We went to the Willow Run feed store for their annual Dog Days event. The event itself was kinda small and not very eventful, but it was hot and in the middle of the day, so that might have been why. The store itself was a quaint, family run feed and dog supply store. They have lots of high quality selections including raw, meaty bones and local, raw food. Worth checking out if you're in the area

Welcome to your new healthy addiction! I don't have an appropriate way to express how impressed I am with Willow Run or their staff. What ever I say would be to modest for words to describe who they are and how much they care. It takes me back to the days of an old grocery store. If it is a 50# bag of dog food or a couple plastic bags with samples of new food, they carry them to your car and thank you for your business. I will pay for the price difference to a home grown USA supporting business over getting a few bucks off for a simple lazy convenience. This is what America is about and what Americans should support! Buy local! Jay & Allison Commuso

They price everything fairly and usually quote us lower than some of the other ones in the area. We have made appointments with just about every vet at this location and they are all extremely experienced, caring and knowledgeable. Unfortunately a couple years ago we had to put our dog down and if you've ever had to euthanize a pet you know how hard it is. We were able to go into a private room that had been set up to feel more like a room in your home, it didn't feel medical. There was a couch, carpet and tables. It felt like they went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible, which we really appreciated. Afterwards, they let us stay in there as long as we need to. A week or so later we received a card from the entire staff and a clay footprint from our dog. They really do care about you and it shows.

It took me a while to figure out what's wrong with this place, because it's insidious…read more The whole operation here seems designed with the intent to mollify you into leaving quickly so the vets can hide their lack of expertise and make money off the next guest. When you sit down with a vet, they seem to be out to lunch. They don't engage with any videos you show them, don't put much stock in your perspective or concerns as a pet owner. They ask very few questions and rush to end the appointment without considering the animal's overall medical history. The vet barely speaks to you, as the human. Spends the whole time cooing over how cute the pet is, talking to the pet, to the point where it's difficult to even get a word in edge wise. Frankly, it seems like a patronizing and deliberate tactic to avoid answering questions. They suck up all the air in the room trying to make you and your pet feel so cute and special, but when you finally do get an opportunity to ask a question, the vet seems annoyed, the response is quick, thoughtless, and non-committal. No advice given, doesn't seem concerned, doesn't take things seriously. The vet chuckles and tosses out a boiler plate response with no professional recommendation. Doesn't ask if you have any more questions, just goes right back to baby talk with the animal. It honestly seems like they don't know what they're doing. I came here looking for professional advice and I feel we were coddled, manipulated, patted on the head, and sent out the door. I got home and realized the side effects of the treatment my cat received were much worse than expected... and really common. The vet told us nothing about them. At this point, googling things is more useful than going to Aspen Arbor. And way less expensive. And I don't close my phone feeling like I just got scammed. After reading other reviews, it seems that condescension, misdiagnosis, poor comprehension, inadequate communication, and failure to take things seriously are common practice here. And it sounds like they've killed a couple pets as a result. Oh and lastly, when you get there, the doors don't have buttons. The two front desk agents will sit there and watch you as you struggle to get the doors open. We obviously are done here and will be transferring our medical records to Care Animal Hospital.

My dog was severely injured and almost lost her eye due to negligence on their end. After speaking with the animal hospital I was advised that MANY dogs come to the hospital with a variety of injuries and that CO Dog Academy is not transparent when injuries occur. The Kennel is known as having a "sketchy" reputation and the fact they don't have cameras is a huge red flag. Pat the owner was incredibly combative with me when I asked him to pay for the vet bill. He offered $500 and I asked how he came up with that amount when the cost of treatment was triple that amount. He said I had no proof they were responsible. What I believe happened is that the old rusty door that leads to the outside kennel fell and trapped my dog by her neck (they found grease all over her). As a result, eye proptosis occurred (very painful injury where the eye pops out) I'm so disappointed with how CO Dog Academy handled this matter. I'll Post pics on yelp. Please do not risk taking your dog here.

My kids "Rosie and Snoopy" were still in training mode when we got home. I expected them to be a little out of control, instead, they listened to my commands and were engaged. Rosie, Snoopy and I appreciate your knowledge of dog behaviors, what is really important in a dog's life and most of all, not to humanize your dog. It all makes sense to me now. The staff, the trainers are all great!!!

She was a rehome situation and had been trained to use a liter box in her crate. Meghan from Training Wheels helped me train Lemon to go outside and to LOVE her crate as a safe place and not soil it. Additionally, she helped me train Lemon to be totally focused on me, even with distractions. She sits when asked, she looks to me for approval and consent, and comes when called, no matter what. She is the goodest girl now - not that she wasn't before - she is just so much better now. All of this training was done with a lot of knowledge and a lot of love from Training Wheels. I also use Training Wheels for boarding Lemon. She gets so much positive attention and interaction. I was a bit hesitant at first because there are a lot of big dogs, but the times that I have boarded her, there have been dogs her size to play with and the bigger dogs play in a different area. For sleeping, she gets her own area (with door) with plenty of space for her bed and toys and then an area for going potty, should she need to in the night (Italian Greyhounds have hamster bladders, haha). The building where she sleeps and takes naps is temperature controlled and she is surrounded by other dogs in their areas, so is never alone. There are multiple outside play areas - and they designate which areas are for which size dog, and the dogs are always supervised. Training Wheels staff are always with the dogs and interacting with the dogs. They send pics of my happy dog playing outside and running and having just the best time. I feel that my tiny dog Lemon is very safe and happy there. I can't recommend Training Wheels enough for both training and boarding. Lemon is SO well taken care of and loved.
