I bought sponges as gifts for friends and myself. I've used the yellow sponges for at least 15 years or more. I've been a loyal customer for at least that long buying dishes, glasses, kitchen towels, counter ovens, etc. I have now lost all faith in the brand. Kitchen towels I recently bought are loosing its stitching, sponges are shredding after only a few weeks use. I'd say one of the biggest reasons customers come back to a store is customer service, and that is the reason why I will not be coming back. My boyfriend and I were shopping for a thank you gift for his mom and we were having a bit of trouble navigating the store. No one greeted us, asked us if we needed any help, nothing. I get it, they might have been short-staffed, busy with other customers, but a simple hi goes a long way. (I would know having been in customer service most of my life.) We finally found a good gift and walked up to the register to check out. The place was a bit busy so we waited patiently. A woman at the register turned around and looked at us. I thought it was a sign that she was ready to ring us out, nope. She didn't even acknowledge our presence even though it was clear that we were ready to check out. I realize she wasn't going to ring us out and I go, "Ope," as the midwesterner that I am. She then turns around and helps another customer. I look over and realize that the line is on the other side. I turn to my boyfriend and say out loud, "I guess the line starts over there?" Again, no acknowledgment, no interaction, nothing. There were two women being rung out ahead of us. One woman had her sister still running around the store picking up things one by one causing the line behind us to grow by 5-6 people. Mind you, this store was pretty compact with narrow aisles as there were tables everywhere packed with merch. Then the other woman ringing out, couldn't get a box folded to save her life. I saw her try at least 4 times and wanted to come up there and fold it up myself. The customer was even trying to help and it was just sad. Meanwhile, the other woman was still having someone else pick out more things. By the time we got up there, our transaction was done in less than a minute, and still no interaction other than "what's your phone number for rewards?" That's it. I usually love William Sonoma stores but honey... these women need to communicate. read more

I ordered a gift for a shower. Requested the gift be sent to me. The gift was not sent to me but to the bride to be. Willams Sonoma did not honor my request and now I will show up empty handed to the shower. Customer service did nothing to fix this situation. read more

It's a itty bitty store but packed with all things home related and more. We had some points from a pottery barn purchase and found out we can use it at Willams - Sonoma. We ended up browsing the store, with great customer service from all the employees. They are creating a social distanced atmosphere with it being a small store. We were grateful for that because we were shopping quickly while I was pregnant. I really liked the salt and pepper shakers they had with some fancy salt in it. I needed a replacement for my current one in my kitchen and ended up buying that from this store. Overall a great experience specially with a few bucks discount from the pottery barn kids points. ~ read more

I went to purchase a chef knife and found a SHUN that was on sale, the SHUN paring knife was also on sale at a great price so I decided to also purchase that. Paring knife wasnt in stock at store so she placed an order for it to be shipped to me. A couple days later I realized I was charged full price for paring knife. I called the store & they were busy so I left my number for mgr Mary (she was who had placed my shipped order) to call me back regarding me overcharged. I did not receive a call that day. When she finally called me she told me I would have to wait for knife to be delivered & then bring my receipt & charge back to the store. I explained I was working so much that it would be difficult for me to get back to store, she said that it had to be done that way. I again explained I'm working 2 jobs & little free time & if it couldnt be worked out better then I should somehow at least be compensated. After 2 weeks I never received a return call from our conversation. I was finally able to get there today & when she said $69.99 had been the sale price & I said no, as I said in our phone call it had been $49.99. She then walked away from register without saying anything. After at least 5 min later she returned saying no, it was $69.99. No apology for her mistake nor apology for me having to come back in, her demeaner was quite cold. I let her know I would return the knife & buy elsewhere. read more

It's the holiday season and there are many items I still prefer to purchase at brick & mortar stores. One of them is kitchen wares products. Williams-Sonoma is one of my favorite consumer retail stores that sells kitchenware. We were shopping for a cooking knife set for a family member at Williams Sonoma and thankfully we were fortunate to meet a sixteen year sales veteran that was eager to assist us. This wonderful women seriously was well educated on all of the products. It was a pleasure to work with a sales person that has passion for the job. This is a classic example of why I choose to purchase certain items at Brick & Mortar rather than ecommerce. The ease of doing business on-line in most cases out weights shopping in busy malls during the holidays. But for myself, that is part of the fun of enjoying the holiday spirit. read more

Drove from Port Saint Lucie to get the Thermo-Clad induction non stick 10 piece set... The salesman informed us they were on sale for $499 so without hesitation we bought the set. They loaded it into the car in a brown looking shipping box so I could not see the contents inside. We get home and they gave us the wrong set and are now saying we need to drive back to return the old set and also pay an extra $100 for the set we originally went for and even showed him in person. Have tried reaching customer service but have not gotten any type of response read more

The staff here is very friendly and extremely helpful in making selection from their array of high end kitchen items. Prices are high but the quality of the products here demand the price. Somewhat better prices are available online. read more

This store is my favorite store to begin with, and todays experience proved why. I grazed into Williams-Sonoma with my daughters just to look around and enjoy all of the new additions of the season. We stumbled upon a woman named Linda who served us apple cinder and it was AMAZING. After kindhearted conversation she assisted us in deciding to purchase a Instant Pot, much like a crock pot but with 9+ more features. We were later checked out by a man named Michael who was very kind and made conversation with us about different meals we could make using this item and how it's a smart investment. Both of these individuals helped make our experience a true 5/5 stars, the customer service was amazing and everyone was so kind and polite and for this reason I shop at and will continue to shop at Williams-Sonoma. read more

I bought a 4 cup Cuisinart chopper (model #CH-4DC) at W&S two Christmases ago. I even paid a little more to get the silver model. Within a year, the plastic on the bottom of the container chipped and although it still snapped in and worked, it wasn't as secure and had to be held while chopping. Yesterday I took it out to chop some onions and although I pressed the chop button and it made a sound like it was working, the blade was not spinning. I am deeply disappointed in the quality of this product since I believe I paid close to $80. I have a Hamilton Beach food processor and have had it for so long I couldn't tell you how old it is but it works. It was nice to use this small chopper because there is less to clean up but I will just deal with that small inconvenience. Do not buy these. PS: This is the second chopper I paid a lot of money for at Williams and Sonoma. The first was a very pricey hand chopper from Germany which also broke after just a couple of years and they no longer carried it when I went to the store and they were like "sorry". read more

Another reason to love W&S... We purchased some beautiful crystal drinking glasses and they are advertised as dishwasher safe. We had one break in the dishwasher after just 9 months of use.
