The food itself is not bad at all. Got onion rings and wings but the sauce was not at all on the wings it was watery at the bottom. The service however was very bad. Priced too high I paid 30 dollars for 10 wings and a side of onion rings and also pod for a big ranch that wasn't there. We were looking for a restaurant with a takeout option, and had a couple failed attempts when calling over the phone. We pulled into Morrison, saw Willy's Wings, and decided to go in and see what their story was. We were pleasantly surprised that not only did they have takeout, but the prices were reasonable. We got 10 boneless chicken wings and 5 jalapeño poppers for $16 - and man were they good. We couldn't wait to get through the Red Rocks line to eat our food, so we had a standing picnic with many jealous onlookers. The service was also notable. This place has excellent wings. If you are looking for a good wings, this is the place to go. The wings were crispy and the sauces were solid. Took them to a party and everyone loved them. It is somewhat of a dive place. They have tables available but I got my order to go. They also have a variety of other fried food options on the menu. The fries were average. I recommending calling ahead to avoid the wait. The only issue I have with Willy's is their menu pricing. If you order 10 wings, it will cost $8.80. However if you order 30 wings, it will cost $26.10. Plus if you split sauces it is an extra $1. Why not just place three order of 10 wings ($8.80 x 3 = $25.60). It will be cheaper and you can choose three sauces without an up charge. Usually places will give you a discount when you place larger orders. Just need to be aware when ordering the wings. While waiting for my order, it was surprising how many people were unaware of the menu prices and extra costs. I love their food! The boneless chicken tenders served buffalo style are amazing. This is my favorite wing place in SW Denver metro. Be prepared as the only thing not fried is the celery. The restaurant is not much more than a "single-wide" trailer home with a foundation and is very cramped. The inside is always clean, but not very much to look at. The patio is unassuming, but the view of the hog back is decent. Unfortunately Morrison road is only 20-30' away and the road noise and lack of privacy with onlooking motorist leave much to desire. A few potted bushes and flowering climbing vines would make their patio a lot more cozy. The pros: Their food is always served hot(and I mean lava hot that requires a little rest before digging in or you will melt the roof of your mouth) and their flavors, portions. breading, etc. are always predictably consistent. Having only spent about 4 days in colorado in and around the greater denver area, i cannot personally attest to this. however, i will say this, they were the best wings i have had anywhere. i am not going to proclaim to be a wing expert, but i have had my fair share of wings from several different establishments. Willie's Wings were juicy, meaty, crispy and had the best wing sauce i have ever tasted. we ordered the XX hot wings (or maybe it was the XXX hot)....whatever it was, it was the hottest they had. Normally if i order the hottest wings, they flavor has a tendency to get too "peppery" and not vinegar-y enough. This place nailed it though with this unbelievably tangy and ferociously spicy sauce. we took it over to the nearby creek and ate them. we finished one wing and i had to rush over to the corner store to get some milk. We devoured the wings in no time at all with our milk in one hand and messy saucey wings in the other with snot dripping out of our noses. it was great. read more

Willy's Wings is a place that has been on the list of my must-try places for a while now and let me tell you, It did not disappoint. First, the wings were a decent size, the size you want a chicken wing to be. The chicken was well fried all around and the meat was a bit dry but it is personally how I like my wings. The hot sauce was very good and flavorful with a small kick for being their "Hot" option. The teriyaki was also good but personally, it didn't taste any different to any of the other teriyaki sauces I have tried before, so I won't be ordering this sauce again. Overall the staff was very friendly and patient and the place was clean and followed Covid-19 guidelines. I must say, this is my new go-to place for wings! They boasted of "Westword's Best Wings in Denver" and "Voted best wings by Rocky Mountain News". They are nestled in Morrison, just outside of Red Rocks. I visited Willy's as part of my quest for Denver/Boulder's best wings. It's a bit out of the way, but if you're