Ordered breakfast to-go because the reviews had me bracing for a 45-minute-plus wait to sit. Turned out that wasn't necessary, as there were plenty of open tables at 9am on a Sunday. The reviews were glowing, and repeatedly warned about the wait, that my expectations were probably set too high going in. I got the steak and eggs crepe and added avocado, extra steak, and kale. The eggs sit on top, and mine came closer to over-hard than the over-medium I asked for -possibly from sitting in the to-go box for 15 minutes, so I'll give some benefit of the doubt there. The crepe itself was tasty, and honestly I'd come back to try something off the sweets menu. But the fillings didn't land. The steak was a little chewy, and the mushrooms were cut too thick for a crepe -- they made it hard to cut cleanly and felt out of place. The add-ons I'll leave alone since those were my call. Overall the dish felt fairly run-of-the-mill against the hype. One note: this might be a dish better served by not allowing customizations, to keep it consistent to its intent. What threw me is that "steak and eggs" is the menu item, yet they also offer a carne asada crepe with no eggs ...so the only real difference is eggs placed on top, which doesn't change the crepe itself. Felt clear as mud after unboxing my meal. The latte I got was standard. Nothing wrong with it, nothing memorable. TL:DR this read as a solid fallback breakfast more than the must-try the reviews promised. All the food was superb from Press. The flavors of the dishes I shared with my friend were well balanced and not too overpowering. We ordered two savory and one sweet- the hash brown waffle with mushrooms and balsamic, the bruschetta, and a Nutella crepe with strawberries. The amount of food was sufficient and we both enjoyed all of the flavors that came with the toppings. My qualms with Press are the wait and prices- we had to wait for about 65 minutes today. Okay so the salted pistachio mocha is one of the best lattes I think I've ever had. It's so good I had it this morning then came back around 5pm to get another. Service here was great. We sat at the bar at the same time as another couple and the bartender did a great job balancing taking care of both of us without either party feeling neglected. Got lunch I got the BBJ&M crepe. Amazing flavor, especially the hot honey. We also had the Southern Style crepe. Savory, rich and again, amazing flavor. The layout of the space was great. My colleague treated me to lunch at this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I am not sure if this restaurant takes reservations, but we did a walk-in. This was my first visit at this restaurant. They were pretty busy. Seems like a very popular spot for lunch. We waited for maybe 5 to 10 minutes before we were able to get seated and given a menu. I couldn't decide what to order and wasn't quite sure how the crêpes were put together; however, I ordered I believe it was a Down Home breakfast crêpe with fried egg. I thought the egg would be on the inside of the crêpe and did not realize that it was on the outside of the crêpe until I received my order. I started with the sweet potato old fashioned, which was excellent and definitely on the strong side. For my second drink, I ordered the cherry kiss mimosa and enjoyed that as well. The cocktail program was easily the highlight of my visit. The food, however, didn't quite live up to the drinks. The best savory crepe I think I've ever had. Full of flavor, fresh ingredients, juicy but not soggy, and every bite made me want more. My son devoured the berry crepe, packed with a variety of delicious fresh berries. I also enjoyed my almond milk latte - I believe they use Counter Culture coffee. The staff were great. Sat us immediately and were very kind to my toddler, which I don't always see in nice restaurants like this, and really appreciated. Bathrooms were clean! Parking was difficult, good luck! Portion sizes are huge, I definitely feel like I'm getting my money's worth. We ordered a crepe to share (so we ordered three crepes in total), but feel like next time we may just get two and share those two (and this is coming from two pretty active girls who love to eat haha). I ordered the Chicken Florentine Crepe, and it was good! I was expecting it to be a tad creamier and wish it had more hollandaise sauce on it. I'm usually a huge fan of red onion/pickled red onion, but it felt like at some point it overpowered the crepe. My egg was over medium and they didn't disappoint, the chicken was tender and you can't go wrong with spinach. Overall, I still enjoyed it but may order something else next time! I'm not typically a tart kind of dessert gal, but the Blueberry Lemon Curd Crepe was good. The lemon curd was present but not too strong/overpowering (especially if you're sharing). We met up for an early Mother's Day brunch on a Saturday about 11am. It was busy with several events also happening that weekend. For the three of us there was an hour or so wait for inside and a 45 minute or so wait for outside. Several of us were notified that our tables were ready at the same time so checking in for that and others checking in to get put on the waitlist was a bit hectic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were sat outside on a covered patio with nice tables and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was kind and helpful. We had decided on this restaurant because of the menus advertising of gluten sensitive and dairy free items. However it was a bit tricky to confirm that the items were actually dairy free. For example, the regular/sweet/non-gluten-free crêpes are not vegan; they have butter in them. There were also several items that were cooked in or with butter but not indicated on the menu, including the hash brown waffles. We were able to get dairy free milk and dairy free whipped cream, which was nice. If we go back, we might be able to better interpret the menu and make choices for dairy free items. My chai latte was delicious with oat milk. The Americanos were super strong. Ask about the flavor profile of the brew of the day so you know if you would like it or not. The Traditional hash brown waffle was great, as were the Trail Mix and Country Hash crêpes. The restaurant should be fairly easy to navigate with mobility devices. The bathrooms are two gender neutral, single stalls, both of which are wheelchair accessible. read more

