Small suggestions: add noise panel in the ceiling for sound absorption, more truffle in truffle fries and better jelly/ jam for toast. Service was slow the whole time. Seemed like there were only 3 waiters for the whole main floor. Our waitress had two inch long nails, which creeped me out. I waited over 10 minutes for regular coffee. Most breakfast places serve the coffee as you are seated. Also I made a reservation for party of 5 and was seated at a table for four with one seated at the end. Hate that. Looking around there were several tables like us. Food was ok (not great- heavy on the salt). Main room is beautiful but won't be going back. Not worth it and there are so many other options. read more

Delicious visit. Highly recommend shareable mini lemon ricotta blueberry poppers (light and flavorful) and frittata bites (savory and satisfying). Move onto cacio e pepe scramble (fluffy, perfectly balanced), turkey panini (moist, punchy, sweet, salty), croque madame (rich, unctuous, decadent), and avocado toast with pastrami salmon (silky, buttery, hitting all the right notes). On a beautiful weather weekday at about 1:20pm, I asked for a table for one outside. I was told that they would not seat me outside (I had observed five 2-top tables empty outside) and suggested I sit at the bar. It was so noisy inside, and I explained that it was too noisy for me and that I wanted to be outside. They then offered a 2-top inside, but the noise was obviously still an issue. I left, and again counted the empty tables outside. It was quite offensive to be treated like I didn't count as a single person. Shame on them. I ended up across the street where the restaurant happily seated me outside, and it was at a 4-top! read more

I hosted a sprinkle shower for my sister at the Millburn location and was quite disappointed with the service received. The booking process with AJ was easy as he was prompt with answering questions. However, the server assigned to help with the party had a less than enthusiastic attitude and did not assist with anything until asked. The package included soft drinks and coffees for the guests, and she did not ever offer any of the guests soft drinks during the party. When one of the guests asked for coffee, she rudely responded that it wasn't the time for coffee (because apparently she was too busy writing down the entree orders) and she will get back to the guest. At one point when the server was walking around taking orders, she MOVED the backdrop which had an elaborate balloon garland attached, almost dropping the entire display down. What's worse is that when some of the guests reacted in gasps because the entire thing almost came down, she didn't even react or apologize, as if it wasn't even happening. The party was for 3 hours but the starters didn't come out until the last hour and then they rushed bringing out the entrees shortly after. There was no time for cake which they didn't even cut (as previously agreed upon) and when this concern was expressed, their response was that they would not charge for the cake cutting (umm duh! they didn't cut the cake or serve it to the guests). As a result, the cake went uneaten because they made it clear that we had to be out of the room as soon as possible. Extremely upsetting considering this place was not cheap. read more

Came here again with my sister and cousin for brunch yesterday. We were told that it would be a 2 hr wait. My sister put her name and number down and we headed over to the short hills mall to walk around until our table was ready. By 1:15pm, my sister got a text message saying that our table was ready. On our way there, my sister called to see how long they would hold our table for and the hostess told my sister about 15 mins and that they had a lot of cancellations (hence why we didn't wait the full 2 hrs) we quickly found parking and walked into the restaurant to be seated. We sat right underneath the beautiful tree which is what made the restaurant look so cute and charming. The waitress brought us over some water while we looked over the menu. My cousin had never been here before so I recommended that she try the so-cal bowl and the lemon blueberry poppers. Both of which I had ordered the last time I was there. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict minus the bacon and the waitress suggested that I get ur with avocado instead and that was the best thing! My sister ordered the shakshuka, being that we are middle eastern she decided to give it a try. And they also shared the French toast bites as well. The peachijito was delicious and definitely will try it again but a different flavor. Ok so where do i get started? Came here with my cousin and sister after my cousin had recommended dining here for breakfast since she's visited once. We walked into the restaurant and saw it was very busy for a Thursday morning which was very interesting. My first reaction to the atmosphere was wow I was in awe. It's such a beautiful place to eat in. I love the trees that they have in two different spots. We were told there would be about a 30-45 minute wait but would go by rather quickly because most tables were closing out their tabs. After about 20 minutes or so we got texted to come in. We got seated at our table, only down fall they're not quick enough to get the tableware set up for the next people to be seated. So as we sat one of the workers came and placed our place mats and napkins and utensils. Not a huge deal but just kinda eh for me I'd like my stuff to be all setup when I'm seated. Our server came immediately to our table gave us our menus. They have a great selection of foods to choose from a little challenging when there's great options. After a few minutes our server came back took our drink order and even our food order because we already knew what we wanted. I ordered a Ghirardelli hot chocolate with Nutella $4 for this not bad. My main was avocado toast with a poached egg and side of breakfast potatoes. Also shared the blueberry lemon poppers I believe was the name. Super yummy and loved the lemon cured to dip into. All the food came out fairly quick which I definitely can't complain about. So the only thing that was horrible tasting and I ended up throwing the money in the garbage and wasted was the hot chocolate. I had to get it twice first time was barely lukewarm and wasn't good tasting and second time was a little bit warmer but still tasted horrible. Added sugar no help sadly. I definitely enjoyed my avocado toast it was really good but wished they had larger eggs and not tiny petite ones. The breakfast potatoes were good tasting but a little too small and burnt for my liking. That should be fixed because i really didn't enjoy it like I wanted to. I tried my cousins mini brioche French toast basically little bites and those were so delicious especially with a strawberry. I definitely would go back again to try more food and I surely recommend people to come grab a bite. read more

i had the classic breakfast. bacon, eggs, toast with butter, and roasted potatoes. eggs were just ok not my fav, toast very good, potatoes very good, and bacon pretty good not the best. it seems overpriced. its VERY FUCKING LOUD!!!!!! and parents need to stop bringing kids to places like this. can't adults have stuff for themselves??? one screaming kid adds to the loud voices! the service was great we loved our waiter. they give you water for the table too. read more

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and am glad I was finally able to meet a friend here for lunch today. Lovely space - light and bright. Service was wonderful, as was my cobb salad - beautifully prepared and fresh. My friend had one of the French toasts and loved it (it looked delicious)). At 9:00 this Sunday morning, we phoned this restaurant to make a reservation for 4 people. We had been told previously that by phoning we would be able to make a reservation for 90 minutes later. We were told that they were not taking reservations and that there was no lineup at the time. When we arrived 90 minutes later, the restaurant was packed and we were told that we would only get a table almost 2 hours later because we had not made a reservation. Other guests who had successfully made a reservation prior and who arrived at the same time as us were assigned a table. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed and will be reluctant to return unless they improve this situation. read more

The interior is open and inviting. The ambience is less than acceptable. We were at the location and the room was deafening. It's impossible to hear the people across or next to you. As far as the food, they have icons on the menu to designate gluten-free, dairy, free, etc. The server, pretty much tried to convince me not to order there because everything in the kitchen is cross contaminated . Even the hamburger made me sick. Must have been cross contaminated. The server bordered on rude. If you have food allergies, I would stay away from this restaurant. If you value quiet and good service, skip this establishment I pretty much paid $$210 for a lousy meal for me and my family read more

The food was amazing. I had to send them in swirl pancakes. These were the thickest pancakes I've ever seen from a restaurant and the chicken sausage was exceptional and thick not a small overpriced piece of meat but certainly worth the money.