coming back from skiing, it's an easy (and beautiful) little jaunt south on Co Rd 93/Hogback Rd. past Red Rocks. First off, let me say that the wings were in fact DELICIOUS. Perhaps the best wings I've had so far. However, it ends there. Willy's is a tiny little building (perhaps a converted mobile home?) that I assume was "decorated" by someone's grandmother while she was out visiting from Kentucky 20 or 30 years ago. You might think there could be some kitsch value to such a thing, but no... alas, there is not. I seem to remember some sports posters or flags hanging on the white walls, like after thoughts when someone decided the austere/bedraggled white interior needed some flair. Our drinks (no beer!) were served in giant styrofoam cups. I can appreciate trying to keep prices down, but the price of my wings were definitely nowhere near low enough to justify styrofoam. Also, you're only allowed to get one refill. The cups are so big I can't imagine needing more than one... but I'm just sayin'. So to recap: DELICIOUS wings, cute little town, nice drive, HORRIBLE ambience, no beer. The service was terrible. The woman with glasses and brown hair had a terrible attitude with us as if were were stupid and she knew everything. It was our first time there. We smelled them cooking when we drove into town. So, we definitely had to try them out. And, the rave reviews I saw on the internet are correct! They make their wings to order so plan on waiting about 10 minutes. We ordered a 10 piece with mild sauce to split then sat down to wait. And, boy were they worth the wait! They were crispy (without having to ask) and were covered in tasty sauce and served with a side of celery and dressing. The best thing about them was their freshness. There's nothing worse than rubbery wings! The only problem was we didn't order enough. Next time, we split a 20 piece. Willy's Buffalo Style Hot Wingsis on the far east side of old town Morrison at 109 Bear Creek Avenue in a small white and blue building with a crazy looking chicken on it. Wings were soggy. Fries are frozen and from a bag. Carrots were the tiny little precut ones found in elementary sack lunches across America. And...no celery at a wing place???! Even the worst bars in Denver offer celery. 10 wings will run about $10...so nothing special with the price. Wow. What can I say? Uh DELICIOUS! We stopped in here after a nice walk with our dog over at Lair o' the Bear. We had seen this wing place on our way into Morrison and our curiosity was piqued. Now, me? I love wings. They call me the wing monster, so Willy's was a must try. When you step into Willy's the cool air welcomes you with open arms. We had looked at the menu outside of the building and already decided what we wanted. Prices were fair and there were numerous options, including many non-wing items. We ordered 10 medium wings, 10 boneless honey BBQ wings, cheese sticks, and 2 sodas. It all came out the $30.30 and we were stuffed afterward. Service with a smile? No. But was it the worst service I've ever had? Not even close. The lady took our order, but did not tell us about the daily deal which was 10 wings, a drink, and fries for the same price as 10 wings. Seeing as we got 10 wings and a drink, we were a little disappointed that we hadn't seen this deal before and she hadn't told us about it. She also didn't ask what kind of sauce we wanted (bleu cheese or ranch) and we ended up getting ranch when we would have preferred bleu cheese. The food was amazing. The sauces were outstanding. The cheese sticks were a great consistency with no sogginess in the center and they definitely tasted homemade. The honey BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy, there could have been more sauce, and the boneless wings had a wonderful crispness to them. The medium wings were amazing and it was a hefty portion. There was a huge amount of sauce left at the bottom of the container to dip the wings in, which is how I like them. Overall, a wonderful wing place that I would recommend to anyone! Went to Willy's Wings yesterday and overall it was a good experience. You can't beat sitting on a patio in Morrison so close to Bear Creek and eating some good wings. I ordered a mix of medium and hot wings and both of the sauces had a great flavor to them and they were not overly hot. I also ordered some onion rings and they were absolutely great. However, the wings did seem to be a little overcooked because the outside and inside of the wings were dry. Also, you should check out their hours before going since they either close at 7 or 8 which seems strange to me for a Colorado restaurant but Morrison is a small town.
