I highly recommend them to fix your appliances! We have American home shield and the first company they sent out to repair our refrigerator was a complete nightmare. Luckily the second time we were able to get Geo Appliance to take a look at our issue. George was so knowledgeable and knew right away the problem was that our Samsung fridge back panel was causing the water leak into the drawers. He was in and out within 30 minutes and the follow up appointment to do the repair with the parts was also very speedy. Great service and great value! My microwave unfortunately decided to go on the fritz recently. I called ahs, my home warranty service and they gave me a company that had very bad reviews. I immediately asked for a different company and they offered GEO appliance services. I quickly looked him up on Yelp and saw great reviews, one of the reasons why I am writing this review. I gave GEO service a call and was able to schedule a day for them to come out and evaluate the problem. Microwave would turn on and rotate with the door open. George Jr. Was on time and very professional. He immediately knew the issue and said it was an easy fix. Once he left, the work order had been created and waiting for the home warranty approval. Once approved it took about 5 days for the part to come in and I got a call to schedule the fix. George Jr. Come again on time and professional. The whole process took no more than 40min. My microwave works like new. Overall, I am very happy with GEO appliance service. If you use AHS warranty or any other company and you're in the bay area I highly recommend GEO, they're family owned, very insightful, professional and get the job done. I'd like to express my appreciation for a Great experience with GEO Appliance Service. I contacted GEO for help with a cracked glass ceramic cooktop. I had already acquired the part, but needed someone to install it. My initial phone call to GEO and all subsequent phones calls were answered promptly. Any questions that could not be answered, were passed on to George, and he quickly responded. Once my appointment was set up, I immediately received a text confirming my appointment. George initially came out to replace the cracked glass ceramic cooktop, but some additional foam padding needed to be ordered. George installed the cooktop so we could at least cook while we waited for the correct foam padding. George arrived on time for all appointments, was very professional and courteous, brought protection for flooring and countertops, and was very meticulous with the installation. Initially, I was very nervous about the replacement of the cooktop in my custom built kitchen, but George quickly put me at ease. He knew exactly how to do the job, and that in some cases, the cooktops are secured from underneath, and do not just pull up. George had to slide out the oven in order to release the cooktop. Since George needed to return once the foam padding arrived, I was not even charged for the entire repair on his first visit. Once the padding arrived, George returned to install the foam padding, and again arrived on time, brought everything he needed to do the repair, and completed the installation quickly and professionally. Very good service. Sometimes might need to call their office a couple of times since there's only one person managing the phone and other stuff. But very responsive and they'll call you if they say they'll call back. The repair folks are knowledgeable and more than happy to answer your questions. They figured out our fridge's issue quickly and tried to remedy it. Once they identified the issue couldn't be repaired, they helped us understand the options to replace the fridge via home warranty. I had already pre-ordered the PC board and fuse from Zephyr who sent me the parts by UPS in 2 days. George switched all the wires to the new PC board quite efficiently and showed me that the transformer had burnt in the old board. The range hood was working in about half an hour after George showed up. It was a huge sigh of relief for me to see the less than 2-year expensive appliance working again. Wanted to write a follow up and Give Geo a lot more credit Our problem turned out to be both a combination of the electrical issue mentioned in my previous review, and numerous parts issues with the washer dryer unit itself. In the end, we found our home warranty company was truly the source of all of our headaches. They were very resistant to approving requests and ordering parts. Geo was actually lobbying on our behalf, and ultimately, they were able to convince the home warranty company to completely replace our washer dryer with a brand new unit. George came out and installed the unit and now it's working perfectly! I also spoke with George regarding my previous review, he disclosed that Geo is a small family owned business, and that his wife who answers the phones is juggling this job along with school - hence the difficulty making contact. Whether or not that's acceptable is up to you, the consumer. But for me, George and his wife are good people and will ultimately do right by you if you have a little patience. Thanks Geo! read more

