Fairway Auto Sales - Vehicle we purchased from Fairway Auto Sales

Bought a F150 at a very reasonable and fair price…read more My husband and I wanted a hauling vehicle for odds and ends. We found a cheap truck, made and appointment and made the hour trip. Remmi, the owner was very polite. He saw that we weren't thrilled about the vehicle we originally came down for but he had several other trucks for us to look at within our budget. We found a truck that was just traded in and really liked it. To make the deal go through he made sure he addressed all of our concerns. I was impressed by the dealerships willingness to make a deal without pressuring to go way above budget. Finally, the paperwork took all of 30 minutes with my insurance company taking up the majority of the time. They took care of the DMV work. Approximately two weeks after our purchase we received our tags, title and registration. My only "complaint" is that we had to call several times to determine the status of our DMV paperwork. If they had better post sales communication, that would have been the icing on the top. But, not a big deal considering it's a smaller dealer with so many employees. In sum, this was my first headache free car purchase ever. (I've purchased several cars before so that's saying a lot) With regards to the truck, it runs well & seems sturdy. We had to make minor repairs to the mirrors and headlamps & need to replace the windshield wiper hose... nothing you wouldn't expect to be in need of repair after 16 years. but otherwise the bones and engine are good. All in all, I would recommend purchasing a vehicle from Fairway Auto! Thanks, Remmi! -PSL

Anyone looking to have their car serviced at this dealership should proceed with caution. Based on…read moremy experience, this place either employs extremely negligent mechanics or operates in a way that feels intentionally deceptive. I brought my car in because I heard a noise coming from the brakes every time I tapped them. I specifically asked my service advisor to have the technician thoroughly inspect the brakes to make sure the vehicle was safe, especially because I travel long distances for work. Instead, I was charged nearly $900 for spark plugs, an oil change, air filters, a belt replacement, and a wheel alignment -- yet the original brake noise was never addressed. In fact, I didn't even make it off the lot before noticing the exact same issue. When I brought it up immediately, I was told the technician "didn't hear anything." To make matters worse, after charging me all that money, they then asked me to leave the car again so they could investigate whether there were "additional problems," despite supposedly completing a full diagnostic inspection already. Unfortunately, this isn't the first experience my family has had with them. The same thing happened to my mother. She brought her vehicle in for a specific issue, was told that service wasn't necessary, then was sold additional repairs -- only to later be told the original issue still needed to be fixed, resulting in another $5,000 in charges. Middle-class families work too hard to be taken advantage of by businesses we trust to keep our vehicles safe and reliable. At this point, my only option is to seek a second opinion from an honest, reliable, and fair mechanic. Buyer beware.