Came here Monday Morning, the 20th of April as I was in town for the Duke Lacrosse came. What an awesome experience I had. I came with my parents and were seated right away at around 10 am. I started with an English breakfast tea, and I have to say, it was fresh loose tea that they steeped for me, not in a bag. See the photo attached. The tea was a 10 out of 10. It was great to look at, and tasted even better. I am not too hungry in the morning and all of the crepes looked like too much food, so I asked if I can create my own crepe, which our fantastic waiter said sure, and I kept it simple. Scrambled eggs and swiss cheese inside a crepe. It was fantastic, the eggs were smooth and almost silky, and cheese was melted and the crepe was light and fluffy. Everything complimented each other fantastically. My mom ordered a peanut butter crepe, as she has more of the sweet tooth and said it was also fantastic. Next time I am in town, I will be back. Stopped by on a busy Saturday afternoon. Took us a moment to realize that the line outside was just for being seated at a table, and for those getting coffee to go, we could just go inside to the counter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, there were high ceilings, and lots of seating, with nearly all of it full of people eating brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thankfully, no line at the counter. They had around 4-5 seasonal specials (which all sounded yummy, and all appeared vegan). I got the cranberry yuzu espresso tonic, which was fantastic (not too sweet, tasted like real cranberry juice was in there, not just a syrup). My partner got an iced americano, which he seemed find with. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, the shop was not very well designed to function as both a coffee shop AND a cafe simultaneously.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were told we would need to wait around 10 minutes for our drinks, which isn't unusual. They then directed us to a spot by a shelf where they set out the to-go orders. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, on one side of this shelf was a hallway which led to the kitchen & the bathrooms. On the other side of the shelf was a window into the kitchens with a counter where the food was put out for servers. This meant that the only place for us (and the other people waiting) to stand was directly in front of the shelf.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If we drifted too far in one direction, we would end up blocking servers bringing back plates to the kitchen. On the other side, we would block servers leaving with plates. And then, of course, there's people walking back and froth in front of us as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]So we all had to kind of huddle uncomfortably close to one another directly in front of this shelf, but because there really wasn't enough space, we would always end up in someone's way and so had to constantly be moving about to try and not cause problems.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And THEN they didn't even bring out our cups to the to-go shelf. Instead, they put them out on the counter of the coffee bar, which was semi-blocked by a large pole. Thankfully my partner heard them call our name--I hadn't heard it at all and would have gone on standing there by the to-go shelf for a while. For me, even though the drinks were delicious, this experience was stressful enough that I probably won't go again unless I was eating in as well (and they don't really have any vegan options, so I won't be doing that either). 1) they need to more clearly direct people on where their drinks are coming out (the to-go shelf or the bar? Because we were told to-go shelf, but ours came out at the bar). And 2) [[HIGHLIGHT]]if they want to keep functioning as a coffee shop while still being a busy cafe, they need to rearrange their space to provide an area where patrons can literally just stand still for 10 minutes while waiting for a drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A bench or something would be nice, but honestly i'm okay with standing and waiting for a drink. This is one of my go-to brunch spots where i can always expect consistently excellent food quality. The crepes are delicious - they have wonderful savory and sweet options available. I haven't tried the hashbrowns yet but those looked fantastic as well. The Carolina Comfort is always great, and the country hash is my default if I'm feeling really hungry. Their stuffed french toast crepe is a fantastic "dessert" option too. They have regular coffee and tea options as well as some fun seasonal ones. Service-wise, I have no complaints. They've switched to an option where you can change the sign on your table to flag your server or you can also order and pay online via a QR code. Saturday and Sunday brunch is always busy and there's almost always a line before the restaurant even opens. However, if you don't make it to being seated the first round, the turnover is actually quite fast since the crepes don't take a long time to make.