UNRESPONSIVE AHS referred me to repair our refrigerator. 5 days elapsed and no call from this company. I called on the 5th day, no one answered. Left a message with my name, number, and that there was a work order dispatched from AHS. No call back the next day. So I called AHS to switch service companies and have an appointment scheduled. If they are too busy to accept new business, then don't take the order - simple. Instead of taking the order, not responding, then leaving a bad customer experience - not good business. AHS sent out "another company" ( I will not mention ) to repair our Viking range/oven as the two right burners were not igniting the gas when activated. When the "tech" left he said its all fixed, I turn on the burner and I get a loud POP accompanied by a shower of sparks just like in the movies ... and now NOTHING works, no burners, no oven, no nothing ... oh and did I mention its December 19th ? Next, the "tech" tells me he has to get a schematic as he does not know whats wrong, then the next day( Friday 12/20 ) he says it will be a couple weeks as he has to order parts. I call AHS and Im furious since all they have done is make things worse - and since they pick the company its their responsibility. I have had previous experience with GEO appliance through AHS, they fixed our washing machine and they did a good job. So I ask AHS to send them GEO out ... AHS says no can do .. they are booked solid. So I called GEO and asked if they could help squeeze us in so we can cook for the holiday. George came out on Monday (12/22) and with no schematic and no parts he found where the last "tech" had caused a short circuit when he pinched a wire between the panel and the chassis. So in less than an hour he had everything working and we had a happy holiday ... so George literally saved Christmas last year. They squeezed us in at the last minute and he came out FIRST thing on Monday, hows that for above and beyond the call of duty ? To date, GEO Appliance has successfully repaired our washing machine, Viking range and Samsung Refrigerator .. so whenever I book a repair with AHS in the future you can be sure I will choose GEO Appliance. read more

I had a great experience with GEO Appliance Service and I would highly recommend them. I contacted GEO for help with a dishwasher repair. We ended up not being able to repair the dishwasher due to circumstances outside of GEO's control (COVID-related supply shortages) and so GEO ultimately helped us with installing a new dishwasher. My service experience was exemplary in both cases. Front Office Very easy to work with. I did not need to wait long on the phone and I received crisp, courteous service. They followed through on their commitments and communicated clearly. I also had several questions between service visits and they quickly followed up with me to address them. Actual Service Visits To begin with, George arrived on time. Throughout both visits, he was also a consummate professional and easy to work with. He handled the job efficiently and effectively and he clearly takes pride in doing excellent work. From my occasional check-ins, I could tell that George was taking the time to do things right. George also took good care of my home. Case-in-point, in contrast to other contracts I've unfortunately worked with, George completed the job without damaging my flooring or cabinetry. What I really appreciate about George is how he went above-and-beyond. Unlike a previous dishwasher technician, George proactively identified numerous deficiencies with the installation of my prior dishwasher, beginning with substandard flooring. He showed me exactly what the problem was and described exactly what I needed to do to address it. In another indicator of his professionalism, George made clear that the flooring work was outside of his area of expertise. However, he did provide an excellent referral to another very reliable contractor who did a great job repairing the flooring. Beyond the flooring, George identified other issues with the configuration of both the inlet and outlet tubing and took the time to address them as well. I called quite a few places looking for someone who would look at my wine fridge. I found a lot of places that only do blah blah blah (brands/units/etc). One of the places recommended GEO and it was just what I wanted. He came out on time, diagnosed the problem and gave me a lot information about what what was going on with my unit. Evidently there is a leak in the system. To see the extent of the leak he recharged the refrigerant and looked for an obvious leak. There was no extra charge for the material or the time! I paid the diagnosis charge and now we can see how long it stays charged. He was very straight that it could only be a few days or a few years, but that this was the first step. He gave me good advice about how to look for signs of a leak so if it is a short term fix, I will know what to do next. Better that junking the whole thing and all for the price of an initial evaluation. read more

