Coming from the east valley of Gilbert and Scottsdale salons, I've been on the hunt for a high quality salon, and found this one on instagram that looked promising. Unfortunately I will still be on the hunt. I booked a haircut and conditioning treatment on my birthday, excited for a trim and cute styling to go out for my birthday. My hairstylist was the most unfriendly person. She didn't even attempt to get to know me, and all my questions to try and spark conversation were being answered with one word answers. I paid extra for a treatment that 100% felt like a burden and was rushed through (it was a Wednesday so not busy at all) and I left with 5 extra inches cut off that we didn't agree too, and the worst cut of my bangs I've ever had that I had to ask her to try and fix, and I'm still left unable to style until they grow back in several years. I also had to ask her to dry and style my hair, and I ended up having to curl it at home because I'm not sure the curling iron was even on. They booked me a return appointment and I immediately canceled it when I got home, and cried on my birthday because of how awful the whole experience was. I do not recommend this spot unless you've never actually had your hair cut by top salons outside of Tucson, don't care about your hair length, or you are under the age of 23. read more

went it for a trim and wash cost me over $200 didn't even blow out my hair just blow dryed it. plus was rough when brushing my wet hair. told her to be gentler cuz my hair would fall out more when wet she said that's a myth. like the fuck. I just had a haircut by Ary and I loved it! She was friendly, easy to conversare with and she really listened when I explained my concerns about my hair. She totally delivered. My hair was dull, heavy and boring and she brought it back to life - with a haircut! She recommended a hair mask and gave my head a much needed massage during the treatment. So relaxing! The entire salon is a vibe and I'll be scheduling my appointments here from now on. read more

Willow Salon is an inviting, airy, beautiful salon that is easy to find. I was greeted warmly as soon as I arrived & offered beverages & snacks several times while I was there. I have been getting my hair colored & cut for over 20 years, & Amelia is the best hair stylist I have ever had by far! I had only had highlights before, & after reading about it, I thought I needed a full balayage. After listening carefully to what I said I wanted, Amelia told me something in between would work best. I was so impressed at how flexible her skills are. She was a great listener; she put up with me telling story after story about my family. When she was done, my hair was beyond my expectations! Willow Salon is the coolest salon, and we are so lucky to have a salon of this caliber located in Tucson, AZ. As a natural blonde, I found it very difficult to find a local stylist not only comfortable, experienced, but also just all around amazing with all shades of blonde. (and for working with natural blondes, not just coloring dark colors to blondes) Dyeing your hair is a stressful experience, it takes long periods of time, lots of money, and you are stuck with the results - so it's worth during your research to find yourself a stylist who you can trust. Best to find someone who is not only experienced with the colors you want, but also your hair texture, and style. Emily (the owner) aka "Em the Stylist", checks off all of these boxes for me. She is well educated, and always up on ALL the hair trends. Not only did I go to her for the best blonde color I have ever had, I also went to her the first time I chose to be anything besides blonde (cue:copper, see photos in review). Just went in to look at the location, looks nice clean and up to date. Prices were comparable to a lot of the area around here. Will definitely be back to make an appointment. Lots of parking in the area, staff was nice and answered questions for me and was able to gather plenty of information. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. You would think this place would be filled with warm and welcoming people but in reality it is a terrible place. Not one in the greeted me with anything but a stare for 15 minutes when I first got there. I had booked with one of the hairdresser Kaylee. She was late to my appointment, did not care what she was doing to my hair, started doing someone else's hair way into my appointment. (Trust me I understand being busy but this girl was straight up rude and shouldn't have a job) I can confidently say she gave me the absolute worst haircut and experience at a salon I have every received. She was rude to me about my hair and let me leave the chair with an absolute mess in my head. It is insane that I still had to pay for this service. It's very embarrassing they employ rude and unfocused people at this establishment. I hope they can do better in the future with who they staff. Terrible experience, take your money elsewhere. read more

Initially, I reached out to Emily (salon owner) to see if anyone from the salon could squeeze me in before I moved out of country. She told me Kait would be glad to get me in and help me with what I wanted to achieve with my hair. 10000/10 is what I would rate this salon and the girls there. This place was recommended by people at school. I went and had O'Neal. I asked for light brown hair and long layers in my hair. I walked out of there with just my natural color(dark brown hair) Completely not what i asked for. My hair was so much shorter than when i walked in. I did not ask for my hair to be shorter. I was so upset the whole night. I did go back in for some highlights but it was again not what i asked for. But the worst part of this all is the damage this salon did to my hair. My hair is completely broken and is so damaged. Which is weird because I went darker with my hair which should be better for my hair. I cant do certain hairstyles because of my damaged hair. I am still super upset by my hair and it has been months. Thank you for ruining my hair! read more

I always look forward to my appointments. not to mention the AMAZING AMAZING job they do on my hair. I have never been disappointed and they never do less than an immaculate job. Owner responds they "take care" to do all they can for clients? How about a FULL REFUND instead of just the amount I tipped when my hair turned out so poorly? Also, my hair would not style well at all after my visit and you can see in my photos it was very uneven. I had to have the owner of another salon correct the cut. She ended up have to cut 4 inches off to fix all of the inconsistencies. I can't say it enough, DO NOT LET EM TOUCH YOUR HAIR!!! read more

It can be beyond difficult to find a new hair stylist after moving to a new city...I feel SO lucky to have found O'Neal!! I was in a panic when my balayage done elsewhere was yellow/brassy just a few months before my wedding and honestly considering driving back to Vegas to my old stylist just to get my hair done. But thank goodness O'Neal saved the day!! I've never had to give her much direction, she just knows exactly what to do and I love it every time. She is super sweet and I enjoy seeing her for my appointments! You will not be disappointed with O'Neal! read more

They really don't do much at this hair salon and they really over charge. I paid 350 to get a root touch up and a partial highlight and she didn't do the root touch up so even with the partial highlight my hair still looked like it hadn't been done in a month. They also only know how to do one type of hair cut They really over charged me even though they kept telling me they couldn't do what I wanted. Never going back again. They should've went over the price before they even started but they new they couldn't do what I wanted but still charged me full price anyways. If you wanna actually get what you paid for then I would not recommend this salon. Never going back again. One star is being extremely generous for the lack of quality at this salon they act like they never even went to Beauty school! If I could give this place -5 stars I would! read more

LOVE this salon. I truly would not put the same trust in another salon as I do with this one, especially with Em (she cuts my hair every time). Any time I come in for a cut, Em always does a stellar job. I typically will show her a photo of how I'd like my hair to look, and then allow her to have some creative freedom with it! She's never disappointed me. Everything is sparkling clean, which is something I definitely always look out for in a salon. The staff is also super friendly which is a plus! The price is extremely fair for a cut, especially for a salon as trendy as this one (for other salons of this caliber I've seen normal haircuts go for $70 and up). I can tell that Em and her staff really care about each client! Also, whatever products they use for your wash smell AMAZING. You really can't go wrong with choosing Willow! read more
