For a part that costs less than $10 for 15 minutes, my friend Nancy paid $322.35. She felt intimidated, not communicated with, blamed for not contacting them back, and then gaslit into believing she could have fixed it herself earlier. Nancy was treated horribly, overcharged, and then the receipt she was given was not even itemized so she could actually review the costs of the part and the labor. Called Wilson repair at 9 am yesterday, Mr. Wilson arrived at 10 am the same day to fix my non heating dryer. The problem was a broken heating element. Mr. Wilson replaced the heating element in a very short time. The total cost was very reasonable. I totally recommend Wilson Appliance repair for any home appliance repair. I have to update my review based on the latest interaction. My three year old Kitchenaid dishwasher stops in between the wash and rinse cycles and flashes an error code. It either drains after 30 minutes when the unit had cooled down or if I ran the "Rinse Only" cycle. Wilson diagnosed the issue as a plumbing problem, ran a snake down my drain, said the problem was fixed, and charged the $129 diagnosis fee. The problem wasn't fixed, the next morning the dishwasher stopped again in between the "wash" and "rinse" cycles. I called Wilson to request another call at my expense. He said he wouldn't come out, that Kitchenaids are expensive and unreliable and this was a sealant problem that prevented any water from being drained. He said I needed to throw away the Kitchenaid dishwasher -- he suggested only buying Bosch -- and buy a new one for around $1000. However, if it's a sealant problem, why did the dishwasher drain after 30 minutes? He had already hung up. I decided to seek a second opinion. read more

We called Wilson for a broken dryer, he came promptly and fixed it very quickly. He quoted the service called upfront. While here he be offered an additional service for cleaning the dryer too. We took him up on that and now our dryer in the dryer vent are both clean. Excellent service. read more

I've used Wilson twice now--for two different brands of dishwashers at two different locations. The first time was a little over a year ago. Our Bosch dishwasher quit working the week before Christmas. I figured there was no hope of finding someone to fix it quickly with the holidays bearing down on us. However, Thinh was at our house within a couple of hours after I called him. He wasted no time and went directly to the source of our problem and fixed it. The most recent problem was with a Whirlpool dishwasher which quit working. Thinh again very quickly diagnosed the problems and corrected them. Thinh takes time to answer your questions and makes sure you understand what he has to do to repair your appliance. He sets a very high standard for his work and goes well beyond the minimum to get an appliance working again. This last service call, he took apart and thoroughly cleaned the internal parts of the dishwasher to remove the detergent and mineral deposits that built up over the years. He then recommended a better detergent and a dishwasher cleaning product to be used every 6 months to prevent further problems. I'm glad I found Wilson Appliance and will know whom to call for any future appliance repairs. read more

My refrigerator was not getting cold. I called Wilson Appliance after trying to deal with service requests online. He answered the phone right away! Told him the problem. That was 8:30 in the morning. He actually arrived about an hour later! He was very very friendly and very clean and neat. He kind of knew what the problem was and had the part with him. He wasn't even here an hour! Fixed it and had very reasonable rates! I really appreciated his fast response so I don't have to worry about Thanksgiving! read more

Absolutely amazing. My (pretty new) refrigerator/bottom freezer kept leaking. I called on a Wednesday night and Hung was here at 8am the next morning. I spent 2 hours trying to trace the leak myself. Hung walked into my house, opened the freezer and immediately knew the problem. It wasn't as simple as just a "part fix"....he modified a part because he said it would keep happening because of the model. It took him less than an hour. Not only was I impressed with his knowledge and speed but his kindness and cleanliness. He cleaned up behind my refrigerator, he broke up the additional ice that was remaining, showed me a few other tips on cleaning by the motor so it doesn't burn out. I am very pleased with the services provided by this company. I found reviews on the Nextdoor app that were raving about this company's efficiency, responsiveness, and professionalism. I called them late yesterday afternoon at 4:47 PM to see if I could schedule an appointment. I was expecting to be told it would take a week to get out here since we live in Gilroy. Instead he told me he would be here at 9 AM today. Not only did he schedule my appointment for the next day, but managed to replace the part and had the washer up and running within an hour. He carries parts in his van so he'll be ready to go. I didn't have to wait for him to order the necessary part or be given a run around. He also cleaned out the dirty stuff underneath the drum. What company does that?! Apparently this one does. He was extremely knowledgable and very efficient. I believe he is also the owner. I highly recommend this company's services to anyone who wants to have their appliances working in a reasonable amount of time for a decent price. I had another company out here a couple of years ago and was very disappointed. We ended up having to figure out how to repair the appliance ourselves because they couldn't figure out what to do!! I was reluctant about calling another appliance company out and spending money on a trip charge, but this company impressed me. We had a Samsung High Efficiency Washer that when the cycle started, the water poured out the bottom of the machine. Luckily the newer home has a drain in the floor for such emergencies. I called many repair shops and the results were either not getting through, no replies to voicemail, and we don't work on that brand. Finally I found Thinh at Wilson Appliance Repair after hours and not only did he pick up the call, he was onsite on-time at 8am the next morning. As soon as he looked under the machine, he knew what the problem was, had parts in hand, and completed the repair in 30 minutes. We had high hopes for this guy, who comes to our apartment complex regularly. He was supposed to do something with the extensive howling sound produced by our neighbor's dryer, with vent pointing to our bedroom window. After 10 minutes he was out stating: "There's nothing wrong with the dryer, it's just old, they do it." Period. As far as we saw, he even didn't look at the vent pipe itself from outside. Well, the sound didn't go away on its own and we are still going to bed and waking up with our loved, freakingly annoying sound of the dryer for the last 10 months. I don't blame this guy for a total failure of other people, including the property manager of Villa Serena, the neighbor herself, project Sentinel, etc. But he could have employed his common sense and pictured himself sleeping in that bedroom across the aisle. How would that feel (or sound)? Unfortunately, the common sense is a rarity in US these days, but fast cash always rules. Wilson, you had a chance to walk an extra mile and solve our pain. My washing machine started having error codes and locking the door on me. I have never found anyone in the Gilroy area that I was too happy with, so I decided to call Wilson Repair. The owner answered the phone right away, that was nice! Then I explained to him how old the machine was and what was going on. He was so sweet and said that it would an expensive repair and it would be best to just go take advantage of the sales going on and get a new one. He even made recommendations. So I can't comment on his repair abilities at this point, but I will definitely call him when I do need repairs!! read more

Couldn't ask for better service! Tinh picked up the call when I made it, 20 minutes later he was at my house disassembling my dryer and in 15 minutes the repair was done.
