Here for a small coffee and a capuchin before the movie. Can't wait to try the food. First time here. No one else in line so we were served right away. Server was not very friendly and felt like she didn't want to be there today. William is a franchise. All of the food is delicious. I have never had a bad meal at Williams fresh Café. My friend ordered the cranberry apple sandwich and I ordered the chicken pesto Panini both sandwiches come with. coleslaw and a slice of pickle. My friend absolutely adored her sandwich, and I also really loved the pesto Panini. The sandwiches are fresh to order. They also have lots of little desserts and pastries. How it works is you order at the counter they give you a number and then they bring your order to the table. All of the staff were eager to help and really lovely. One thing I really love about them is that they have excellent seating. It's a mix of booths and chairs. The restaurant was very clean, and in particular, the bathrooms were scrubbed clean. I call this review, The Counter Encounter. I'm a first time visitor to Williams Fresh Cafe and when I get to the counter to order, I order the butter chicken. Mind you, this is not an Indian food joint. Plenty of options on the menu. However butter chicken sounds delicious to me! So I order it. First words out of the mouth of the lady who was taking my order are, "oh wow, it's been a long time since anybody has ordered that." Not really what I wanted to hear. So I asked her, "does that mean it sucks here?" Her response... No it does not. She seem trustworthy given her comment about it never being ordered... so I take a flyer! Candidly, it was good. Not delicious... But good. And it was served with Naan over basmati rice... Definitely better than I expected after my counter encounter. read more

I've been going to this Williams Cafe many times over the years and each time I do, it's always a pleasant experience. The staff are friendly, super helpful, and always ensure they provide you with a great cup of coffee in the most efficient manner. The place has lots of seating and has a very open feel to it. Lots of glass to view the outside. There's also lots of parking outside, and it's location near the movie theatre is a nice bonus. read more

I have two words for you and two words only - London Fog. Williams Cafe is not the only place you can get a London Fog, but this magical elixir will make a visit to one of the Williams Cafe locations well worth your time. As tea aficionados will already know a London Fog (sometimes called a Vancouver Fog by Canadians) is a refreshing blend of hot Earl Grey Tea, vanilla, and steamed and frothed milk. The service was on the slow side although certainly friendly enough. We also ordered a pizzeta which was only marginally more tasty than a microwaved red baron pizza from the freezer section of your supermarket. Check out the London Fog, but take it somewhere else if you want to eat too. read more

Williams is always a decent fallback place if you need a place to chill for awhile. Came hear yo edit out some traffic and grab a quick coffee. The person behind the register might have been new, as she messed up al of our orders. We ordered a hot chocolate without whip, it came with whip. We ordered a black coffee to go, it came in a ceramic mug. Neither mistakes are the biggest deal and we didn't complain, but it was a little annoying. Overall this location is quite sizeable but a little bit dated. It could use a refresh. read more

Never going back.... I went there for a first date with a beautiful lady, the drink was good .... no complains there... the place was not busy ... beside us there was five people there and two people were employees. I was kissing this woman for the first time and the employee heckled me for kissing her. She said that "I should reframe from kissing her. "It is upscale coffee shop, that charged over 8 dollars for 2 hot drinks. I am pretty sure I am not first person to take a date there. And there is movie theatre in the same parking lot. It wrecked the mood!!! It seem employee was on a power trip or it was a race issue. Cafe Demetre's had a lineup and we didn't feel like waiting so we wandered over here as its right next door! Ordered gluten free chocolate cake (comes with free coffee!) and a cappuccino for my SO. You order at cash, they give you a numbered placard and come find you later. Ordered the coffee at cash even though a sign says coffee comes free with a slice of cake. They bring the cake but no coffee. The server told me with what i felt was a bit of a tone in her voice that the next time I have to get the coffee myself at cash. I can't read minds people and I don't work here so how would I know?! If they don't offer me coffee at the cash, why would I assume otherwise? Cake was a bit dry but flavour was okay although more sweet than chocolaty. Coffee was bitter as was cappuccino. Wishing I had been more patient to go to Demetre's instead... There is a Froyo here too. Maybe that would be a better option next time. At least I would be master of my own destiny and taste buds in that case... read more

Williams Coffee pubs are the Ontarians approach to a modern cafe and Ontario's answer to Starbucks and should make every Ontarian proud. I love the concept of Starbucks, but Williams is one step ahead. There is a great selection of sandwiches, soups, and paninis, pastries and cookies; which are fresh and great tasting. And guess what, they serve alcoholic beverages too! The seating area is big enough that you can find your favourite seat by the window or take one of the booths. There is free wifi too and once you order and pay you can sit and they will bring your food. I couldn't personally ask for more. read more

This is the second time this restaurant has taken an ridiculous amount of time to serve drinks. The first time I went it took them over half an hour to make a regular coffee. This time was even worse! It took over HALF AN HOUR for them to even remember we were waiting for a small hot chocolate for a child. The staff were the most ignorant workers I have ever experienced. The kitchen boy did NOTHING but wipe half a counter and flirt with the barista girl and the barista girl served a coffee, tea and biscuit and said she would be "just a minute with the kids hot chocolate" thirty minutes later and it was clear we had been forgotten about. We left without the hot chocolate because we didn't have any more time to waste, people have places to go! The worse part was they didn't even try to make it or stop us. I honestly suggest you go to the Tim Horton's down the street. Williams clearly overcharges for next to nothing service. Had I known they would be so useless I would have made the drinks at home myself in a quarter of the time it took them! read more

This was my high school go-to spot and at first I was hyped up with the smoothies and treats that they offered but soon, the prices skyrocketed and the place didn't look clean half of the time. The cleanliness was my biggest concern and made me not go back there, I'm very disappointed that things aren't the same anymore. No wonder the other two places got shut down. read more

Went in and wanted to change an item on the menu to add an extra egg and remove the meat etc. The cashier was rude taking the order and told me that it's not possible to make changes and just as I was about to leave her manager stepped in and was able to accommodate for my simple request. This williams coffee pub location is the best williams in town. It has the best location near the movie theater and in a great plaza. The service there was fantastic, it came in a timely fashion and presented very well. The food was delicious every time i go. I been there for breakfast and lunch and dinner before and everytime i had a good experience. All and all i reccommend going there. read more

March 2011. Very positive improvement in the service. New owner just took over and is already making a big difference. He's a very hands-on manager and very friendly. He even serves customers himself at times. I am not related to the owner and I am not a friend of the owner, just happy about the changes. I like the fact that it's a spacious coffee shop (too many shoebox style coffee shops in Burlington) and you can't beat the location. I wished Williams hired the owner from the Brant location to train the staff at the other 2 Williams coffee shops in Burlington because I noticed the service is not as good as it used to be there. They often make mistakes in our orders. And I've never seen the managers going around to talk to their customers there either. It really makes a big difference when managers are more hands-on and show their customers that they do care about the service they are getting. That's why I am taking the time to write this review because it does matter. read more