I contracted GEO through our home insurance. They were very responsive during scheduling and tried their best to get us on the schedule for a freezer not freezing well. On the day of the service, the technician arrived well within the scheduled time window. The problem was diagnosed and resolved. We even got a bit of a cleanup since the work was around the heat pump/compressor unit. I'm very happy with the service provided, it was very professional. UPDATE#2: looks like the owner deleted his response? So easy to blame GE, but not so easy to take responsibility when your own company makes a mistake? So much for 'dependable' appliance care.. UPDATE: Appreciate the response completely blaming GE for this bad experience, but GEO takes no responsibility for listening to my message noting the 8-5 window I was told and not calling me back in the morning to let me know that that wasn't in your system?? And instead half the day is wasted waiting around and I have to call you guys to find out the window I was given was incorrect? The receptionist I spoke with said she got my message but gave no reason as to why she couldn't call me back that morning to let me know. If you want to respond to these reviews blaming GE, at least take responsibility for the part of the bad experience that your company was directly responsible for. So I scheduled a washer repair through GE because it is still under warranty. After a mixup with the original company they had scheduled me with, on Thursday morning GE told me that GEO appliance had an availability for Friday with a window between 8am-5pm. (Yea holy crap, 9 hour window). Because the last GE scheduling had the incorrect window, I called GEO appliance directly to confirm this service. I left a message Thursday morning/afternoon and received no return phone call. By 11am on Friday (date of the supposed service) I still hadn't heard anything so I called again. This time someone picked up and she said that she hadn't seen the request come through from GE and that yesterday she had to leave for an emergency and that is why she hadn't picked up. I said I had left a message to try and confirm the window and she said she got the message but never called me back?? Even though I said GE gave me a window for today between 8-5, she could have at least called in the morning to let me know that that wasn't the case and we shouldn't wait around all day? All she could say was that I shouldn't talk to her like that, but literally there was no reason she couldn't at least call to give a heads up in the morning so no one was wasting their time waiting for someone that wasn't even going to show? Our ice maker stopped making ice in our Samsung Side by Side. I called our warranty company, Old Republic, who we have been with for over 25 years. ORHP tried to assign a service provider who they dispatched a year or so ago for a previous problem with the ice maker, but who completely misdiagnosed the problem and we had to start over with another service provider who did the repair successfully. This time they assigned us to the very nice family business, GEO Appliance, named after owners George and Geovanna. Being very busy, Geovanna scheduled George to come out the following week. He texted when he was on his way and when he arrived as well. He determined we needed a new ice maker, and ordered the replacement before he left. Geovanna scheduled the next visit about a week and a half later. On repair day, George texted and arrived shortly after. He installed the new ice maker and by the evening we had ice again. I requested service from American Home Shield insurance (AHS) to fix a built-in microwave oven and a noisy range hood. They assigned GEO Appliances, and George showed up. What a delightful pro! He had AHS get parts for both appliances, installed the LCD display for the microwave without difficulty, but found that AHS got the wrong part for the range hood -- twice. All is well that ends well. If I have another appliance hiccup, I will call on George directly. read more

Got in touch with Geo appliance through home warranty company for leak in refrigerator water tank and problems with gas cooktop. Geo appliance was prompt in calling me and scheduling appointment. George Rodriguez looked at the problems, explained clearly what he is going to do to fix it and he needs to order parts. Again got another call (very professional) for scheduling appointment to fix the problems. George went above and beyond to fix the refrigerator, cleaned up the compressor and drank water from dispenser to check whether it is ok. George also fixed the problems with gas cooktop. I give them 3 stars because they did ultimately fix my appliance. -2 stars because communication was not ideal. I reached out to our home warranty due to a broken microwave. They assigned us to GEO Appliance. I've used the home warranty before for another issue and the assigned service tech reached out to us the same day. I had to proactively reach out to GEO after a few days. Left a message. No response. I called a few days later and finally got a hold of someone - they sent someone right out. He was very friendly/respectful and COVID-safe. He mistakenly misdiagnosed the issue which delayed the repair, but then I had to keep calling to check on the part once the correct diagnosis was made - they didn't explain how long it would actually take. Eventually they fixed it, but it was about a month without a microwave. Repair service was good, office support and communication was poor. I don't think I would recommend for that reason. read more
