Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but her patience, knowledge, and willingness to help were outstanding. Since my size wasn't available in the store, she helped me place an order and made sure I got exactly what I needed. To my surprise, the boots arrived earlier than expected, and they fit perfectly right out of the box. Great customer service is hard to find these days, and this experience exceeded my expectations. Not sure who was an employee or who was just there hanging out. Not once were we greeted, my husband had to go to the counter to ask if he could use a fitting room. At that point I was the one helping my husband get different sizes and styles. The 30minutes that we spent there shopping not once did the move from behind the counter, you can see on the pictures I posted that one of them is sitting on the counter. The had snacks and drinks, I mean they were having a great time. At one point I heard an older gentleman asking about the current promos, one of the young ladies was yelling that they had 40% off across the store. My husband only purchased on tee since no one offered to get one off a mannequin, that was the size he needed. This was the worst experience we have had here, I hope someone addresses this with the employees. I would hate to see this store close because no one is making sales. Went with my wife yesterday to purchase a jacket. Never been to this location before. I usually go…read moreto the one in Berkeley. However, my wife wanted to see if this one was the same as that one. Walked in and was greeted by 2 employees. That was pretty friendly in my eyes. Found an employee, who was available, in the section I was in. He immediately asked me if i needed help with anything. I described to him what I was looking for and he showed me 2 diffrent items and walked away. However, neither was what I was looking for 100%... so I continued to look. I found a jacket that was locked up, so I went back to him to ask him to unlock. He was placing some items on a tank and said he will be there in a minute. However, when he finished, he walked past us and continued to put stock items that were not in his hand initially when I requested assistance. I continued to watch him stock, clearly ignoring my request. I went back to him and asked if he was going to help us, he looked at me and then he radioed for someone else. When that passion came, he held his hands up saying he was busy with the items he had. So, she apologized and thanked us for our patience. She unlocked the jacket, gave it to us and walked away. I tried on the jacket (Feeling a way about how we were treated by the other employee). I decided that I wanted to try on another color. Unfortunately, the employee was the only one in the area. I went to him and told him what I needed. During this time, he watched my wife struggle to zip up the 1st jacket. He finally stated he would do it. We stood there watching him fumble with the jacket close to 5 mins. We also had to stand there while he stopped to assist another customer with a question. We were in totally disbelief. After, he confirmed the size I needed, although I said it twice to him. He gave me the jacket and watched me while I sent to the mirror to look at myself. He stayed right behind us. So, I went to another mirror. He followed us. At this point, i was annoyed because the other employee did not ready us this way. I told him that we were going to buy the jacket,. He said "Are you going to buy the jacket?". I said yes. He said "Would you like me to take it to the front?". I told him that we can take it to the front ourselves. I all for the manager immediately when I got to the cashier. I spoke with Peter (Manager). I told him about the whole ordeal. I told him that I watched and heard how he interacted with other customers who were not black. I told him that we felt discriminated against. I told him that we felt disrespected. He told us that he was not excusing anything, but he wants me to know that the employee was autistic. I told him that e have people with autism in our family, I am a social worker and educator. However, how we were treated had nothing to do with autism. I told him this was ridiculous as 1st time customers. I told him that I was going to do a review on this location. He said he would coach that employee on this interaction. He asked me what he could do. I told him nothing really. We are pissed. He gave me 70% off to be used on the next visit. I told him to apply it more because I had no intentions of coming back to this location. That employee was racist.

I took a journal-making class, which is offered twice a month and gets filled up very quickly. There are other "how to" classes including basket-weaving, belt-making, card game case, journal holster, wallet, etc. It's super neat and it's a fun activity to do with other strangers!
