and fun drink! Maybe even something that gets lit in fire. Unfortunately, Alexander said they really didn't have a drink like that but he definitely make something good. I started with the seasonal menu and got the egg nog martini. It was good, small but tasty! The second drink was a Bartender's Choice, I asked for him to use the Blueberry Sage drink as inspiration. It was tasty as well, I really appreciated the fresh mint he was able to infuse the drink with other fun flavors. My sister got this drink that was served in an old school milkshake glass. It looked like orange juice but definitely taste like it. It was truly amazing and pretty too. They have a full kitchen as well. We mostly wanted to snack, so we ordered the fries. It had like a thin sweet dark sauce drizzled all over and served with ranch. I was very pleased with these as well.
