Amazing!! This place is everything you'd want in a brunch spot. I stopped with a friend for brunch on a weekday and it was pretty busy. We waited a short time before being seated at the bar. Service was quick and friendly while the vibes were great for brunch! I would probably make a reservation next time and definitely on the weekends. We enjoyed the truffle fries and ricotta poppers with a delicious lemon curd. I also enjoyed the truffle chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries. I felt the portions were big and well priced. We've been coming to willow and whisk for a few years now and the food is always consistently good. We were pleased to learn they had opened a location in millburn which is a bit closer. We decided to stop by for lunch and I ordered my usual dish which is the goddess chicken sandwich on their rosemary focaccia. It tasted fantastic as usual! I also had the butternut squash soup which I tried last year and absolutely loved it. This one was a tad bit sweeter than I remembered but great nonetheless. I'm happy to know that the food quality is consistent. Inside is beautifully decorated like their Wyckoff location and there is a convenient parking lot across the street. Driving out to Millburn has always been a trip to buy bread at Livs Breads because their sourdough is really good but we stumbled across Willow & Whisk because we were looking for some breakfast. When you walk in you see these two white sparkly trees and all the color choices and aesthetics of the place are very appealing. Now onto the good stuff. My daughter got the mini brioche French toast and she loved the two dips maple syrup and whipped cream cheese topping. She was dipping her strawberries in it. My husband and I split the lemon ricotta poppers and those were very good. I got the Breakfast Classic with their homemade chicken sausage and homemade sourdough. What a gorgeous space. Went on a busy Saturday afternoon. Was happy to have been able to get 1:15pm reservations as when I walked in, folks were being told that it was an hour plus wait. We started with coffees, Honey & Oat Latte for me and Butterscotch & Sage for my friend. So heavenly. For shared appetizer we got the lemon ricotta poppers with lemon curd. It was nice (a bit on the drier side) and so glad it came with a side of lemon curd. No WiFi to share. This is odd since there has to be WiFi for the staff. I Do not recommend this place for business meetings to meet there. The waitress said they only allow 90mins per table. We were willing to order more food or drinks (which we did) and continue to work and enjoy our meal. But she was rude and just handed our bill without asking if we would like anything else. We were not told we only have the table for 90mins when we arrived. Customers should be told. And make exceptions for business guests and be more accommodating if needed WiFi. read more

What a really nice addition to Millburn. Came here with my Meetup brunch group and we were all pleasantly surprised. We were a party of 8 and our server was able to provide us each with separate checks which was really nice. I couldn't decide between lunch or breakfast because everything sounded so good. I decided on the shallot burger with mixed greens as my side. The burger was cooked a perfect medium rare but it was a little greasy. That's my only complaint. I love the concept of this restaurant, just not the execution. We stopped by at about 10:00 a.m. on a Thursday, and the restaurant was relatively full. That's usually a good sign, but in this case it made for a very loud experience. There's something about the acoustics here that this sound just bounces off the walls and windows. If I were to return, I probably sit outside which would be much quieter. The food itself was fine, nothing wildly impressive - I had the SoCal chicken sandwich which came with a fresh brioche bun and a lot of sliced avocado. The service itself was acceptable though unimpressive. Our drinks were initially delivered quickly, but once the food was delivered the drinks were not refilled, and I spent a lot of time looking over my shoulder hoping to catch the attention of our server who had multiple other tables that she was balancing. Pricing all in averaged about $30 per person for lunch. The setting is beautiful, and I just hope they get the basics of the food and service upgraded a little since this place could be a true five-star experience with a little attention to detail. read more

As you walk by from outside, Willow and Whisk looks like potentially like another big production atmosphere dining spot, where the food will be overpriced, bland and nothing special. We have been pleasantly surprised that the food, especially the omelettes, are amazing. First, they actually saute the contents to ensure the taste comes to life to complement the fluffy eggs of the omelette. The combinations of ingredients blend together. We loved the Farmhouse, the Mushroom Thyme and the Whisk. For whatever reason, the service timing of the coffee/drink bar does not complement when the food arrives. Even when it's not particularly busy. During our first meal there, the coffee drinks came almost at the end of the meal. The second time, drinks came just after the meals were served and most recently, they came after we intentionally ordered just drinks and French toast bites first, to try and avoid late drinks. The servers are all nice, but management needs to figure out this basic synchronization, especially for coffee lovers who want a few sips of caffeine before the plates arrive. Even basic diners have quick ice water and coffee service down to a standard protocol. Otherwise, this is a high quality breakfast and brunch spot in a cute suburban Downtown. 75% of the tables are walk-in's... a welcome business model recently where impromptu dining is discouraged. My party was seated after a bit of confusion, we had a stroller that they swear was in the way, but it wasn't. After being seated it took a while for someone to take our order. Our waiter finally came over and was friendly, but when we placed our order he kind of questioned everything we chose, we asked if there was anything he would recommend, he didn't have a great answer. And if we order apps, on most occasions, they are all served together or within 5 minutes. I have had a fair amount of dishes from the brunch menu, and one of their burger. The burger was tasty and very juicy. I did very much enjoy the eggs benedict. The side salad with the burger is actually amazing, great dressing. But my other brunch dishes tasted a little oily. I love the concept. Love the variety of options on the menu but just haven't found a fave dish yet. We visited Willow & Whisk for the first time today. I ordered a 2% milk latte, and since it wasn't available, I politely asked the server if they could mix whole and skim milk. From the start, the server seemed dismissive, and when I made the request, he reacted in a way that felt mocking and unprofessional. I can't believe after listening my order, he acted like puking. I completely understand if a custom request isn't possible; a simple, polite no or explanation would have been perfectly fine. Instead, the attitude throughout the interaction felt unnecessary. We requested different server. The manager showed up. When we tried explaining this to the manager, he didn't have patience and interrupted my husband more like I am not interested, give me your order. Also he kept defending the server. At that point, we chose to leave. This feedback is shared human-to-human, it has nothing to do with anything beyond the way we were treated.
